Today's the day! You woke up early this morning in order to get your boyfriend the perfect gift. You see, one year ago today, Laxus Dreyar asked you to be his girlfriend which you gladly accepted. You two have created so many memories together in that one year time span. You've grown to love Laxus. In fact, you're quite positive that you're in love with him. No, not positive; you're CERTAIN that you're in love with him.

Even though Laxus has been in love with you the entire time, you never used him or took advantage of his feelings. You didn't lead him on either. Before you started dating Laxus, you had always thought he was handsome. He had large muscles, a bad boy attitude, and he was an extremely powerful mage which was a turn-on for you since you are a fellow S-Class wizard. During the course of the relationship, you got to see Laxus's shy and sensitive side which he only shows in front of you. That's what made you start to develop deep feelings for him.

Thinking back on your time with Laxus, you know that you've never told him that you love him. That's because you've been waiting for this day. Today is the day that you'll tell him that you love him. Today's the special day!

You left your house at eight this morning to go to the store to buy Laxus's gift. You would've bought it ahead of time instead of last minute, but up until now the price was too high. The store was having a sale today which would make the gift affordable for you. What a coincidence, you lucky girl!

The store opens at nine, but you, the smart person you are, know that there'll be a giant crowd of people so you leave early. Just as you thought, there was a large crowd of people. When you arrive, there's a small crowd of people in front of the door. You sighed in relief, having gotten there before there was a huge crowd. As soon as those doors open, everyone is the enemy!

You stood behind the small crowd, planning to shove people out of your way once the store opens. When you wanted something, you had no intention of letting it slip through your fingers. In this case, you wanted a coat. That was Laxus's gift. You know Laxus loves his coat so you decided to buy him a new fur coat. This fur coat was also the only coat left in stock and the next shipment wouldn't be for another month. This is your only chance and nobody is getting in your way; not if they want to live to talk about it!

By 8:50, there was a massive herd of people and you did your best to stay towards the front. You were solely concentrated on your mission to buy the fur coat. When the store opened, people immediately began pushing and shoving. You, being a mage, had a lot more physical strength than the ordinary people who were shopping. It was easy for you to shove your way through the crowd.

Once inside, you spotted the fur coat and immediately went in that direction. Excitement and victory filled your body as you grabbed the sleeve of the coat. However, when you went to pick it up, there was something holding you back. You looked across from you and you saw a guy holding the other sleeve to the coat. He cocked his head to the side as he looked at you. "What's a pretty little lady like you doing here? These sales can get pretty deadly, you know." He smirked as he tugged lightly at the coat. You hid your anger behind a nice smile, not wanting to cause a scene. "I'm well aware of that and if you don't let go of this coat, you'll be walking out of this store without one of your arms." You continued to smile as he quickly let go of the sleeve.

Having the coat all to yourself now, you went to the register. You paid the clerk the required amount of jewels and left the store doing a happy dance, not caring if people were watching. You walked to the guild so you could give the coat to Laxus. Looking at Magnolia's clock tower, you saw it was noon. I spent three hours in that store!?!

The guild was as loud as ever; Natsu and Gajeel were fighting, Gray was running around avoiding Juvia, and Elfman had Jet and Droy in headlocks. "Hey, Mira." You greeted her as you approached the bar. "Hi, [Name]!" She replied.

"What's in the bag?" Erza, who was sitting at the bar eating cake, asked while eyeing the bag in your hands. You don't know what came over you, but you felt your cheeks heat up. Maybe it was because you had finally realized that you were in love. Mira and Erza also noticed you blushing. "Is it for Laxus?" They asked in unison. Too embarrassed to speak, you nodded. "I-Is he here?" You mumbled. Mira gave you a sympathetic look which told you the answer. "Sorry, [Name]. He hasn't come in today." She said.

You were a little thrown off as to why Laxus wasn't at the guild or at least why he hasn't shown up yet. You nodded to Erza and Mira and left the guild. Since Laxus wasn't at the guild, you decided to go looking for him. You walked down the street, passing townspeople who, of course, recognized you as an S-Class wizard from Fairy Tail. Several people said "hi" and"hello" to you and even though you had no idea who these people were, you still returned the greetings.

You were walking when you passed by an alleyway. You heard a trash can fall and a scuffle across the ground like there was a fight. You stopped and backed up to see what was going on. What you saw wasn't what you were expecting. Laxus's back was against the wall and in his embrace was a girl. A girl whom he was kissing. You literally felt your heart break into a million pieces. You dropped the bag with Laxus's coat in it which caused him to remove his lips from the girl and look in your direction.

The second the two of you made eye contact, you ran and you didn't look back. You and Laxus have spent a year together. A year that was just flushed down the toilet.
