Taehyung
After a hectic day at school I opened the front door to my house and let my self in. I sighed and plopped my keys on the counter before heading upstairs to take a shower. I would usually work out to maintain muscle since it shrinks when I laze around but I was just too tired to care at that moment.
2 hours later...(dont judge me if you're not a person who takes a crap lot of time taking a shower)
Later that evening..
"RRRRRiiingggggg!"
The phone on my bed side table started to ring in an ear-splitting tone. Quite upset that I was awoken this way, I reached for my phone to take a look at the ID.
Realization hit me like a truck on the highway... it was my father..
Call CUT/ANSWERED
[Me]- ....H-hello?....
God, there we go with mistake number 1
[Father]- KIM YERA! YOU DO NOT STUTTER WHEN YOU SPEAK!..
[Me]- Forgive me sir I was sleeping....
I rolled my eyes at the apology. I was always apologizing with him...not doing any justice on my part since it seems like I make mistakes often but I don't in all honesty...I've just learned to apologize for everything even if he doesn't deserve it or it doesn't call for an apology.
[Father]- That's more like it cadet. Going back to what I was going to say, word in the ranks is that the higher ups are raving about some pandemic. Its all hippy crap, do not fall for any this nonsense! Utter garbage...
He himself seemed unsure of it but I wasn't going to have to worry about it since the news wouldn't even affect me. The base was nowhere near this town so even if there was a pandemic it wouldn't reach here in good time.
[Me]- Yes Sir! I will keep this in mind...
[Father]-Good, how has the new school been treating you? You making good use of it? *cough*.....
[Me]-Surprisingly well sir, nothing to report...and yes It's still my first day so we didn't really learn much...
Since my father had been promoted he was asked to move and get stationed in a totally different town. Which obviously meant I had to transfer schools again. Not as exciting as it sounds...trust me. Plus it was pretty disappointing when I had basically slaved away to build up my reputation...and it was gone down the drain in just a matter of minutes. What reputation you ask? That one quiet kid that you bully and mess around with? Yeah? That's not me.
I was the quiet kid who was so invisible I didn't even get to be bullied....wasn't even given a nickname...or the opportunity to get called 'loser' since I got transferred before that could even happen.
Without another word my father hung up, no surprise there he would always leave whenever things got quiet. Ironic since he liked it that way...no chaos. And just like him that's how I preferred it as well. Like father like daughter I guess...
Checking the time on my phone I decided to finish up some assignments I had due for tomorrow before heading to bed...again.

The next day (6:40) ~A quick little author's note here.. pay attention to the times, they will help and clear up any confusion.~
Walking to school early in the morning was very relaxing despite the constant chills that just kept running up and down my back, assuming that it was just the cold I arrived at the school's main building.
The pervy looking security guard wasn't there this morning to stare at me creepily.
Well thats just oddly concerning...
I shrugged it off and made way to my classroom, hoping that I was the first to be there. I opened the door to the room and sighed. Unfortunately, somebody had the same idea to arrive early. The blonde haired boy who looked so engrossed in his notebook, barely glanced my way before he turned back to resume scribbling.
Minding my own business I walked over to the last row at the back and seated my self at a random table. Totally avoiding the designated area of expected socialism among the students in class.
"Do you find it weird that no one has even come to school yet?" The blonde asked me out of no where.
"Errm...I guess.." I said not fully wanting to engage in a conversation with him.
"Hi, my name is Kim Taehyung by the way.." he stated turning around in his seat to look at me. He had a small smile plastered on his face which radiated friendly-ness. He glanced at the window and looked back at me, bouncing his knee anxiously.
"Hi...the names Kim Yera" I said bowing my head in return.
"You new here or sumn? I haven't really seen you around before" he asked randomly, which resulted in me raising an eyebrow in suspicion. He still looked distracted by whatever was outside.
Was he interested in talking or ogling at whatever it was that was distracting him? I was going to have to question him about that.
He then looked back at me and realized that I was giving him a glare.
"Oh don't mind me I'm just a curious person by nature" he said chuckling at my defensive behavior.
"And why should that affect me?... I moved here a week ago.." I said loosening up a bit. He seemed pleased that I looked less stressed by his questions.
"Well I hope we can get along in class, despite the fact that we might not have any today..." he said looking out the window worriedly. Instant horror was etched onto his face when he looked out.
"Why do you say that?" I asked a tinge of concern laced in my tone as I craned my neck to take a look at what he saw. Sadly I failed to do so.
"I have this feeling that something bad is about to happen...and its not a good feeling.." He said as he hurriedly started to pack his things.
"Wait what?" totally not expecting that sentence to be the one that came out of his box shaped mouth.
"Quick! Pack your things we need to get out of here.." he said as he shoved the last of his books into his bag and slung the bag over his shoulder. He walked over to me, grabbed my bag and speed-walked towards the door. This kid was confusing me by the second and the serious look on his face wasn't comforting. Was this some kind of prank? Was I being tricked? Like 'trick the new kid in school' as a sort of messed up welcome to the school?
