The young couple giggles as they tip toe onto the porch holding hands.

"Shhhh." Avi giggles. "It's past my curfew."

"Don't want to wake Mother Esther up." Kirstie giggles.

"Definitely. She might ground me." Avi laughs and then covers his mouth.

Avi slides his key into the lock and quietly opens the door.

Avi softly closes the door behind them. As they turn around they freeze in their tracks as they see his sister sitting on the couch.

His heart stops beating for a second, thinking he was in trouble. He then notices that his sister is sobbing, clutching a pillow to her chest.

"Sister?" Avi asks in a soft voice. "What's wrong?"

He and Kirstie sit down on either side of the crying woman. Avi takes her by the hand and gently squeezes it.

"I'm so stupid, Avi." She says between sobs. "Why do I have to be such an ignorant b*tch?"

"What?" Avi asks. His eyes widening, he had never heard his sister cuss before.

"I made him leave. We got into an argument about you and I told him to leave, that I needed to be alone." Esther cries as she hugs the pillow closer.

"Yall were arguing about me? Why?" Avi asks.

"He confessed to giving you a condom so that yall could have sex. I lost it. I got so angry." Esther cries. "He was just trying to help you guys and I .. I slapped him."

"YOU WHAT?!" Kirstie shouts as she jumps up from the couch. "You hit my brother and kicked him out over a d*mn condom?! Esther. He has nowhere to go!!"

"I'm so sorry." Esther sobs. "Kirstie, I love him so much."

"And this is your way of showing it?" Kirstie asks angrily.

Kirstie grabs for her keys and heads to the door.

"Kirst, where are you going?" Avi asks.

"I'm going to find Tim." Kirstie says.

"I'm going too." Avi says as he stands up.

"You sure you don't need your mother's permission?" Kirstie asks.

"I didn't deserve that." Avi says quietly, shaking his head. "I haven't done anything wrong."

Kirstie sighs and closes her eyes. She realizes that she is taking her anger out on the wrong person.

"No, baby, you didn't and I'm so sorry." Kirstie says as she takes Avi's face in her hands and kisses him softly.

"Can I go with you guys?" Esther asks softly.

"Not if you're going to start some sh*t with him once we find him." Kirstie says sternly.

"No, I have to apologize to him. I was so wrong." Esther says as she wipes her tears. "I have to tell him that I love him. Kirstie, please?"

"Okay." Kirstie nods as her heart softens. "I know you love him, Esther. And I know for a fact that Timmy loves you with all his heart."

"We need to be going." Avi says. "It's getting really late."

"Do you have any idea where he might have gone?" Esther asks as she gets into the back seat.

"There are a few places that I know he usually goes whenever he needs to be alone. We can check those." Kirstie answers as she pulls out of the driveway.

The first place she checked was the cemetery. 

"A cemetery?" Avi asks as he looks out at the tombstones that seemed to glow in the moonlight. "Geez, how creepy is this."

"This is where Jenika is buried." Kirstie says with a slight bit of sadness in her voice. "He used to come here a lot and just talk to her about his day."

"That's so sad." Esther says softly as her eyes scan the graveyard.

Not seeing his truck anywhere they drive on to their next destination.

The next stop was a field with rolling hills. In the middle of the field was a beautiful large oak tree. Kirstie pulls in so that her headlights would shine toward the tree. She gives a heavy sigh when there is no sign of Tim's truck.

"I'm quickly running out of places to look." Kirstie says. "The only other place is a pond that Tim and I used to go fishing at when we were younger."

She turns off the highway onto an old back road.

"Have you thought about calling him?" Avi says through a yawn. "Surely he has his phone with him."

"No, he left it laying on the coffee table." Esther says.

"BINGO!" Kirstie shouts suddenly causing both Esther and Avi to jump.

"What? Where?" Avi says looking out the windshield.

"Right there." Kirstie says as she points.

The headlights once again catch the chrome of Tim's truck parked on the bank of the pond.

"It's so dark out here. It's creepy." Avi says.

Kirstie smiles and rubs him on the back of the head.

"Is he in the truck?" Esther whispers as they get out of the car.

The loud croaks of the bull frogs echoed across the fog covered pond. Giving an, even more, eerie feel.

They walk quietly through the tall grass to reach the truck.

Kirstie peeks through the driver's window. She could clearly see her brother in the truck. His arms were resting on the steering wheel and his head was laying on his arms. He appeared to be asleep.

"He's in there. I think he's asleep." Kirstie whispers, an evil smile creeping across her face.

She clenches her fist and bangs on the window.

"SON OF A B*TCH!" Tim yells as he jumps and looks around at the window. He rubs a hand over his face as he tries to calm his nerves.

"What the hell, Kirst." He growls as he opens the door of the truck.

Esther runs forward throwing her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly.

"I'm so sorry." She says as she breaks down into tears. "Please forgive me."

"Shhh. There's no need in all of that." Tim says softly as he wraps his arms around her.

"Yes, there is." She says looking into his tired eyes. "I was way out of line. You were there for Avi when he needed someone to talk to. And I hit you and told you to leave. I am so, so sorry." She reaches up and gently rubs his bruised cheek. "I love you so much. Please come back home."

"I love you too." Tim says as he softly kisses her.

"You're cold." Esther says as she rubs him on the arms.

"It's, uh, pretty chilly out here and I didn't have a lot of gas in my truck to run it for heat." Tim smiles slightly.

"Do you have enough gas to get home?" Kirstie asks.

"I don't know. Kinda doubt it." Tim says with a shrug. "It's a gas hog."

"We can leave it here and come back after it tomorrow with some gas." Kirstie replies.

"Now that yall have kissed and made up, can we go before something scary comes crawling out of that swamp?" Avi says as he looks around at the darkness surrounding them.
