{Part Thirty-one}
When Josh and I came back out into the living room, Dallon was strumming lightly on his acoustic, and Frank was tuing his guitar. Gerard just sat leaning against Frank, relaxed.
"You guys took forever," Dallon said, without looking up.
"Probably making out," Frank joked, grinning at us. I blushed and lowered my head, embarrassed. Josh just rolled his eyes, although I could see the light blush on his cheeks.
"We were not making out," Josh told him, sitting down on the couch. I sat close next to him. "Tyler just had a headache, and I went to give him some Tylenol." I gave Josh a quick, grateful smile, relieved that he hadn't revealed my anxiety issues aloud.
"Whatever you say, Josh," Frank replied, pointing a finger gun at Josh and jokingly firing. Josh just rolled his eyes again.

Josh, Dallon, and Frank played their various instruments, just messing around. As it turned out, Josh was a drummer; he had a whole drum set at his and Dallon's apartment, according to Dallon, but it was too difficult to move, so Josh had just brought part of an electric drum set he'd borrowed from Brendon.
After abour an hour, the three had gotten tired of their instruments, and so just lounged around on the couches. Frank and Gerard were sharing one, cuddled against each other, with Frank scrolling through his phone. Dallon sat at one end of the other couch, also scrolling through his phone. Josh and I were at the other end, with him on the couch and me on the floor between his legs. I had grown a bit nervous, and I found that sitting there with Josh surrounding me was comforting.
The keyboard sa in front of me, untouched. I reached out, almost without thinking, and started to play a few notes to a song I wrote about a year ago.
I didn't care if anyone was listening or not; I felt a bit more confidence than normal. I played straight through the whole song, thankfully without missing a single key. When I had finished, I leaned back against the couch again.
"Wow, Tyler, that was really great," Gerard said, and I looked up. I'd almost forgotten the others were there.
"Definitely," Josh agreed. His fingers played with my hair, and I smiled, ducking my head out of his reach. "Thank you."
"Did you write that?" Gerard asked, smiling at Josh and I. (A/N: Gee totally knows what's goin on.)
I gave him a slow nod. "Yeah."
"You've got talent, Tyler," Josh told me. I leaned back against the couch again, and let him play with my hair. It was nice.
