Chapter 3

(Setsuna's POV)

'Sentaro.. are you ready?' I called to my brother as I began opening the front door. "I'll be there in a sec, hold on" Was his reply. I sighed and fiddled with my Shamisen which I carry around at all times. After around half a minute, Sentaro finally steps out from the bedroom with his headband over his right eye and a jonin vest on. I look him over and nod approvingly 'You look good' "Why thank you. So do you Setsuna, as usual"

We begin walking towards the academy, today was the day that we would find out what teams we were on. I wanted to be on the same one as Sentaro because I hate being away from him, but don't know if it's possible. Afterall, it is the hokage's choice, whoever goes on which team.

As soon as we opened the door to our classroom, Sentaro burst out into fits of laughter. I look over to where he was staring at before laughing and see Naruto and Sasuke kissing. I blink once, twice, a third time, before strolling up to the back desk and taking a seat beside the window. Sentaro, still chuckling every now and then, took a seat beside me and held my hand.. as usual. Once Naruto and Sasuke broke apart, Sakura and Ino glared death glares at the blond boy.

From behind, in the corner of the room, I could feel someone watching us. Glancing in said direction out of the corner of my eyes, I said 'I don't like it when people watch me from behind my back' to the Hokage. I knew that it would probably shock him a bit, but I really don't like being watched so closely.

Sighing, I tightened my grip on Sentaro's hand and on my Shamisen.

(Third Person POV - With the Hokage)

As the Hokage and many jonin surrounded the crystal ball showing the newly graduated genin, two new faces made an appearance. The boy, Sentaro, who was a newly appointed Jonin, sat at the back of the room with a younger girl, his sister. Setsuna.

They watched closely as Setsuna turned to look at them slightly. Some of the Jonin gasped in shock, muttering things like - "How can she see us?" - while other stayed silent, even though they were also surprised: just didn't show it. The Hokage was the most shocked out of everyone as he had recieved a message in his mind ''I don't like it when people watch me from behind my back' was what he had heard. The voice he had heard sounded like an echo and didn't really have a certain tone to it.

The Hokage pondered about which team he should place her in, but then came to a decision. "Kakashi, would you mind taking Setsuna?" Said Jonin looked up lazilly and sighed "What about Sentaro?" "He had told me yesterday that it would be best for him and Setsuna to be on different teams. He wants her to learn to be without him" The Hokage thought back to when Sentaro had told him this, he had had a sad glint in his eyes. The Hokage did not pry into their business as he could tell instantly just by the way the siblings act that it was a touchy subject.

"So.. are you ok with this, Kakashi?" Said man nodded, bored, however interested in what his new students would put him through, especially Setsuna - The mute, expressionless child.

(Setsuna's POV)

I listened closly as Iruka began calling the leams out and wondered which group of people I would be placed with. "Team 7.. Naruto Uzumaki-" Naruto perked up with interest and listened intently "-Sakura Haruno-" Sakura frowned whilst Naruto cheered in bliss.. 'does he like her?' I asked Sentaro, who merely shurgged "-Sasuke Uchiha-" This time Sakura cheered and Naruto slumped down "And Setsuna Kanashimi" The three turned around to watch how I would take this. However, I simply blinked and stayed the same as usual.

I turned to Sentaro, who was watching me from the corner of his eyes, frowning "Sorry Setsuna" He whispered "But you have to learn to be without me" After a moment, I nodded 'It's fine. I don't mind'

Once all the squads were called out, Naruto jumped up in protest "Iruka-sensei, why does a great ninja like me have to be with HIM?!" Iruka sighed "Sasuke had one of the best scores out of everyone, while you had the worst. To create a balanced groupe, we put best with the worst" Everyone began laughing at the blond kid, making Iruka clear his throat, grabbing their attention again. "After lunch you'll meet your new sensei. Until then, class dismissed" He walked out with nothing else to say, leaving everyone to do their own things.

As Sasuke began walking out the room, he glared my way. I didn't glare back and merely stared blankly back. Sakura tried following Sasuke, and Naruto wanted to eat lunch with Sakura. I turned to Sentaro with a small tilt of my head 'Sentaro.. was that a love triangle I saw?' He chuckled and gave me a hug "Seems like it, but it'll probably change soon enough" 'What do you mean?' He shook his head and began standing up. Just as he was about to walk away, I tugged on his shirt 'Where are you going?' "I have to go and meet the team I'll be assisting. Don't worry, you have a spare key so I'll meet you at hom" I nodded and watched as he left the room.

