Chapter 5

(Setsuna's POV)

"Sasuke, i'm at point B"

"Sakura, i'm at point C"

"Naruto and I'm at point A, believe it!"

"Too slow, Naruto. Setsuna?" Kakashi questioned through the ear piece, obviously forgetting my problem with talking. After a short moment he realised and spoke into his mic "Sorry Setsuna, I forgot" Of course, I wouldn't reply as I couldn't. Suddenly, a cat jumped into the clearing I was laying in and jumped over to me. Once close enough, it licked my nose and began playing with my hands.

"What's your distance from the target?" Kakashi questioned, oblivious to the fact that Tora was with me. "5 meters" Was Naruto's serious reply. I could hear the three of them moving in the trees and hiding. I can't believe they havn't noticed me yet to be honest.

"Im ready to" "So am I" Where Sasuke and Sakura's responces. "Ok!...... Now" With that one word, my three teammates jumped out and landed before me. Naruto instantly grabbed Tora with a death grip and the other two sweat dropped. I stood up and watched the scene play out.

After Naruto got scratched by the cat, it jumped into away and straight into my arms, climbing onto my shoulders and just laying there with a cat smile, purring constantly. "Can you verify ribbon on right ear?" Kakashi questioned through the ear piece, still not here. I nodded at Sasuke, who confirmed it straight away.

"Right, lost pet Tora accomplished" Just as Kakashi appeared before us, Naruto shouted loudly into his mic "Can't we get a better mission!! I HATE CATS!!" In an instant, I smashed my own ear piece to the ground and held at my ear in slight pain. Kakashi, noticing this, came over and asked me if I was ok 'Hate loud noises' Was my dull reply.

As soon as Tora's owner left the room, the Hokage began explaining the many other missions available. "For your next mission, we have: Babysitting, help with shopping, digging up potatos-" His bored voice was interupted by Naruto's wining.

"NOO! I wanna go on a real mission" He shouted, crossing one arm over the other in a X position. "Something challanging and exciting, not this little kid stuff" I could tell the others, well.. except Kakashi, thought the same but just didn't bother to speak their minds. "How dare you. Your just a brand new genin with no experience. You start with simple missions to develop your skills and prove yourself" Iruka shouted and I noticed the look The Hokage had as he pulled down his hat to cover his face.. embarrassed?

As Naruto began more shouting, I stepped backwards, away from them as my hearing is above average. Kakashi punched Naruto on the head and told him to shut up before the Hokage went on about the different Ranks. I already knew it so I ignored everything, that was until I heard Hokage himself slam him hands on the table and shout "Are you listening?!"

"You always lecture me but I'm not the little brat who used to play pranks all the time. I'm a ninja now and I want a real mission" It was silent and the Hokage sighed as he turned to face me. "What do you think Setsuna? Should we give him a higher mission" I stared into his eyes and blinked twice 'It is not my decision to make Lord Hokage. Whatever you chose, I will go along with it' He chuckled and gave me a smile before turning back to Naruto. "So be it. I'll give you a C-rank. You'll be bodyguards on a journy"

Sakura and Sasuke looked shocked at first, but then became happy and Naruto literally jumped into the air while fist pumping it. "Who? Who? Are we guarding a princess? or some counciler?" I could see the Hokage smirk as he told us the person we'd be guarding would come in now.

The door slid open slowly and in came an older man with a bottle of Sake. "What the-!" He exclaimed "A bunch of snot nosed kids?" After taking a swig of the bottle, he leant against the door frame, looking all flustered "You, the little one with the idiotic look on your face. Are you even a ninja?" Naruto laughed with his hands on his hips "Who's the one with the idiotic look on his face?" As they all lined up, it was clear as day that Naruto was the shortest and I already knew that I was as tall as Sasuke.

"And you-" He pointed at me. Everyone became quiet to see what he's say "You look so fragile, as if you could be blown away by a gust of wind. Do you expect me to believe your a ninja as well?" I stared blankly at the man and blinked once, twice and a third time before turning away. I heard Sakura mutter under her breath "She doesn't even care when she's insulted" Sasuke hn'd, his way of agreeing with something.

