{Part Sixty-one}
Being around Josh was good. Exactly what I needed, in fact.
For almost an hour, I was able to forget about my troubles. We ate, we talked, we laughed, and we even managed to sneak in a kiss or two. I forgot about the world around me. All I could see was Josh, all I could hear was his voice and his laughter, all I could feel was comfort and safety, brought on by the feeling that I was loved.
Our date ended far too soon.
I hugged Josh tightly as he stood up to leave. Chuckling, he hugged me back. We probably looked silly--two guys hugging in a Taco Bell--but I couldn't care less.
"You okay, Ty?" Josh asked seriously as I hugged him tighter. I was reluctant to let him go; I felt like letting go of Josh would be letting go of the relative happiness I'd been feeling for the past hour.
"I just wish we could be around each other all day."
Josh kissed the top of my head. "We'll see each other soon, though." We separated, and he walked me out of the restaurant and to my truck, opening the door for me and smiling. "I'll call you after classes?"
I smiled a little, too. It was something to look forward to. "Yes, please." I leaned in and kissed him for a moment before getting in the truck. "See you later, Joshie."
"See you later, Ty."
