the bags beneath her eyes were what one might consider permanent by now as she lazily leaned onto the counter next to the beige register.

her mind drifted to the best part of her life at the moment and to say that her and jungkook had gotten closer since getting dinner together would be an understatement.

it had been a few weeks and their usual antics had continued. he would always get his sickeningly sweet coffee to stay awake while he was on-air and she continued to work her two jobs while also balancing her studies.

his feelings for her had done nothing but get stronger and he had to try his best to be normal in front of her, reigning in the thoughts he had about how perfect she was no matter how many times she complained about herself and the way she looks and controlling his heart beat when she smiled at him and cutely waved just before he opened the clear glass door to the convenience shop and to the coffee shop and the way she would repeat the action when he turned around to say goodbye.

he had to restrain himself from pulling her into a hug when she told him about how rough her day had been and stop himself from wanting to take care of her like they were dating.

but, little did he know, his feelings weren’t completely one sided.

she couldn’t ignore the way her heart sped up when he came into the shop and she tried her best not to swoon at his adorable smile.

there was something about him that made her want to be around him all the time. she didn’t know if it was his warm aura or the way he spoke or the way he looked at her as if she was the only thing in his line of sight, she could no longer deny that she had feelings for him.

but she knew that even if he did want a closer relationship, she was too busy. as much as she wanted it and she wished he would ask, she just couldn’t.
