{Part Sixty-five}
The next day, after both work and school were over and done, I got a text from Josh.
Josh: Can I take you out on a date tonight?
Our last date, the one at my parents' house, obviously hadn't ended up so great. Still, I knew none of that was Josh's fault, and the prospect of doing something fun was certainly tempting. It might take my mind off everything that was going on.
Tyler: Sure, where to?
Josh: Dinner and a movie sound okay?
Tyler: That sounds great
Josh: I'll pick you up at five?
Tyler: I'll be ready
Josh: <3
Tyler: <3
I had about twenty minutes to get ready, which seemed like just enough time. After taking a very quick shower, I stood in my bedroom and debated over what to wear.
This date was a bit more casual than the last, seeing as my parents weren't along for the ride. It was just dinner and a movie, but I didn't know where, exactly, we were going for dinner. If it was someplace fancy, I didn't want to be underdressed, and if it was a more casual place, I didn't want to be overdressed. I debated over wearing my anxiety sweater, but in the end I decided against it. It probably needed a wash, and besides, I would hopefully feel comfortable enough with Josh to not need it.
In the end I settled on a long-sleeved red and black flannel shirt, my black winter jacket, skinny jeans, and some not-too-scuffed black shoes. It was nice enough to keep me from getting thrown out of Olive Garden, but casual enough to keep me from getting weird looks at Burger King.
I brushed my teeth and washed my face, and I was brushing my hair as Josh arrived. Putting my hairbrush away, I went to the door to greet my date.
