omg. what is this? an update? what?

lol but in all seriousness, I'm sorry for not updating in forever but here is chapter 30 and hopefully I will be able to update a few times this week :)

“yes, my own music.” he nervously let out.

he was now regretting that he hadn’t told her before about his music because of the adorable way she was reacting but come to think of it, despite how often they talked and saw each other, they never seemed to talk about their classes apart from having a ton of work to do for them.

he knew that she was working two jobs because she needed the extra money but he didn’t know why she needed it. and she knew that he worked late at night but until tonight, she didn’t know what his job was. so this was an eye opener for both of them.

“well, you’ll have to play some for me when you get back to the studio,” she said gleefully.

“i’ll see what i can do,” he grinned back.

she looked down with a bit of a blush and jungkook was hit by a wall of curiosity and he couldn’t help himself from asking.

“seunghee?” she looked up and brushed her hair out of her face, “why do you have to work two jobs?”

as soon as he asked, he saw her face become a bit sad and immediately regretted asking, “actually, i’m so sorry for asking that, you don’t need to answer it.” he rushed out.

she breathed out a laugh at how flustered he became. “no, that’s alright, no need to apologize. i work two jobs because i need to extra money to pay for food and other things that my parents won’t pay for. they gave me money before they..”

her eyes became distant for a moment and she stopped talking

“anyways, it wasn’t enough to pay for everything, so i work to buy food and whatnot.” she finished.

his heart strained at the sad expression that was now on her face and he wanted to reach out and hug her.

“i’m sorry, i didn’t mean to intrude on your life.” he apologized again.

“really jungkook, it’s fine” she smiled reassuringly.

he smiled back and looked at her again with hope shining in his eyes, “could i buy you dinner tomorrow night?”
