It had started out with a request from Kaeya and one that Diluc readily yet hesitantly agreed to.

"Let's have a little fun like we usually do, " Kaeya had told him one late night in the bar as Diluc was closing up.

"What type of fun?" Diluc asked as he finished drying a glass. Setting it off to the side he looked back at Kaeya, crossing his arms.

Usually their games were unconventional and sometimes messy, although they both enjoyed it and there was no lasting damage done to Kaeya. Which was Diluc's only rule, whenever this talk came up.

Kaeya smiled, although it was a bit more carefree with the haze and warmth from the alcohol running through him.

"I mean this, " Kaeya said, placing a small vial of something on the bar countertop for Diluc to see.

For a second Diluc frowned for a moment as he stopped in the process of wiping down the countertop. With the bar closed for the night, only he and Kaeya were in the building.

Diluc picked up the vial carefully holding it up to the light to see. It looked familiar although it took him a second to realize why the dark murky liquid shifting as he gave it a small shaky.

"Is this..." Diluc begins, setting the vial down once more.

"From our bedroom nightstand? Yep, " Kaeya chuckles, not bothering to keep his voice down.

Diluc's eyes grow wide, as his face turns about the same shade of red as his hair. "Why-why did you bring it here?" he spluttered.

Kaeya's smile only grew, his usual slight teasing air surrounding him. "Because I want you to use it, " he told him as if it were obvious.

"I just cleaned the bar, why didn't you say anything earlier, " Diluc finally managed to point out with a soft huff, once his shock had passed.

"Not now, that wouldn't be any fun Diluc, " Kaeya muttered rolling his eye.

"Then when-"

"Surprise me, " Kaeya said with a shrug. "I want you to catch me off guard, " he admitted knowing he'd just have to outright tell Diluc what he wanted.

But Kaeya knew when he saw that familiar spark in Diluc's eyes, that the other man was already ready and eager.

Diluc said nothing as he picked up the familiar vial once more, staring at it for a moment before looking back at Kaeya who was staring at him, that usual teasing grin on his face. As if he was challenging Diluc to accept, and Diluc does just that, carefully tucking the vial into his pocket as he adjusts his gloves.

Clearing his throat, Diluc gives Kaeya a pointed look. "We'll discuss the specifics in the morning, just so you're sober when you know what you're getting into."

Kaeya chuckled, a slight smirk spreading across his face. "Oh Diluc, I always know what I'm getting into when you're involved."

While Kaeya had a lot of patience he was also someone who got bored easily and tried to find his fun where he could.

Whether that be convincing Klee to go fish blasting, much to Jean's horror, drinking the night away listening to music as he listened to Rosaria complain, or just teasing Diluc.

Although in between his usual mundane work, he had found something a bit more interesting to hold his attention.

The Traveler, Aether, who'd arrived in Mondstadt a few weeks ago and quickly helped quell the Storm Terror threat. And although Kaeya hadn't had the chance to be there when Aether had, Kaeya had his own ways of finding things out.

There was never a dull moment with Aether around which was probably what Kaeya enjoyed the most.

"Well, look at you, " Kaeya said as he entered Angel's share. Aether was sitting at the bar counter, a glass of non-alcoholic apple cider in hand. "Finished your commissions?"

It wasn't that Aether wasn't old enough to drink, but more so that he had trouble remembering his actual age although he claimed it was at least 500.

Which, considering his sudden appearance, use of elemental magic despite the lack of a vision, and Paimon backing up Aether's statements Kaeya was inclined to fully believe him.

Especially when there were people such as Venti freely walking around.

Diluc glanced up from his usual spot behind the bar as Kaeya entered, giving Diluc a brief little wave his full attention on Aether.

"Yeah, I finished early and wanted to relax, " Aether told Kaeya with a small smile.

"And Paimon? Usually, she's stuck to you like glue, " Kaeya chuckled, taking a seat beside Aether at the counter.

Aether gave a soft snort, his smile growing a bit, "Amber mentioned food to her and Paimon decided to get dinner with her."

Diluc scowled as Kaeya's smile grew, it was a familiar sight and usually a rare one he only showed Diluc.

So he admittedly felt a bit irked seeing Kaeya show Aether that same, warm, sincere look.

