Peppy has a talk with Branch about his relationship with Poppy... Takes place after TBT... 

It was turning into evening, and Branch had just finished playing with Kismet as they were working on new songs, and he was had made it home and couldn't wait for Poppy to stop by for their time together.

He heard the lift. 'Poppy must have come early.' He thought.

His heart dropped when he saw the former king Peppy.

''Branch my boy.'' The former king greeted Branch.

Branch smiles and walked over toward Peppy. ''Hello Peppy did you need something?''

''Yes, I was hoping to catch you, do you have a minute?'' 

''Yes, sure come in.'' He replied as Peppy followed him.

''Well then, I won't keep you too long, but I would like to talk to you about Poppy.'' Peppy replied looking at Branch.

''Sure, is she ok?'' He asked as they made it to the living rom.

''Yes, she fine so far.'' Peppy replied as Branch motioned for him to sit down on the chair.

''So, what is this about?'' Asked Branch as he sat down as well.

''Well since you and Poppy are now dating. I want to know what you have in mind for you and Poppy in the future.'' Peppy answered simply.

''Well, I intend to date her for a couple years or so and see where we are at.'' He replied feeling himself sweat a bit.

''I see but is that it? Only dating? What about getting married?'' Asked Peppy concerned about that.

''I don't know if we will get married... I mean I want to but on the day of Bridget and Gristle's wedding I was so caught up in love that I said let's go get married and she stopped me and looked at me and I corrected myself and she said it would be weird if we got married. So I don't know.'' Branch sighed.

Peppy nodded. ''Poppy is like that. She doesn't usually plan for the future she just lives in the moment. But I'm positive she'll want to marry you eventually besides you two are only a couple of months into dating.'' Peppy noted.

''Yes, we are, your right I-I just I love Poppy, and I can't imagine a life without her.'' Branch replied.

''You know back when I was dating my wife Joy, she kind of said the same thing. We were in love, and I knew she was the one and later on after a year of dating I casually brought up getting married and she turned it down and laughed at it. So then at the end of every month I would set up a date for me and her and then I would casually ask her if she wanted to get married. I would just ask her at the end of the night and when she said no, I would drop it and not bring it up until the end of the next month.'' Peppy replied.

''So, what happened?'' Asked Branch who knew they ended up married but wanted to hear the rest of it.

''Well, I continued asking her and finally on our second anniversary I didn't say anything, and she looked at me and asked if I had something to say. I pretended to be confused then I said Well you always say no so what makes me think this will be any different?'' Peppy smiled going down memory lane.

Branch was on the edge of his seat.

''She looked at me and said Maybe I will give a different answer. So, I asked her to marry me, and she said yes! Of course, we waited another year before we got married. It was tough and yes it hurt a bit when she said no but I continued I wanted to show her I respected her answer but was going to ask it anyway. If Poppy is anything like her mom, she will come around.'' Peppy replied.

''And I know dating Poppy means I will be king which is a big step, but I don't know, I see a life with Poppy but I'm not sure I'll make a good king, the trolls don't all like me.'' He confessed.

Peppy stared at Branch and leaned forward looking at Branch.

''And that is why you will be a great king. I've seen the way you are with the trolls, you put them first and you also but Poppy first, you've saved her and the love you two have for each other.'' Peppy replied.

''You think?'' Asked Branch.

''Yes, any troll who says they won't make a good king means that they take it seriously and it's a big thing which is what I'm looking for in you as a suitor for my daughter and not just using her. plus, you call her out and question her which none of the other trolls tried to do.'' He replied.

Branch was shocked. ''Woah, I guess I didn't know it was that big of a deal.''

''It is, and I approve of you being with Poppy, not that what I think would matter to Poppy. But I had to check for myself. And I will be doing the same thing to your brother Clay.'' Peppy said as he stood up same as Branch and they shook hands.

''Thank you Peppy.'' Branch replied.

''You've grown a lot Branch and I can't wait to call you, my son-in-law. Oh, and one more thing.'' Peppy said walking to the lift.

''Yes?'' Asked Branch.

''I know you two are young and in love and I'm very well aware of what happens with couples who are in love just now you hurt Poppy or knock her up before you guys are married, you'd better run. You're not the only one who knows where to hide a body.'' Peppy replied face to face with Branch who gulped and backed up.

''Got it.'' He was shaking a bit and Peppy turned and went to the lift acting as nothing happened.

Shortly he heard the lift again and saw Poppy.

''Branch!'' She squealed as she hugged him, and he held her.

''Hey beautiful.'' He kisses her.

They spend the evening together.
