La Breeze Bruce's only daughter is feeling left out and void of her dad's love and attention, but a certain troll helps her with it.

It was a beautiful sunny day, and La Breeze was in school, and a play was coming up.

''Alright class you all have worked so hard and here are your parts. ''La Breeze you will be playing the main character Lola as she learns to surf and falls in love with the popular handsome Ryan played by Flint!'' The teacher said happily.

La Breeze blushes, she actually had a crush on him they were both in 8th grade, but she was excited to get the part she always wanted now she just had to study.

She ran home with her brothers, and they were all going in and placing their book bags in their room and ran outside to or to the pool. La Breeze came in and ran up to her mom. ''Hey mom! Guess what happened?!'' She said excitedly.

''Hey sweetie, what happened?'' She asked as she was cleaning up the bar counter.

''I signed up to be in a play and I got the main female character!'' She shouted.

''Oh, baby that's wonderful, I'm of proud of you!'' Brandi hugs La Breeze and gets back to work.

After she placed her book bag down in her room she ran out and over to her dad Spruce A.K.A Bruce as he was taking orders and making sure the customers were happy.

''Daddy daddy!'' She called.

''Hey kid what's up?'' Asked Spruce.

''Guess what I got a part in a play.'' She said excitedly.

''DAD! DAD! DAD! HELP I'M STUCK!'' One of his sons called rolling in a ketchup bottle.

''I'm coming! Bruce Jr. are you ok?'' He asked forgetting about his daughter and helping his sons.

La Breeze sighed and turned to go to do her homework. This was a common thing, anytime she had something important to say or tell her dad something would always come up and he had to take care of it.

She loved her dad a lot, but he hardly spent time with her. When he did it was mostly because Brandi got him to go spend time with La Breeze. The young girl could count on her fingers how many times her dad actually came to spend time with her. He was always busy with the boys because they did something that got his and her mom's attention.

This happened for a couple weeks and one Saturday morning the restaurant was closed in the morning, so the family had time to spend together.

''So, how is everyone doing?'' Asked Bruce as he made breakfast.

''Good! I got an A in school!'' One shouted.

''I was spinning on my head and thew up everywhere!'' Another one said.

''Thats great guys.'' Bruce said and looked at his daughter. ''La Breeze, how is school going?'' He asked.

''Fine dad.'' She said in an annoyed tone as she ate her breakfast.

''So, how is that play going?'' Asked Brandi looking at her daughter.

''Fine thanks.'' La Breeze said.

''A play? Oh, the one you mentioned, didn't you say you got a part honey?'' Asked Bruce.

''Yeah, dad I got a part.'' She sighed.

''That's great! What part is it?'' He asked.

''The main female character.'' She said.

''Awesome, later this evening if you want, we can practice your lines.'' Bruce said.

She had finished eating. ''Sure, dad let's do that if you don't forget again.'' She muttered and left.

Bruce watched her leave and looked at Brandi. ''What's with her?''

''She just wanting your attention is all.'' Brandi said.

''Well, I gave it to her.'' He said.

Later that evening Bruce knocked on La Breeze's door. ''Hey honey! I thought we could go over your lines.'' He said knocking as he came in.

''That's ok daddy, I got my friends over they are helping me.'' She said as a couple girls were with her.

''Ok, then enjoy.'' He winked and left.

The next day the caterbus came to Vacy Island as Branch and Poppy got out. ''What a wild ride.'' Branch said.

''No kidding.'' Poppy said as they went in and saw Bruce and Brandi working.

''Hey Bitty B and Poppy Seed!'' Bruce called.

They went over. ''Hey Bruce, how's work?'' Asked Branch.

''Great.'' He said.

La Breeze came over to her dad. ''Daddy, I need help with this!'' She asked.

''Ok honey I'll help you in a little bit.'' Bruce said looking at the paper she had and went to take care of a few things.

La Breeze shook her head and ran outside. Poppy saw this and decided to follow her and saw her sitting a way away from the bar and playing in the sand.

''Hey La Breeze, is it?'' Asked Poppy.

''Hi aunt Poppy, what do you want?'' She asked.

''Are you ok? I saw you took out of there pretty fast.'' Poppy noted.

''It's just my dad. See he has all these boys and hardly pays any attention to me. I try to tell him something or show him something and he completely forgets it. The only reason he spends anytime with me is because mom makes him or he does it out of guilt and I just want him to spend time with me because he wants to, and nobody has to tell him.'' La Breeze sighed.

''I know the feeling.'' Poppy said sitting with her toes in the sand.

