{Part Twenty}
Before long, the weekend rolled around again. I hadn't seen Josh since that time at Taco Bell, as much as I wanted to see him again. We both had things to do in our lives. However, we did text each other here and there, just to learn more about each other. I discovered that Josh loved cats, and hated bananas, liked I did. He told me he had three siblings: Ashley, Abigail, and Jordan, and that his parents owned a local grocery store.
On Sunday, I had church with my family. It was the only time I saw them, except on birthdays or holidays, or our monthly family dinner. Sunday was my least favorite day of the week, because of that. I had to try my absolute hardest to be the perfect brother, son, and Christian.
Don't get me wrong, I believed in God. I trusted Jesus as my savior and understood that He had died for me and the lives of everyone else. I just didn't really understand or feel the same way about God's plan for me.
Melanie texted me early Sunday morning, just after I got up.
Melanie: You awake Ty?
Tyler: Yeah
Melanie: Going to church today?
Tyler: Yeah
Melanie: Okay, text me when you get out and let me know how it goes
Melanie: Do you want to go to Taco Bell after?
Tyler: Yes
Often after church on Sundays, I would feel very stressed and anxious, and sometimes depressed. Melanie would usually check in with me on those days, and sometimes we'd go out to eat, where she would do her best to cheer me up and make me feel better. I kind of wanted to invite Josh to go with us, just as an excuse to see him again, but it had always just been Melanie and I on those Sunday afternoons. Besides that, he didn't know about my anxiety.
I got out of bed, went to my dresser, and sighed. Already I was feeling a bit anxious, and I hadn't even gotten dressed yet.