Taking a deep breath Diluc turned away as he began to prepare Kaeya's usual drink. Making sure that Kaeya's attention was fully on Aether as Diluc retrieved the vial Kaeya had given him days ago.

Kaeya had said surprise him, and what better time to do so when Kaeya had more than likely forgotten as well as when he was unassuming and unaware.

Although admittedly Diluc could be a bad liar he did have a relatively good poker face, still even he had to bite the inside of his cheek to keep his expression neutral as he set Kaeya's drink down in front of him.

"Here, just pace yourself, " Diluc sighed. "I don't want to have to carry you home again."

It was relatively early at night so there were quite a few regulars at the bar, perfect for exactly what Diluc needed and what Kaeya had wanted.

Kaeya gives a small snort. "Oh come now Diluc, you must know better than anyone that I can handle my alcohol just fine."

Diluc just shrugs, rolling his eyes as Kaeya picks up his drink, taking a sip before turning back to Aether.

Continuing his usual flirting as if Diluc wasn't even there.

And Diluc couldn't help wonder if Kaeya was doing it on purpose, it wouldn't be the first or last time Kaeya had teased Diluc like this.

In fact, Kaeya had done it so much it was more like a hobby for him at this point. Frequently stating that seeing Diluc get so worked up was cute.

Busying himself with cleaning some of the used glasses Diluc glanced up at Kaeya every so often as he waited for the sign that the drug was about to kick in.

And he gets it although it is a bit more surprising than he expects, a loud burp jolting Kaeya's body as it leaves his mouth.

Diluc slowly blinks, all his attention on Kaeya as the other man just sits there for a moment staring at the counter, his eye wide.

"Whoa, are you alright?" Aether asked, laying a hand on Kaeya's arm.

Kaeya smiles slightly and gives a soft shaky chuckle. "O-of course, why do you ask, " Kaeya asked, his normally smooth voice slurring as he swallowed thickly.

Kaeya was admittedly panicking, a second ago he'd been fine his usual confident and flirtatious attitude on full display as he boldly flirted with Aether.

But that usual playfulness was hard to find when Kaeya felt as miserable as he currently did.

His stomach had started churning incredibly violently, its contents swirling and sloshing inside of him like a whirlpool.

Kaeya finds it hard to breathe, let alone focus as the waves of nausea crashing over him make him almost dizzy.

He forces another chuckle, swallowing hard when he feels bile burning and bubbling at the back of his throat. Although doing so only makes him feel sicker, a small cramp nagging at his stomach from the action.

"I'm perfectly fine...let's continue where we left off, " Kaeya manages to say, his words coming out slurred and in a rush.

"Are you sure?" Aether asked leaning forward a bit to peer into his face. "You're shaking and sweating, " he said, obviously concerned.

Kaeya bites his lip as he runs a trembling hand over his face, he didn't know what was wrong with him or why this was happening.

Had he eaten something off? Was he sick or coming down with something?

Kaeya didn't know which admittedly had him panicking especially considering his condition was rapidly getting worse.

Kaeya groaned softly, his face in his hands as he swallowed rapidly trying to clear the metallic tasting saliva steady filling his mouth.

This was not good, Kaeya realized. He needed to leave, now .

But he couldn't move, it was as if his limbs refused to respond.

"Kaeya? Are you alright, " Aether asked, giving him a slight shake.

Although Aether froze when he heard a loud, sickly sounding gurgling noise and in the next moment Kaeya's body jolted with a loud wet burp bringing up a wave of semi watery vomit all over the counter.

Aether jumped, flinching back slightly although that didn't stop the slight amount of vomit from splattering on his arm. "Oh gods, Kaeya are you alright?" Aether asked slightly frantically, laying a hand on his shoulder.

Kaeya says nothing too busy trying to force back the next wave of vomit threatening to burst out of him, his hands clamped over his mouth as his shoulders shake with a barely suppressed heave.

Silence. Absolute silence seems to cloak the bar, as Kaeya feels all eyes on him and his face feels incredibly warm as it burns with shame and embarrassment.

He tries to swallow back the contents of his stomach that are rapidly filling his mouth, but his stomach immediately denies his attempts, instantly forcing more up. Before Kaeya can make another attempt he retches violently, a wave of slightly thick vomit coating and overfilling his cupped hands.

