Chapter Two: Evil

Kai goes into the bathroom on yet another morning. He goes to get his pills, but the bottle is empty. He's out. He starts to freak out a bit. This was bad. Even one day without could be dangerous! He runs out and to his room. Zane gives him a skeptical look. "Are you okay?" He asks his hot headed friend. Kai turns to him. "Nope!" He says then starts looking for his phone.

Zane stands and walks over to Kai. "Whats wrong?" He asks. Kai looks to him. "Just need to make a call! Hey, shouldn't you be cooking?" He says. Zane just leaves, worried for Kai all the while.

Out on the deck, Cole and Jay are sparing. Cole knocks Jay on his ass and laughs. Jay just grumbles and gets up. "Stop laughing! It's not like I have an element that GIVES ME SUPER STRENGTH!" He calls at his friend. Cole just laughs more. "Dude, what if I was Kai laughing at you like this? Would you freak then to?" Cole asks with a smirk. Jay flips him off. "You aren't Kai! Besides... Kai wouldn't laugh at me!" The blue ninja retorts.

"Would't laugh at you for what?" Kai asks as he stands at the door, phone in hand. Jay jumps and looks at Kai nervously. Cole just snickers. "Nothing! uh...... Who ya calling?" Jay answers. Kai just gives him a look. "I just got off the phone. Now give me a real answer Jay." Kai says. "It's nothing. Cole was just being a jerk as usual." Kai nods. "Uh.... are you two a couple?" Cole stops and his eyes widen as he blushes. Jay blushes as well. "WHAT?! NO! WHAT GAVE YOU THAT IDEA?!" Jay shouts, freaking out a little. "Well you two seem to follow each other around a lot." Kai says.

Jay looks horrified and Cole just facepalms. "Jay, why don't you and Kai hang out? I wanna..... taste test..... Zane's cooking." Cole says as he walks off. Jay just sighs. Kai looks plain confused. "Why don't we play some video games like old times?" Jay suggests. Kai just nods, looking nervous as he goes in.

They make it to the game room, but Nya is playing her own single player game so they opt for Kai's console in his room. They end up sharing a beanbag chair, not like Jay is complaining much, and play. After an hour of game play, Kai falls asleep and ends up curling into and snuggling against Jay, who immediately starts to blush. Jay looks at his dozing crush and smiles. This was nice. He put an arm around Kai and started to think.

After a while Jay had fallen asleep as well. The two males slept soundly as the day went on without them. When Cole was sent to get them he found quite the surprise. He just smiled and shook his head. When he shakes Jay awake the blue ninja glares at him. "I was having a good dream!" He shouts at Cole. Cole simply rolled his eyes and pointed at Kai. "What? I knew we were like this. No, we are not a couple. Yes, I wish we were." Jay says to Cole, seemingly reading his best friends mind. Cole rolled his eyes and smiled. "Dinner time Motor Mouth." He says as he walks out. Jay sighed and woke Kai who smiled tiredly. "It morning already?" Asked the red ninja. Jay chuckles. Kai sure was cute when half asleep.

When Kai finally noticed the position they were in his eyes widen as he pushed himself back and stared at Jay. "WHAT THE HELL?!" He called out in panic. Jay sighed sadly. "You just cuddled up to me in your sleep. Anyway... It's dinner time." Explained the blue ninja. Kai just stood up slowly, trying to come back to his senses.

At the dinner table, things were odd. Nya and Misako conversed, Wu was quiet, Lloyd and Zane carried conversation, Jay kept sending Kai nervous glances, Kai just poked at his food, and Cole watched Jay & Kai's behaviors with intrigue.

That night, Kai couldn't sleep. He was up all night mumbling to himself.

When the alarm went off, he was the first to the brig. Now there was a guy in a hood causing earthquakes in Jamanakai Village. The team went out and split up again. Nya was with Zane, Lloyd with Jay, and Kai with Cole.

Kai & Cole

Kai and Cole walked down the streets. They fixed things up as best they could while questioning villagers. Kai suddenly turns to Cole. "Cole.... uh... odd time to ask.... but is your real name really Coleman?" He asked his friend. Cole nods in confirmation.

Lloyd & Jay

Lloyd looks to Jay. "You have a crush on Kai, don't you?" He asks his blue friend. Jay stuttered in shock. "I... uh...." He let out as Lloyd looked to him. "Yes." He says as he drops his head. Lloyd chuckled. "Cute. Well your in luck. Kai is bisexual so you have a chance." Lloyd told him with a smile. "I honestly ship you guys." He added in the end. Jay perked up immediately.

Nya & Zane

Nya was chatting with Zane as they did their work. Mostly about random topics.

When the three groups met up the culpret this time showed up, a ghost, and trapped them in stone before leaving. Cole and Lloyd were able to bust them out. Once back in his room, Cole found a mystery paper in his pocket. It simply read: COLESON.

Cole frowned and turned it into Misako. She looked at it and the paper that was on Zane reading ZAN. What did this mean?

Kai ended up finding that one of the rocks had a symbol on it and started looking it up. When the internet failed he checked the library and found a book with the same symbol. it told of magical staffs that could either turn the world to chaos or lift it into a new age of peace. He had a feeling those two guys were looking for them.
