she was distantly aware of the door to the shop swinging open but her brain was still melted into the melody that was being emitted from the tiny apparatus beside the register.

her hair had slipped past her shoulders and rested over her collar bones while her eyes were hooded and her body swayed side to side gently with the rhythm if the song.

she opened her eyes once she felt like it had been long enough and met eyes with the boy who stood in front of her with a fond smile, startled, she soon enough she found herself in a pile on the floor.

the boy in front of her had surprised her so much that she'd fallen from the stool and landed on her butt behind it on the dusty tile floor.

embarrassed, she began to get up until the boy had peeked over the counter, his soft and concerned doe eyes peering down at her in worry.

“i'm so sorry! i didn't mean to scare you,” he rushed out and reached his hand over to the other side of the counter between them, offering to help her stand up.

she looked up at him and he sent her a sympathetic smile. dusting her hand off on her leg, she placed her hand in his, and let him gently pull her up from the ground with the help of her legs.

she thanked him and smiled.

“that's alright, i should have been paying attention anyways” she replied to his apology.

it took him a second to realize that this was the first time he'd ever heard her speak and entire sentence.

“also, i never got to properly thank you for the playlist. as you've probably seen already, I really like it.” she giggled a bit and her cheeks rosed up in red as she thought of how embarrassed she was a few seconds ago.

jungkook beamed back at her.

“I'm really happy that you like it,” he said back, trying to think of what to say next.

come to think of it jungkook didn't even know her name yet.

“I'm jungkook by the way,” he said softly.

“nice to talk to you jungkook, my name is seunghee.”