It's disgustingly hot, and he can feel the sludge and bile soaking into his gloves.

Frantically Aether looks over at Diluc for help only to freeze his eyes wide. Diluc isn't even paying Aether any attention his gaze entirely on Kaeya as the other man continues throwing up, a small smile of what looks almost like smug satisfaction on his face.

"M-Master Diluc?" Aether said softly to get the man's attention.

Diluc gives a soft hum as he sets the glass he'd been cleaning away, before walking around the counter to Kaeya, his stride almost leisurely.

He pauses for a moment at Kaeya's side, looking between the mess on the bar counter and Kaeya who's still retching up waves of vomit through half-lidded eyes as he gives another soft hum.

Then he reaches out seemingly unbothered by the mess, as he carefully begins to help Kaeya to his feet.

"Diluc..." Aether said softly, still looking at the pair in stunned shock.

Diluc chuckles, seemingly unphased by the fact that Kaeya was once again trying to keep himself from throwing up. One hand tightly clamped over his mouth as he retches again, vomit spraying the floor as it leaks through his fingers.

"Don't worry, I'll look after him. He probably just overdid it on the drinks again, " Diluc assured him as he glanced at Kaeya. "It'll be alright, just come with me, " Diluc told Kaeya as he began leading him to Angel share's back door.

Aether can't help but notice the slightly patronizing tone to Diluc's words as if he's talking down to Kaeya somehow.

But says nothing as he watches the pair disappear outside.

"Here, sit down, " Diluc muttered as he guided Kaeya into one of the wooden chairs that sat at the outdoor tables.

It was dark outside so besides one or two of the knights on patrol at the moment there wouldn't be any prying eyes.

"D-Diluc, something's wrong-" Kaeya managed to say his breath hitching as a loud burp had another wave of vomit gurgling up his throat.

Diluc gives a soft hum, giving Kaeya a small smile as he holds his hair back and watches him vomit again. "The only thing wrong is you being an unruly brat again, " he muttered.

Kaeya whimpers softly, slightly confused as he pants trying to take in as much air as he can before his stomach starts turning itself inside out again.

Diluc sighed seeing Kaeya's confusion he reached into his pocket, holding up the vial he'd been given for Kaeya to see. "Remember?"

Kaeya's eye widened as he just stared at the vial in Diluc's hand, swallowing rapidly as his stomach gave a low sickly growl. "Oh, " he whispers before lurching forward with another strangled retch.

And Diluc can't help but laugh softly at the reaction as he takes a seat close to Kaeya, minding the growing puddle of vomit at the other man's feet.

"You did say to surprise you, and what better time to do so when you're being an unruly brat in front of an audience, " Diluc reminded him, as he continues holding Kaeya's hair providing no other comfort as he watches the show Kaeya's putting on for him.

"Diluc, it won't stop, " Kaeya groaned, his arms wrapped around his stomach.

Diluc chuckles as he gives Kaeya a smile. "That's a shame. Why do you think I can do anything about it, " he said, giving a soft hum.

Kaeya whimpers again, only to be cut off as he retches again a small amount of bile adding to the now enormous puddle of vomit at his feet. "I-I need-"

Diluc reaches out waiting until Kaeya has stopped retching for a moment to take his face in his hands. Kaeya looks absolutely miserable, a layer of sweat covering his face, his normally tanned skin looks almost washed out and tinged with a green tiny, there's threads of drool hanging from his lips.

In Diluc's eyes Kaeya was always beautiful but seeing him like this never failed to take his breath away. "What do you need? If you want my help then you have to do it correctly, " Diluc reminded him, his tone firm yet gentle.

Kaeya gags but Diluc doesn't move away merely watching him for a moment, as Kaeya gasps and pants.

" Please , help me, " Kaeya whimpered.

Diluc takes a deep breath, then as though a switch had been flipped he begins tending to Kaeya immediately. Providing him all the comfort he needs, soft soothing words flowing from Diluc's lips as he carefully rubs Kaeya's back.

The two of them are in their own little world completely unaware of Aether peeking around the corner watching with wide eyes and a blushing face.
