the girl had been smiling more often, her brain not as mushed with work all the time. she had something to look forward to, or rather someone.

her and jungkook had started having frequent conversations, nearly every time they saw each other. the awkwardness was almost gone now that they had begun to speak regularly.

however, there were still the embarrassing moments where she watched him as he hopped up the stairs to the shop in the early hours of the morning only to miss one of the concrete steps and nearly face plant before catching himself on the door handle, only to open it and find seunghee laughing her head off at him.

their friendship was growing with the passing days as they slowly learned more about each other.

like how jungkook had a roommate named hoseok and a group of friends who he missed because he never got to see all of them at the same time anymore.

and how seunghee was an only child and didn't have a roommate or many friends.

come to think of it, seunghee didn't have any friends. she spent all of her time studying or working and had no time to meet new people.

but now, she had jungkook.

she wasn't sure what the status of their relationship was but she thought of him as a friend and she was grateful for him.

she snapped out of her thoughts when the door to the coffee shop she just started working at swung open.

the smile was quick to return to her face when she saw his face and she stole a quick glance at the clock to see what time it was, and sure enough it was around the time he came in every time.

he smiled back at her and rustled his hand through his hair.

"good morning seunghee, long time no see,” he chuckled a bit.

it hadn't been more than ten hours since they'd last seen each other at the convenience shop and she rolled her eyes in return.

“what would you like this morning?” she asked.

he always got the same thing in the convenience shop but she'd noticed that he liked to try different ones in the morning.

“I think I'll have a hazelnut coffee today, and of course, can I get that with extra sugar?”
