Chapter 2

(Sentaro's POV)

*Beep!* *Beep!* *Beep!*

I groaned and slammed the snooze button on the alarm clock. Setsuna was still asleep and I couldn't help but smile at how peaceful she looks like this. I removed Setsuna's arms from around me so I could get out of bed and get changed so I was ready for my test today. Grabbing my clothes, I set them down on the back of the bed and walked over to the bathroom to take a shower.

I sighed in bliss as the hot water ran down my stiff limbs, the first time in a week since we've had a warm shower. Normally, Setsuna and I would bath seperatly in a lake. One I finished shampooing my hair and washing it out, I turned of the tap and got out, wrapping a towel around my waist. When I walked out into the bedroom, I rolled my eyes. Setsuna was sitting up on the bed, still asleep.

I walked over to my clothes and put them on once I dried off. The time was 7am and Setsuna had to go to the academy for the exams today. I forgot to tell her that my test was at the same time when the academy starts, so I don't know how she'll take the news of being alone with a bunch of students she barely knows.

"Setsuna" I said as I shook her shoulders. "Wake up. You have to get ready" Her eyes fluttered open and she stared up at my with half closed eye lids. I chuckled and picked her up from under her arms, placing her softly on her feet. 'Good morning Sentaro' she greeted in her normal tone. "Morning Setsuna. Sleep well?" She nodded and walking into the bathroom, forgetting her clothes.

I shook my head and gave a chuckle before taking out an extra pair of her clothes, placing them down neatly on the bed. After a few minutes, Setsuna comes back out the bathroom with a towel around her small figure and hair soaking wet, sticking to her cheeks. She nods at me in thanks for taking out her clothes.

Just as she was about to get changed, I walked over to the kitchen calling "I'm gonna make us some breakfast. Come get some when you've changed Setsu!" 'Alright' She answered back. That's the awesome thing about that jutsu. She can talk to anyone she pleases and any amount of people at the same time, although there is a limit to how far you can be.

When I'd finished making toast (A/N Don't know if they make that in Naruto, but meh, right? xD) and poured the both of us a glass of milk, Setsuna came out in her dark blue kimono with long sleeves which stretch all the way past her fingertips. In her thin arms is her Shamisen with a hidden blade. I've only even seen her use the blade once, but it is very thin and light.

'Thank you Sentaro' She says as she sits opposite me at out small table. I smile and gave a small nod of my head "Setsuna.. I won't be able to stay with you in the academy today" I state slowly, worried about her reply.

She stops eating and placed the piece of toast back on the plate, instead, picking up the glass of milk and taking a short sip. Everything she does is graceful and makes her look like a fragile doll which could break at any moment. However I knew that she was strong and not as innocent as she looks.

'It's fine Sentaro' She finally replies, snapping me out of my thoughts 'Are you going to take that test to find out what level their going to put you as?' I nodded "I'll walk you to the academy, but then I'll have to leave. Sorry" 'Like I said. It's fine, so don't worry about me. I can take care of myself' She said, shaking her head slightly. I smiled in thanks and the conversation ended there as we both continued eating breakfast.

One we were finished, Setsuna washed the plates and glasses and dried them before placing them back in the cupboards. I grabbed our kunai holsters, wrapped one on my right thigh and handed the other to Setsuna who put it on the same place.

We nodded to each other, walked out of out home and down the busy streets of Konoha, although not before locking the door on our way out. As we passed an old lady, she stumbled and fell to her knees. Setsuna, being the more polite one, instantly went over to her and helped her up "Thank you" The lady said once she was back on her feet and bags now back in hand.

Just as Setsuna was about to walk away, the lady tugged on her arm and held out a beautiful gold chain necklace with a blue Sapphire jewel on it. Setsuna tilted her head and the lady looked surprised 'She's speaking to her huh?' I thought to myself. "Just take it as my appreciation for helping me up. Please.." Setsuna nodded and began walking away again.