"WHOAH there mister! Wait one second! What on earth are you going on about?!" I asked as I stood up, getting all panicky because of the sudden change in the atmosphere. The silence hanging in the air giving it a creepy yet dangerous vibe. He wasn't making any sense and I wasn't going to go anywhere until explained shit to me.
"I'll explain later! But right now our main priority is making sure that WE get out of here ALIVE" he said, fear evident in his eyes.
"Wait you're being serious? This isn't some sick joke?" I questioned raising one of eyebrows.
"What? No? No, this isn't some joke, I can assure you" he turned around and regarded me with a judgmental stare that seemed to say 'Are you serious? How many melodramatic teenage movies have you watched?'
He seemed to be quite serious, so I agreed hesitantly by walking towards him and taking my bag out of his grasp. I wasn't going to follow blindly and believe what he was saying just like that but I'll play along to see what was going to happen.
Slowly yet silently he cracked open the door to the classroom so he could take a look into the hall-way. Making sure that the coast was clear he motioned for me to follow him. Thanks to the strenuous torture or rather training I endured I was able to easily silence my footsteps as I followed him down the hallway.
All of a sudden a deep groaning noise was heard at the other end of the corridor. The sound was getting louder by the second which meant that whoever was making that noise was eventually getting closer. If I saw a kid dressed like an axe murderer I was going to flip a table on this blondie...that was for sure.
Adrenaline running in my veins I scanned my surroundings and found a hair clip on the floor not far from me. If I was going to make this seem realistic I might as well stick to the role of the not- so-fortunate new kid who was being tricked into thinking that there was some people-killing dope walking around school.
Picking it up I dragged Taehyung over to a nearby storage closet and unlocked the door using the pin and pulled the both of us in. It was dark but safe, our heavy breaths were the only source of sound in the closet.
"This reminds me of seven minutes in heaven" Taehyung said earning a glare from me which wasn't seen since it was pitch black in there.
"Oh shut it" I said pinching his forearm. Taehyung giggled at the reaction.
"What now?" he asked sliding on to the floor with a slight thump.
"You have some explaining to do.." I said poking him.
"Oh yeah well in the morning ...."
Earlier that day in the morning....
Third person's P.O.V
(6:30)
Taehyung was on his way to school when a car drove past him without warning at an intense speed. It barely avoided knocking him down in its unbelievable haste. What seemed out of order was that the entire vehicle was ablaze as it swerved a corner and disappeared. Taehyung's mouth hung wide open, his mind trying to process the recent images. He shook his head refusing to accept what he had just seen.
"That did not just happen..." he breathed out and continued his walk to school, deciding to just completely forget it and go about his day.
Walking up to the school gates, Taehyung felt uneasy for some odd reason. Every fibre in his body screamed that he was being watched, but he just couldn't pinpoint from where. Whatever it was...it was watching form afar.
The school gates were wide open and the security guard was no where in sight.
"Guy must be hammered..." Taehyung mumbled to himself as he entered the school grounds.
On his way to his classroom he saw the janitor eyeing him creepily. The guy was just staring at Taehyung and doing nothing, a bit bothered by the action Taehyung waved in hopes of drawing the elderly man's attention away from him. Not getting any reaction he hurriedly ran into the building in attempt to get away from the spine chilling stare.
He opened the door to his classroom and stepped in and almost immediately he was hit with a very disturbing, skin crawling vibe. Waiting for his friends to show up he sat down in the middle of the room and proceeded to draw something on his note book.
Taehyung checked the time, it was around 6:35 am. Bored out of his mind he walked around the room looking for something to do. He sat back down at his desk.
Where was everybody? By now the classroom would've been packed with bustling classmates. But, instead, just to dramatize the situation, imaginary tumbleweed sauntered in his sight.
He looked out the window to see if any students had arrived. While looking at the gates, something moving caught his eye, he saw a writhing mass of skin and bones, disjointed, shaking itself awake, forming a human shape as it assembled itself.
Unknown P.O.V .....
The janitor looked out upon the world, with new eyes. He no longer felt loved, feared or hated, his whole being was consumed by one thought....one need....a whole consuming thirst, greed for flesh and blood. He looked out upon the new world that stretched out before him. The world is your oyster, pick one, eat one.....EAT THEM ALL.....
And so he shuffled forward.....
Back to third person's P.O.V
Taehyung tried to focus on the lone figure now standing upright, motionless, staring out vacantly. 'He looked familiar yet so different....is that?...' Taehung thought. 'That ragged, bloodied, torn figure.....the JANITOR??!! Yes of course how could it not be?' Taehyung couldn't tear his eyes away form the scene unfolding in front of him. The would be janitor had started to shuffle forward, ever more purposefully.
Something had caught the janitor's attention as it stopped in its tracks and turned ever so slowly in Taehyungs direction.
Wait, what the hell?"
It seemed like Taehyung's mind was playing tricks on him. It was the janitor, he was so sure of it, but apart from his face his body it looked like it had gone through a meat grinder. (shish kebab anyone?...no?...just me?..ok..😐)
Taehyung's eyes focused more clearly, what was that thumping sound that rang in his ears? What was that sound that sounded like wind in the trees...just before a hurricane?