'I have to learn how to be by myself?' I mused 'But why? Sentaro hates leaving me on my own and is far to overpretective to let me be with other people, especially adults' Sighing inwardly, I sat and waiting without any lunch, for break to end.

As I was staring out the window, I felt someone, or some people, approaching me. I turned my head to look at them and saw Shikamaru, Choji and the blond girl (which I now know the name of - Ino) I glanced at them blankly and tilted my head to the right as if asking what they wanted.

Ino huffed and looked the other way with her arms crossed over her chest as Shikamaru spoke "Wanna eat with us?" I wondered if I should talk to him or not, soon coming to the conclusion that I would 'Don't have food' I sent to his mind. Shikamaru flinched slightly once hearing my voice, which sounded nothing like a normal voice and more like a passing gust of wind, echoing everywhere.

He looked down at me with wide eyes and said "Was that you?" I merely nodded, not wanting to speek again. "Are you hungry?" I shook my head - no "Why won't you just talk you freak?!" Ino suddenly hollered at me, slamming her hands down on the table.

I didn't move and shifted my line of sight from Shikamaru to her. She glared at me angrilly, however I simply ignored her and turned back to Nara 'You should eat, I don't mind staying here' I could see something flash through his eyes, was it pity? or sorrow? I was confused as to why he looked at me like that but decided to ask Sentaro about it later on.

"I guess" Shikamaru finally spoke "Lets hang out sometime later" I didn't answer and he took that as a sign to leave. Choji merely kept crunching on his chips the whole time and waved as they walked away, same as Shikamaru, but Ino simply kept on glaring at me from the corner of her eyes.

"Urgh! He's late"

Naruto began peaking his head out the door, searching for out new sensei, whilst Sakura sighed in frustration "Naruto, just sit down" She ordered. "I don't wanna. How come our teachers the only one that late? I'm ready to role, believe it! The other groups already met their sensei's and took off on some adventure and Iruka-sensei gone to" He ranted.

I sighed inwardly and stared out the window, watching the birds fly by, chirping. Seeing little kids run past the academy, sometimes staring at the large red building before their eyes in awe. I was so dazed out that when I looked around, Naruto had placed a board erasor on top of the door. A hand then gripped the door and slid it open, letting the dirt erasor hit his head.

It was silent for a moment, before Naruto burst out laughing "Hahaha, I got him, he totally fell for it Hahaha" "I'm sorry sensei. I told him not to do it but he wouldn't listen" Sakura stated innocently, even though I could tell she loved every second of what just happened. Sasuke merely 'Humphed' and looked the other way.

The Jonin stepped fully inside and picked up the board erasor. "Hm.. how can I put this" He pondered to himself, holding his chin and looking up "My first impression of this group.. Your a bunch of idiots" Naruto, Sakura and even Sasuke hung their heads with sweat drops, but I merely stared expressionless as normal.

He looked us each over and once landed his sights on me, he smiled. I didnt't return the kind gesture, merely blinking. "Anyway, lets go to the roof shall we?" With that said, he poofed away. As my new teammates began walking up to the top, I followed doing the same as the jonin and teleported there. He jumped slightly when I appeared right next to him, but didn't say anything.

Once the others were here, Naruto looked at me wide-eyed "How'd you get here so fast?" *Blink.. Blink* He 'err'd' and shrugged it off as the three of the sat on the steps. I simply stood up straight away from them all slightly, feeling more comfortable this way.

"Alright. Why don't you introduce yourselves" He suggested. "What are we supposed to say?" Sakura was the one to ask this time "Things you like, things you hate, hobbies and dreams for the future" "Why don't you tell us about yourself first. I mean, you do look kind of suspicious" Naruto stated in a matter-o-fact tone. "Me? I'm Kakashi Hatake. Things I like.. Things I hate.. I don't feel like telling you that. My dreams for the future.. never really thought about it and Hobbies.. I have lots of hobbies"

Sakura and Naruto looked at each other with sweat drops "That was useless, all he really told us was his name" "Uhuh" Naruto agreed with a nod of his head. "Ok" Kakashi said, breaking them out of their mini convosation "You on the right. Your turn" Naruto grinned "I'm Naruto Uzumaki, I like instant ramen and hate the 3 minute waiting time. My hobbies is eating different kinds of ramen and comparing them and my future dream is.. to be the greatest Hokage, then the whole village will stop disrespecting me" Kakshi's one viewable eye widened for a second at that and I could just tell what he was thinking.