As I was about to follow, the lady stopped me with a frown "Poor girl, the pain in her eyes.." I nodded "Thank you for giving her such a pretty necklace Oba-san" "It's fine, but I must be on my way now. Take good care of her" She winked, making me raise an eyebrow in question, and walked away with a skip in her step. I shook my head, muttering - "Silly old ladies"

"Setsuna" I started as we approached the classroom 'Nani?' "Want me to help you put your necklace on?" She nodded after what seemed to be a moment of thinking and handed me the necklace. I took it from her gingerly and unclasped the back. "Turn around" I ordered with a twirl of my finger, in which she complied to.

I pulled it around her neck and clipped the back up again before pulling out her hair and gently letting it fall down her back. She turned around to look at me and nodded in thanks. "I have to go now, but I'll meet you outside once graduation exams end" 'Good luck' She kissed me on the cheek and watched as I left the building.

(Setsuna's POV)

I glanced down at the necklace around my neck and squeezed it tightly, letting out a small sigh. With one swing, the door slid open and I strolled gracefully inside. Some of the other students watched as I entered the room, while others were to concentrated on their on conversations.

Iruka smiled and walked over to me. Kneeling down until he was at about my height, he said "I heard Sentaro is taking a test today as well. Did you wish him luck" I merely nodded, not trusting him enough yet to actually talk mind to mind.

Iruka's smile disappeared and a frown appeared instead. He reached out a hand to ruffle my hair, but I shook my head - no. I never really liked people touching me other than Sentaro and don't think I will for a while longer. Iruka put his hand back to his side, and sighed a deep sigh before smiling slightly at me again "Today, where do you want to sit?" I didn't see the point in actually asking as I wouldn't respond. Realising this, Iruka stood up straight and looked around for any empty seats.

"Hm.. Why don't you take a seat beside Sasuke" I shifted my gaze towards the boy with raven black hair and a tint of blue. Nodding a curt nod, I silently walked over to my new seat, my eyes dull and face expressionless as if I were a porcelain doll.

The girls around the room began glaring at me, irk marks on their heads and the veins in their necks becoming clearer. I inwardly shook my head and sat down in the seat, not once sparing Sasuke a glance. I could feel Sasuke's stare on me but ignored it and continued facing front. Suddenly, the door busted open and in came a blonde haired boy - Naruto.

He bounced his way through the room with a big grin plastered all over his face. Once he stopped at the desk Sasuke and I were currently sitting at, he shouted "Hey! I'm Naruto Uzumaki and I'm going to be the next Hokage! What's your name?!!" I stared with a stoic face for a second or two before staring at the front again. That seemed to get him angry as he grew an irk mark "Don't ignore me!" Still.. I didn't do anything, merely stared at Iruka, awaiting for him to start.

With a huff, Naruto sat down beside me and placed his head on his arms, also awaiting what kind of test we would be doing.

"Alright! We will now start the final exam. When your name is called, proceed to the testing room. The final test will be on.. the clone jutsu" I could feel Naruto tense up and knew instantly that it was one of his worst jutsu's.

"First.. Shino Aburame" A child stood up with a high collared jacket and small round black galled, following Iruka out of the room. Iruka stopped, however, to tell us - "Be good while you wait" and with that said and done, he left us all alone. A bunch of kids who don't know the meaning of 'peace and quiet' other than Sasuke, myself, sleepy boy and the Hyuga girl.

Footsteps approached and I turned my head to see the two girls from yesterday. I stared at the two, waiting until they were right in front of me. The both stopped right behind Naruto and glared with full hatred. "Move! I'm supposed to sit next to Sasuke" Pinky ordered. I didn't flinch one bit, nor move for that matter. What could two fan-girls do to me? Nothing..

Blondie became irritated and went in for a punch, when the door slammed open and in came Shino "Choji" He said and sat back down. I noticed the headband around his head and gave a nod in his direction when his gaze shifted towards mine. He simply nodded in return and sat down, quietly facing the front.

