jungkook's car was parked on the side of the street next to the building where seunghee lived, he ran his fingers through his hair, frowning into his rearview mirror as the soft brown strands fell back to the same exact position they had been in before.

he sighed and picked up his phone to shoot a text to her and not two minutes later, she hurried down the stairs and was out the door. she slipped into his car with a smile as she greeted him with a warm hello and grabbed his hand momentarily.

he smiled back, wanting to kiss her but not wanting to push it. they hadn’t actually kissed yet, and being the cliche kind of guy jungkook was, he wanted it to be better than in the car right now. so with a slight blush to his cheeks and and smile gracing his lips, he started his car again and they drove to the restaurant where they were meeting jimin and hoseok.

“look, i know you’ve already met hoseok, but i just wanna remind you how energetic he can be. and i know jimin will be new for you but don’t worry at all. he may seem kinda judgy at first but he's really just a marshmallow and i know that the two of you will get along great, i have no doubts.”

she giggled at jungkook's word choice for his friend and decided to keep her mind open, not really knowing what to expect after that description.

the two of them arrived a short five minutes later after their endless search for parking and jungkook grabbed seunghees hand as they made their way to the entrance of the building. a small bell twinkled above the door as they opened it and jungkook glaced around for his friends.

the two were coming from dance rehearsal so jungkook made sure to have them promise that they would at least try to shower before coming to meet her. she heard hoseok call out jungkook's name and her eyes went in the direction of the voice.

hoseok was sitting at a table for four by himself but there were two coca colas on the table.

“hey hobi, where’s jimin?” jungkook asked, taking a seat after greeting his roommate.

hoseok smiled at seunghee and waved at her enthusiastically before answering “he’s just in the bathroom, he’ll be out in a sec, how are you seunghee?” the couple took seats next to each other.

“i’m doing good, hoseok, what about you?” she replied.

"i’m fantastic, oh look, jimin is coming back,” he nodded his head to the area behind her and jungkook and she turned around to see a head of bubblegum hair and a warm smile that reached all the way to his eyes.

"jimin?”

“seunghee?”

“no way,” the two said in unison.

“sugar boy is jungkookie!? my jungkookie?” jimin asked, his eyes going wide as a bubble of laughter erupted from his mouth.

“well, yes” the girl replied in awe of who jungkook’s jimin really was.

“sugar boy? who is sugar boy” jungkook interrupted and asked hoseok in confusion. the other boy just shrugged his shoulders in amusement that the two knew each other.

“i cannot believe we have been talking about the same jimin this whole time.” seunghee turned to say to jungkook.

“i know, but what is a sugar boy?” jungkook pouted slightly because he had no idea what was going on.

“you are, kook,” jimin replied for her, sitting down with a face-splitting grin. his cotton candy pink hair was starting to loose some of its vibrancy but she didn’t doubt that he would soon dye it again.

“you were right jungkook, he is a marshmallow.” seunghee smiled at the boy beside her, gently trying to change the subject from the slightly embarrassing revealing of the fact that she’s been talking to jungkook’s best friend about jungkook and now he knows.

“you call me sugar boy?” jungkook blushed with a slight chuckle, but his cheek weren’t even near the shade of red of hers as she buried her face into his sleeve and mumbled a reluctant yes, the whole table could practically feel jungkook’s happiness as he mumbled a quiet “so cute.”

jimin broke the silence “well, now that we’ve all been melted into human puddles by the cute couple and we’ve settled that i probably know more about your relationship that the two of you in it do, let's order some food shall we,”
