seunghee ungracefully rolled her body off of her bed, barely landing on her feet and nearly slipping on an article of clothing left on the floor.

but there was nothing that could have woken her up more than when she stumbled into the corner of the wooden drawers beneath her bed and stubbed her toe so hard that she thought it was gonna fall off.

yelping and grabbing at the wounded stub, she hopped her way to the bathroom and grabbed her toothbrush to clean her teeth.

after washing up, she got dressed and did her hair with more effort than normal, even going as far as to apply the slightest bit of mascara.

she wasn't trying too hard to impress the people at the coffee shop down the street from where she was basically just laid off from but she also didn't want it to look like she had just rolled out of bed and stubbed her toe on her dresser even if that was the real truth of the matter.

grabbing her bag and an olive green jacket to slip on if she got cold, she made her way out of her dorm as walked to the coffee shop.

despite the concern that her former boss at the coffee shop had expressed about her health and wanting her to take a break from the amount of time she spent working and always doing something, there was no way she could go long without the second job.

although it didn't pay much at all, she was still able to afford food to suffice her needs when she had it.

in her mind, there was no such thing as time to herself other than the time she spent asleep in her dorm.

the bell of the new coffee shop rang as she opened the door. she'd gotten up early enough so that she could get there before it got busy and right when they were opening.

a woman behind the counter who looked much older than the college student smiled at her.

“good morning! what can get for you?"

seunghee smiled back and made her way to the counter.

"actually I was wondering if there was any chance you were hiring at the moment?”

seunghees statement came out more like a question.

“ah, yes actually we are looking for some new employees. i am the owner so I can interview you right now if you'd like?”

the woman smiled again.

“that would be wonderful, I'm seunghee by the way.”

she reached her hand out and shook hands with the woman behind the counter who proceeded to ask her some standard questions for a job interview at a coffee shop and soon enough, seunghee was walking out of the shop with a new job.

I'm sorry but I forgot to mention earlier that when seunghee got let go from her other job, it was a few days ago and was sort of like a flashback to a couple of days ago