'THUMP'
'THUMP'
'THUMP.....
It took him a moment to realize, it was his own heart beating and threatening to explode out of his own chest. Revulsion weld up inside him, he couldn't breath, he couldn't talk...his throat felt like sandpaper. All he could hear was the sound of his heart beating in rhythm to the janitors movements as it slowly turned to face him.
Just then, the door to the room opened indicating that someone was entering, Taehyung looked up to meet the eyes of a beautiful girl around his age. To stop the blush from forming on his face he looked back down and resumed to scribble. His mind never leaving what he had jus seen. What IS that? First the car on fire and now this? Was he seeing things? No...its real...it felt so real...
The girl waltzed right past him and sat at the back of the class. The weird atmosphere was crushing him like a boulder, so he attempted to create small talk between the two to escape the awkward-ness.
"Do you find it weird that no one has even come to school yet?" Taehyung asked hoping that the girl was friendly.
"Err..I guess.." she said hesitantly.
"Hi, my name is Kim Taehyung by the way.." Taehyung said introducing himself, as he turned around to face her. He looked out the window to ensure that the apparition was still there and to his dismay it moved closer towards the school building. The anxiety seemed to eat at him alive as his old habit began to resurface...the leg bouncing had begun.
"Hi....the names Kim Yera.." the girl said bowing her head.
Still looking outside Taehyung "You new here or sumn? I haven't really seen you around before.." he looked back and noticed the glare being sent his way. He immediately tried to reason with her on why he was so questioning.
"Oh don't mind me I'm just a curious person by nature" Taehyung said as he chuckled at how cute she looked when she was mad.
"And why should that affect me?...I just moved here a week ago.." her passive aggressive response startled him but he didn't show it. He was just glad she getting used to his presence.
"Well I hope we can get along in class, despite the fact that we might not have any today..." Taehyung said as he looked out the window one more time, but this time the janitor was nowhere to be found which immediately took a toll on the boy as he started to panic.
"Why do you say that?" the girl asked now sounding unsure of his sudden behavior.
"I have this feeling that something bad is about to happen...and its not a good feeling.." he said as he hurriedly started to pack his things.
"Wait what?"
"Quick! Pack your things we need to get out of here.." he said as he walked over to the girl who had frozen in place at his mysterious words. He could see the cogs turning in her head but it was safer to assume that they didn't have the time to address the formulating questions.
He grabbed her bag and speed-walked to the door.
"WHOAH there mister! Wait one second! What on earth are you going on about?!" Taehyung could feel the frustration oozing out of her voice. He was thoroughly confusing her and he could tell from the hint of anger in her tone. .
He didn't have time for this.. NO they didn't have time for this.
"I'll explain later! But right now our main priority is making sure that WE get out of here ALIVE" He said, fear dripping out of his voice.
" Wait you're being serious? This isn't some sick joke?" Taehyung froze and turned to her with a confused look. What was she talking about? Yes, this was a very confusing situation but why would he trick her? What would he get out of that?
"What? No? No, this isn't some joke, I can assure you"
The girl seemed to understand as she hurried over to him and took her bag back into her hands.
Back to the present..
"So thats all i know.." Taehyung said.
"Wait..so you're telling me...there's an absolutely jacked up looking, (and not in the muscular way) serial killer, janitor right outside this door lurking in the hallways?" I winced at the image created in my brain as I tried break down what he just told me.
"Yep" Taehyung said popping the 'P'.
"Ok......wow...I-" Taehyung frowned when I started laughing quietly.
"W-why are you laughing?...What's so funny about this?"
"It's just funny...that you think you can trick me with that bullshit" I chuckled lightly and patted his arm.
"You don't believe me?? Didn't you see that thing?"
"See it? No, I heard ....something" she seemed to think a little before completing her sentence. "But that doesn't mean anything..."
"Fine, whatever let's just wait till WHATEVER is out there is gone before you decide to skedaddle" Taehyung grumbled and looked out of the gap in the door.
5 mins later...
"Is he gone?" Taehyung asked behind me as pushed my head out from the closet. I had decided to look out instead since he could be lying to me about anything and I wanted to see whatever it was for myself.
"Yeah.. I think so..." I said making sure that I kept my voice down.
But before I could say anything else a loud growl erupted in the hall opposite us
"Shit I wish I brought Jessi...damn your school for that weapon ban..." I whispered. Taehyung gripped my shoulder from behind.
"YOU HAVE A GUN!!!???" he whisper yelled.
"Yes, because my dad works in the army so I was trained to be able to take care of my self"
"With a GUN?!" Taehyung asked, utterly confused. "Why not a switch-blade or whatever? Why would you need a GUN? I know its a rough neighborhood but its not that bad..." Taehyung asked.
"Listen...DO NOT play with me...I am not the one..." I said grabbing Taehyung by the collar of his shirt.
"Ok ok! I believe you!" Taehyung said with a smirk because of my sudden out burst.