"Anyway, I'm Tazuna a bridge builder and I must return to my country. I expect you to get me there safely" At that moment, my ear picked something up and I instantly knew that this mission wasn't as easy as I thought it'd be.

Walking into my house, I looked around for Sentaro, but he was nowhere to be found. Sighing, I sat down on the bed cross legged and closed my eyes. Once opening them, I stood in a clearing with five figured in front of me. Lee, Neji and TenTen all gasped at my transparent body while Guy was slightly wide-eyed.

Ignoring them, I turned to Sentaro "Why are you here like this Setsuna? Did something happen?" I shook my head - no 'I'm going on a mission outside of the village and will be back in a week or two, I just came to tell you this and say goodbye' He eyes saddened and he brought me into a hug. The good thing about this jutsu is that I can leave my body behind and be touched even though I'm transparent. Another thing is that it's impossible to hurt me this way, although I can still hurt others. It's a good way to battle but it takes a lot of chakra if used too long. However, there is a downside to it; If someones near my body and injures me, I won't know and won't wake up.

"Alright" Sentaro kissed my forehead as he pulled me out at arms length "Be careful and come visit me when you have the time" I nodded before turning to the others and bowing my head. 'Goodbye' The last thing I saw was their shocked faces, except for Sentaro - who was smirking.

Sighing, I stood up from the bed and began packing my things. My kunai holster was now full of kunai and my shoes had hidden blades in them, so If I tap the ground hard enough, they'd appear. I also packed enough bandages, scrolls containing food (apples and dango) and drink containers and extra clothes, as well as my hairbrush and sleep wear.

Pulling closed my front door, locking it in the process, I began making my way towards the village's gate.

Once there, I noticed I was first and decided to sit against the wall. The two guards noticed me and smiled. Kotetsu was the only one to walk over and crowched down right in front of me. "Hey Setsuna. Do you like Konoha so far?" I merely nodded, which seemed to disappoint him as his smile turned upside down - into a frown. "You should smile" I shook my head, causing him to sigh. Just as he was about to talk again, Kakashi came over with Tazuna walking behind him.

Seeing me, Kakashi waved with his usual closed eye smile "Setsuna, your here early" I nodded and stood up, leaning against the wall with my hands clutching at my Shamisen. Soon enough, Sasuke and Sakura appeared with Naruto arriving shortly behind.

"Wow Sensei! Your early for once" He exclaimed. Kakashi merely shighed and getsured for the gate "Lets go, shall we?" With a nod we all began making our way through the gate. However, before fully out of view, Kotetsu shouted out to me with a wave - "See you when you get back Setsuna!"

Once out the gate, Naruto began getting really excited and Sakura.. she just had to question it. "This is the first time i've ever left the village, believe it!" "Hey.." Tazuna began "Am I supposed to trust my life with this runt? He's a joke" Kakashi chuckled. "He's with me and I'm a jonin so there's no need to worry" At this point I was already walking away to make sure the path ahead was safe.

After a moment, when I was almost to far away for the others to see me, I heard Naruto shout "Setsuna-chan! It's not a good idea to walk that far ahead from us" I ignored him and continued down the path, alone, for about half an hour. I glanced down at the path and saw a puddle up ahead, instantly knowing that there were ninja's hiding in it, probably around the chunin level.

"Hey Setsuna-chan, why didn't you wait for us?" Naruto asked loudly as they finally caught up to me. I didn't bother answering though and kept my stare forward as we walking. Just as we passed the puddle, I stomped on it 'accidentally' and made it splash. Sakura raised an eyebrow at me "Why'd you do that Setsuna?" I shrugged.

'You notice yet?' I ask Kakashi alone, who looks around to see if I was speaking to anyone else. He nods slightly, only so I could see and acts as he usual does.. which is being lazy and bored.

"WHAT!?"