"Alright! Next" He turned his gaze towards Sakura, who began fidgeting "I'm Sakura Haruno. What I like er.. I mean the person I like" *Peaks at Sasuke* "Er.. my hobby is.." *Peaks at Sasuke again* "My dream for the futur is.." *Squeals* Kakashi stared at her borely "And.. what do you hate?" "Naruto!" She almost instantly shouted.

"Next" We all looked at Sasuke who had hid elbows on his knees and finger crossed together "My name Is Sasuke Uchiha. I hate a lot of things and don't like much. What I have is not a dream because I will make it a reality. I'm going to restore my clan and kill a certain someone" The air around him grew dark and it was silent before Kakashi turned to me.

"Lastly.." Everyone's gave was right towards me now, but I merely blinked and looked back with no facial expression and normal dull eyes. I then turned to Kakashi 'Setsuna Kanashimi. Like darkness, Shamisen and Sentaro. Hate noisey people and anyone other than Sentaro. Hobbies.. Shamisen and my dream is to make Sentaro happy' His eye widened and he touched his head in surprise.

Naruto was looking between us with a confused look, so was Sakura and Sasuke just looked slightly curious. Kakashi coughed and gave me a short nod before speaking again "Good, your each unique and you have your own ideas. We'll have our first mission tomorrow" Naruto perked up at the 'mission' part "What kind of mission sensei?"

I didn't listen to much else as I was trying to connect to Sentaro's thoughts. 'Sentaro' He didn't reply for a moment, but did eventually 'Setsuna? What's wrong?' '..Nothing.. where are you?' 'In the training ground with team guy, meet up with me in half an hour. You can follow my chakra presence right?' 'Yes' Our conversation ended after that and I glanced around to see the others all freaked out.

"Be at the designated training ground at 5am and bring your ninja gear" Naruto, Sakura and even Sasuke were shaking, although Sasuke only barely. "That's it, your dismissed. Oh and tomorrow, don't eat breakfast, or you'll puke" With that said and done, Kakashi disappeared, however not before sending a look my way.

I also stood up and walked over to the railings. Turning around, Sasuke was leaving with Sakura trying to get him to go on a date with her and Naruto offering to go instead once she was rejected. It seems as though they did not notice I was still here. I sighed, catching their attention, even though it was almost silent.

A grin spread across Naruto face as he ran at me "Do you want to go get ramen with me Setsuna-chan?" I blinked once, meeting his gaze dully and turned around to leave. Without another look back, I jumped over the railings and landed soundlessly on the ground.

I began walking, making my way towards where I could feel Sentaro's chakra.

Once making it to a clearing, I noticed more than one figure off in the close distance. One for sure was Sentaro, but the other four were people I'd never met before.

Noticing that I was approaching, Sentaro turned around with a smile and engulfed me into a hug. I still wasn't used to hugs so I stiffly placed my arms around his back and patted it softly. He let go and placed a soft kiss to my forehead "Where you ok alone Setsuna?" I nodded and looked around brother to see who the other people were.

Sentaro stepped to the side revealing a girl with two buns on the side of her head, a boy with a bowl cut hairstyle and large eyebrows, another boy with long dark brown hair and Hyuga eyes and lastly a jonin who looked exactly like the younger boy clad in green, except older.

The Jonine, once seeing me, grinned "Oh my! What youth! Who is this Sentaro?" Said boy took my hand in his and walked towards the group. "This is my sister, Setsuna. Setsuna this is the team I'm helping out" He pointed to the girl "This is TenTen" Then pointed to the green boy "This is Rock Lee" Then to the Hyuga "Neji Hyuga.. and finally, the sensei - Might Guy" I nodded in acknoledgement of their existance.

'I'm going to go home Sentaro. I have to get up early tomorrow morning' He nodded "Ok, just be careful and if you wake up before me, make sure you leave a note. Also take your key with you" I gave a short nod to him and bowed to his new group before making my way back through the streets.

As I left, I heard them talk "She's..." "I know.." Was Sentaro's reply
