Confession Time
Laxus stood in South Gate Park, pacing by the Sola Tree. "I can't do this. I can't do this. What if she says no? What if she laughs in my face?" He thought aloud. The once confident Laxus Dreyar was now a bundle of nerves. His hands and legs shook violently from nervousness. It was 5:59 so you would be here at any moment. Or at least you should. Laxus feared that you might not even show up due to lack of interest. "Calm down, Laxus!" Freed whispered over to his leader. The Thunder Legion were hidden in a nearby bush upon Laxus's request. He wanted his team to be there for support.
You just entered South Gate Park. You had the love letter in hand and you were looking around the park. Ever since you received the letter, you were curious as to who wrote it. So curious that it nearly drove you insane. Up until now, you had sat in the very back corner of the guild and watched everyone closely: guy and girl. Now it was time to find the mysterious person who claimed to be in love with you. "Sola Tree. Sola Tree." You mumbled to yourself, looking for the said tree.
Laxus couldn't take the suspense much longer. He was still shaking like crazy, but now he started sweating. He tried to wipe every drop that suddenly appeared on his forehead and to steady his breathing because he was breathing like he just finished running a race. The Dragon Slayer heard footsteps come his way and he immediately tensed up. She's here, he exclaimed in his head. "You-" was all you said before you cut yourself off.
Laxus's body jolted at the sound of your voice. He balled his hands into fists in an attempt to stop shaking. You held up the letter in your hand so the blond could see it. "You wrote this?" You asked. His cheeks turned pink and he was too embarrassed to speak so he just nodded. "Seriously?" You asked in disbelief. You and Laxus rarely made conversation at all. He was always so distant. Those time when you two did talk, he would give short answers as if he wanted to end the conversation. Because of that, you assumed that he didn't want anything to do with you. Guess you were wrong.
"Uh . . . I t-think that y-you're really amazing . . . a-and I know we almost never talk but . . . but t-that's only because I preferred watching you from afar . . uh I'm not a stalker or anything, I swear!" The way Laxus stuttered and how deep his blush went told you that he was telling the truth. And you've gotta admit . . this is a cute side of him that no one but you has seen. Well don't you feel special!
"I . . . I-I love you . . [Name]!" The blond slammed his eyes shut as he shouted his confession. His blush was scarlet and all the way to his ears.
You mentally giggle at how cute Laxus was being right now. The usual hardcore and tough Laxus was now blushing and fidgeting nervously. Now you wanted to see more cuteness from him. You walked up to Laxus, gently grabbed his face with your hands, and kissed him on the lips. His jolted and tensed up at the contact. He was so tense, his lips felt like they were frozen shut against yours and it didn't look like he was planning on loosing up.
You pull away and step back. "Geez, was it that bad?" You tease. "N-No!" Laxus shouted immediately. "I-I mean . . . y-your lips . . . they were soft." He adds, touching his lips where your lips just were and blushing again. "That's good to hear. It'd be really bad if your girlfriend was a bad kisser." You smile. "Yeah I guess you're- . . . w-wait . . . g-g-g-girlfriend?" Seriously, Laxus was too cute right now.
"Yay! Congratulations! Hooray! We knew you could do it!" The Thunder Legion shouts happily as they burst out of the bush and run towards you and Laxus. Evergreen smothers you in a hug while Freed and Bickslow tell Laxus what a good job he did. "We should all go out for ice cream to celebrate." Evergreen suggested. "Good idea, Ever." Freed nodded in agreement.
As Freed, Bickslow, and Evergreen walked in front, you and Laxus walked behind. "I didn't know you could write love letters." You whispered to him. "I only did it because Evergreen made me." His voice was back to its usual strong and dominant self. No more stuttering. If there wasn't a huge blush on his face, you would've thought he was serious. Sureeee, you thought sarcastically as you giggle to yourself. "What?" Laxus asked, narrowing his eyes at you. "Oh, nothing." You replied. As the sunset appears, you wonder what you have to do to see that cute side of Laxus again.