We all turn around to find Kakashi being ripped to pieces by chains. Naruto and Sakura call out Kakashi's name while I'm already getting into position. The two enemy ninja's get behind Naruto, but before they could do anything, I appeard in front of them and throw a kunai at the incoming chain, making it attach to a nearby tree.

Sasuke then kicks the two of the away from each other, breaking apart their chains. The both spring back into action straight away and as one of the goes for Naruto, the other goes for Tazuna. Sasuke, with his speed, runa for Sakura and quickly gets in front, while I go for the one after Naruto. Tapping the heel of my shoe on the ground, I jump in front of Naruto and kick the guy in his right thigh, the small blade digging into it. Lucky for him though, his claws cut a deep gash into my forarm.

In the blink of an eye, I swiped my sword from my shamisen and swiped up his chest before doing a backflip and kicking his chin, making him fly into a tree, knocking him unconscious. With a sigh, I turned around, only to comen face to face with stunned teammates and Tazuna. Kakashi had alread caught the guy after the bridge builder and had him in a choke hold.

"Sorry Naruto, I didn't think you'd freeze up like that. Good job Sasuke, very smooth. You too Sakura" I didn't mind that he didn't compliment me and only the others as I walked over to the unconscious ninja and tied him to the same tree he landed on. Kakashi came over as well and tied his unconscious ninja to it as well. "Kakashi-sensei, what about Setsuna? She saved Naruto, why didn't you compliment her?" Said sensei stared at me "Do you want me to compliment you?" I shook my head, but soon felt someone ruffling my hair.

With swift movements, I grabbed Kakashi's hand and tightened my hold on it. 'Don't touch me' Without awaiting his reply, I walked over to Tazune and stared up at him 'You should tell them. It's the least you can do when they're risking their lives for you' His eyes widened as he looked around for the person who said that, only to look down at me with wide-eyed. "How do you-?" I shook my head and turned back to Naruto "Hey! Your not hurt are you? Scardy-cat" Sasuke taunted with a smirk.

As Kakashi and Tazuna talked about who the ninja were after, I sat down on the ground beside said ninja and began examining my wound. "Hehehe" One of them snickered as he watched me from the corner of his eyes "If you don't get help soon, the poisen will slowly kill you" I sighed and took out a scroll from my bag. Biting my thumb, I slid it across the scroll and a roll of bandages appeared as well as a needle.

I could use medical ninjutsu, but that would just waste my chakra, so I decided to fix up the deep cut the hard way.

Sakura, seeing what I was about to do, screeched rather loudly, attaining everyones attention. "Setsuna! You can't possibly be thinking of stitching that back up yourself can you?" I simply nodded and threaded the needle with some simple chakra strings. She shook her head and tried snatching the needle away, but I moved it before she could do so. "Kakashi-sensei, we should go back to the village so Naruto and Setsuna can go to the hospital" I rose an eyebrow before turning to Naruto, seeing a cut on his hand. 'So It hit him as well huh?' I mused to myself as I tied a knot at the end of the chakra string.

As Naruto stabbed his hand with a kunai and started a long speech, I began stitching up my wound. Every time I pierced my skin, I did not wince or show in any way that I was in pain, even though it hurt somewhat. I merely kept a straight face. As I did this, I could feel someones stare on my back, however chose to ignore it and concentrate on the more important tast at hand.

Once it was done, I stood up (bandages in hand) and waltsed over to Sasuke. Tapping him on the shoulder to get his attention, only made him glare at me. Ignoring the mean look, I held out the roll of white material and looked at my now stitched wound. He got the picture and grabbed the bandages from me roughly before wrapping it tightly around my wound.

As he finished, I nodded in appreciation and said 'Thank you, Sasuke' before walked back over to Kakashi. He had also just finished helping Naruto with his hand. "Are you sure you can go on? Did you even get the poisen out?" I nodded my head and he seemed to believe me. To be honest, there was no need to take out the poisen seeing as I am actually immune to them.. never found out how though.

"Alright, lets go"

We all nodded in agreement and continued on our way towards the land of the waves.