"Urgh! Now, what was I saying.." Pinky pondered before soon enough coming to a conclusion "That's right! Stay away from MY Sasuke!" This seemed to anger the blond girl, as well as many other girls around the class. "What do you mean, 'MY Sasuke?' He mine!" She shouted. Soon enough, every single girl except myself and the Hyuga began fighting over Sasuke. Naruto turned to me and glanced down at the large wooden, three-stringed instrument in my arms "What is that?" I blinked and looked away, not answering back, waited patiently for my turn to come.

"Setsuna!" A boy named Kiba shouted as he came back in with a headband. I stood up slowly, yet gracefully from my seat and began making my way down to the front. Kiba smiled as he passed by me, while I simply nodded, eyes at front.

Once I was in the testing room, Iruka greeted me with a smile "Setsuna" I nodded and looked at the man beside him. He had white long hair until just above his shoulders and wore an extremely face smile. "Oh! This is Mizuki. Now, you just have to make 3 clones" Nodding to him, I placed my hands in the hand sign and created three clones. Iruka nodded with a wide smile "Perfect" I walked over to them and picked up the only black headband, tying it loosely around my neck.

I bowed and made my way to the door "Oh! Can you tell Shikamaru Nara that it's his turn?" I stared at him for a moment with a 'who?' Look and he chuckled nervously, scratching at the back of his neck. "Sorry, I forgot. He the lazy one who always sleeps" With that said, I began making my way back to the other room. Once inside, the girls glared at me once again, this time worse.

Looking around the room, I found Shikamaru sitting at the desk just in front of the one I'd previously sat at. I strolled slowly over to him with an expressionless face and still all to normal dull eyes. As I stopped in front of him, I noticed he was still asleep and sighed inwardly. Most people were looking at me, seeing what I was gonna do. Turning my gaze to Naruto, I stared.

He must not have understood what I wanted him to do as he tilted his head in confusion. Sasuke, on the other hand, did understand and rolled his eyes as the blonde fool. "She wants you to wake him up, Baka" "What was that? Teme!" Naruto then blinked and turned back to me with a sheepish grin, to which I kept my normal stoic expression. "Hehe" He chuckled "Sorry" I nod once and step to the side as he walks over.

Once in front of Shikamaru, he shakes said boys shoulders and shouts "Hey Shikamaru! It's your turn now!" The sleepy boy slowly awoke and yawned. "What a drag" He mumbled under his breath, before nodding and standing up. However, as he noticed me there, he stopped. "Hey! Are you listening? It's your turn Shikamaru!" Naruto stated with an irk mark forming. "Right" as he walked out the class, we shared a nod.

Slowly, Naruto turned back to me and grinned. "You passed, that's great. Was it difficult?" I blinked once, twice before turning and walking away. I could feel many stares on my back as I slid open the door and started making my way outside. As soon as I got out, I came face to face with the one and only person I really trust. Sentaro.

He noticed me and rushed over, pulling me into a tight hug. I stiffly patted his back once, meaning for him to let go, which he did do.. eventually. "How'd it go?" He asked, serious now. I merely pointed to the headband around my neck and he nodded with a smile. 'How about you?' It was my turn to find out how his test went.

"Well, I had to fight against two different jonin. One, was a man named Hiashi Hyuga and the second was a man named Might Guy. They were difficult and strong but in the end, I won against Hiashi and tied with Guy" I nodded for him to continue as he took a breath "Then, I had have an interrogation with a man named Ibiki Morino. I had to keep him out of my mind and try to invade his own, which I succeeded in. In the end, I was announced a jonin and will assist a team" 'I'm happy for you Sentaro' I said with a straight face.

He sweat dropped and placed his hands on my shoulders "Setsuna.. when your happy, you have to smile" I stared at him with the usual blank face, right until he gave up and took my small covered hand in his. "Come on, lets go and get some dango" I nodded and we began making our way down the street.