''Oh? How you got friends and uncle Branch.'' She said.

''Yes, but you forget my dad was king of the pop trolls, and I was his only daughter. Sure, I wanted his attention and he tried to be there, but it was hard for him, because he had trolls to take care, meetings to go to, plans and all kinds of things and he did the best he could and would try to spend time with me even if it was teaching me how to be a queen. Do I wish I had more time with him outside of learning to be a queen? Yes, but he has a job but when he did spend time with me, I enjoyed every moment of it.'' Poppy said.

''Yeah, well I got picked to be a main character in a play and well dad didn't seem interested in it, not to mention the boy playing the main male character is my crush, Flint.'' La Breeze said blushing.

''Oh, a boy huh? Well, I bet if you tell your dad he will definitely pay more attention to you.'' Poppy teased.

''You think? I don't know he never listens to me.'' She said.

''I'm sure he does.'' Poppy said as she got up and went to find Spruce.

Poppy found him taking orders and talking to Branch as she marches over.

''Bruce, we need to talk right now! Branch take over for him.'' Poppy demanded pulling Bruce by his necklace as they go into one of the back rooms and she shuts the door.

Branch looked over at Brandi who gave a small smile.

''What was that about?'' Asked Branch.

''I think Poppy is about to explain something important to Bruce.'' Brandi said hoping Poppy might get through to him.

''Poppy, I don't think that very professional and besides I'm married and your engaged.'' Bruce teased.

''What! No stop we need to talk about your daughter.'' Poppy replied seriously.

''What about Breezy?'' He asked using her nickname.

''Why do you spend time with her?'' Asked Poppy who had her arms folded.

''Because she my daughter and I love spending time with her.'' He said not quite sure where this was going.

''You spend time with her because you want to, or you feel you have to, so she doesn't get feel left out?'' Asked Poppy.

Bruce raised his eyebrow. ''She is my daughter; my only daughter and she needs love and support and give that to her.''

''Really? Because for some reason she thinks your only spending time with her because you feel guilty about being with your sons more then her, and when she tries to talk the boys come in doing something, then you forget about her and take care of them.'' Poppy pointed out.

Bruce sighed and nodded. Poppy was right he did tend to put her off not on purpose. ''Yeah, I have to admit I do that. But I'm not intentionally trying to ignore her.''

''Look Bruce, I know you get busy with work and the other kids, but La Breeze needs your attention more then ever. My dad was the king and I so I know how it feels to want to be dad's center of attention and I understand what you're going through being a queen I get busy. She got a boy she's crushing on who is going to be the main lead in the play.'' Poppy said.

Bruce looked up. ''Oh no not on my watch, she is too young.'' He said freaking out.

''Here's the deal, you go spend time with your daughter me and Branch will cover for you.'' Poppy suggested.

''Well alright.'' He said as he walked out with Poppy and to the beach where his daughter was still sitting.

''Hey.'' Bruce said.

''Hi dad.'' She answered.

''I just want to say that I'm sorry if I made it feel like I was ignoring you. It wasn't my intention to do that.'' Bruce said.

''Oh, I see so Poppy did talk to you.'' She sighed.

''She told me I was on the edge of being a dad who is going to miss out about my daughter's life.'' He said.

''Well, she said that I need to take every moment with you I can, because even a little is better then nothing.'' La Breeze answered.

Bruce patted her back hugging her. ''I love you honey and I'm always going to be there for you. So, you got the lead role in this school play huh?'' He smiled.

''Yeah, I'm the female lead and Flint is the male lead of this play and I'm super excited to be in the play but a bit nervous.'' La Breeze smiled.

''So, wait, why are you nervous? Does it have anything to do with that boy does it?'' He asked looking at her with a playfully smirk.

''Kind of... I mean I do have a crush on him.'' She giggles.

''Oh no, your way too young have a boyfriend and besides he got to get my approval before even trying to date or kiss you.'' Bruce said.

''Oh? How would you know? You going to go to school and keep an eye on me?'' She asked nuzzling her dad.

''No, but I am going to do a full check up on you and I plan on spending more time with my little girl not because I have to but because I want to. So how about we spend some time every night before you go to bed talking and catching up.'' He said.

''You mean it daddy?'' She asked.

''Yes, my dear, so what should we do?'' He asked.

''Shouldn't you be working?'' Asked La Breeze.

''Well yeah but your aunt Poppy and uncle Branch are helping out so we can spend some time together.'' Bruce said.

''Great! Can you help me with my lines?'' She asked.

''Of course, baby girl.'' He smiles and kisses her cheek as she pulls out the paper and they work on it.
