Chapter 2: The first fight

- What happened, onee-sama?

- About what?

- Your "diplomatic affairs"... You left us wondering!

- Oh! That... - Geir sighed smiling - I'd tell you everything I talked about with the Gods, but you two are still too young to hear that.

- Too young? We're over 900 years old!

- We're old enough!

- No, they're not yet. - the purple-haired girl laughed amused - When you reach the millennium, I'll consider talking to you about these issues.

- There's still a long time for that, onee-sama! - Both openly complained.

- Why do you talk like that? - Geir commented, while she took a big surprise to herself with her statement - If 900 years passed in the blink of an eye, 100 are nothing.

- But, onee-sama...

- Do you know how those 100 years will end easier? Going to sleep both at their time: you won't even realize it and you'll already be a thousand years old.

- Really?

- Of course, little girl. Time to sleep ~

Geir stroked the heads of the little Valkyries, both of them lying in little beds and wrapped in blankets. The youngest, Lífthrasir, gave a sleepy yawn as she settled into her bed.

- Today was a good day, so rest... - Geir sighed as he thought wistfully.

« I'll do everything possible, so when the second Ragnarok is over, I've been able to protect you, my girls. »

They both fell asleep, and a couple of minutes later the purple-haired Valkyrie got up to go outside the room.

« I must meet with the others as soon as possible. The Gods must already be preparing the Elysian Fields for the tournament to begin these days. I must gather everyone at once to- »

- Onee-sama...

Geir almost jumped in fright, but reacted calmly.

- Lif? What happen?

- I can't sleep...

- Why not?

- I'm not sleepy yet... - she sighed as she rolled on her bed - I... I have an idea... Do you yarn to me about Brunhilde onee-sama?

- Hmm?

- Yarn to me about our older sister... The one who did everything to protect humans and her sisters!

- Yes! Relate us! - the minor came out of her blankets - Tell us about the heroine who made the Gods tremble!

- So... You weren't asleep either, weren't you Lífthrasir?

- If I hear "Brunhilde onee-sama", it's impossible to sleep!

- Okay, okay... Get in her bed again and I'll yarn you more about her. - The 2 settled quickly and watched Geir carefully, causing him to laugh - Well... What do you want to hear?

- Yarn us when she challenge the Gods! Detail by detail!

- No! Better when she chose Sasaki Kojiro. Or rather, when he arrived.

- In that case... Better with Jack the Ripper! No no no! When she chose Nikola Tesla!

- No! Okita Souji's entrance!

- Or rather Simo Häyhä!... No! Got it... Ragnarok's best entry: Lu Bu Housen with his army!

- Of course not; he didn't have the best entrance. The best was Raiden Tameemon and in the background all the yokozuna making the arena shake.

- Of course not! In that case, the best entry was Adam, who appeared from the ground, along with all the animals, and showed his manhood making a superhero landing and his beauty with the apple.

- If we talk about personality, then the best is the Jack's entry! With that fog covering London city, Heimdall announcing his heinous crimes, and finally him revealing his face... That must be the best entry!

- Calm! You'll kill yourselves with so much debate. - Geir shook the hair of both Valkyries - I know, what if I tell you about Brunhilde onee-sama?

- Yes! We like that!

Geir sighed, as he remembered her older sister, especially what he had lived with her exactly 1000 years ago.

- Where should I start? Brunhilde onee-sama was a strong woman. Impeccable at times, usually respectful, but above all determined and with an unbreakable will. She was... the best of all Valkyries.

» There were times when my emotions emerged like... like a lotus flower. Many times I let myself be carried away by the joy and emotion before each of the fights. But instead she kept the proud countenance of hers, reflecting the necessary seriousness that we were facing a battle against the Gods...

Geir paused for a moment to remember those special scenes that entered his head.

...

Sasaki proudly raised the 2 swords of the Re-volund, while Geir, very confused, tried to wipe her tears to observe what was happening.

- Ugh... Hrist onee-san... She... is fine. I thought everything was over.

She smiled at the little Valkyrie, but doubt quickly invaded her.

- B-But... Why didn't she die when she broke?

- This is the true essence of Hrist! - Brunhilde explained with a fervent feeling of pride - Her ability comes from her name... "The one who trembles with fear and anger"!! Hrist has 2 souls living in one body: the only Valkyrie with that characteristic!

- As expected of Brunhilde onee-sama! She initially trusted Sister Hrist and Kojiro!

- ... Ha ha...

- ...Huh?

Suddenly, Brunhilde began to squirm with laughter as her voice rose higher and higher, completely scaring the younger girl.

- Huh!?

- This is...!! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!! How lucky!

« Lucky!? »

- Excellent!!!

« I don't understand!! » Geir blanked out.

- Come on! You can do it!! - Brunhilde raised her hands proudly and pointing to the arena - Sasaki Kojiro!!

...

» On those moments when I lost my mind, she helped me out. Firstly with her example: to remain still and without showing her feelings, so that I, who was then the apprentice of the Valkyries, had in mind only the facets that I'd need for my future work. She taught me what was necessary for when I was a real Valkyrie.

...

- Because that's the true gentleman's essence.

The public divided in 2 factions: the humans marveled at the deception used by Jack, and at the same time terrified to witness such a vile and vile human in action.

On the other hand, the Gods; those little angels and the followers of the hero Hercules hurled insults and curses at the murderer; quietly due to his surprise.

Between the confusion and muttering of the stands, Geir could only have one doubt in his head she was able to expel from her, among stutters, to her older sister.

- I... I don't understand... completely...- she began to articulate words, trying to capture her idea as clearly as possible - Why... Why did you choose THAT man ?

The older one was silent for a few moments, until she decided to respond to her younger one with a dark tone.

- Geir.

- Hmm?

- What is that in which humans completely exceed the Gods?... Do you know?...

The younger being scared didn't allow the words to come out, so she only answered her negative response with her head, at the same time that she fixed her gaze on the older one.

- Hmph...

Suddenly, the Brunhilde's aura turned dark and sinister, while her eyes filled with mischief, her smile twisted and she with that expression looked at her little sister.

- It's in the... EVIL...

- Huh!? - Geir was even more scared than before, for which she took a couple of steps back.

Her older sister's aura changed drastically again, returning to her gentle expression. However, her words kept that sinister tone.

- The personification of that infinite abyss... will remain engraved in the soul of the most just God...

- Now... Oh mighty hero... Tremble before me!

...

» When the first defeats of Ragnarok happened... Lu Bu's death and Adam's fall... I know instead I'd have broken down and been in a corner crying inconsolably; but she was calm the whole time. Now I can confess, between you and me, I gets to feel a lot of envy for her serenity.

...

- S-Sister, listen to me. Just calm down... Huh?

After Hrist's outburst of anger, the sound of muttering with great discomfort and a very aggressive low growl filled the room. Both Geir and Hrist looked closely at Brunhilde, who was attentive to what she had on the table.

Brunhilde, using all the courage and anger she was feeling at the moment, euphorically devoured the plates of food laid out on the table.

- That fucking old piece of shit! - she yelled angrily, not caring about the bits of food shooting out of her mouth like projectiles - Ruining my success card!

Geir and Hrist were very frightened by the look on her sister's face. But particularly surprised Geir was seeing what was eating.

« The cake she eats... is salmiakk! It's one of the worst Scandinavian sweets in the world, made from ammonium chloride and liquorice! Brunhilde onee-sama is really upset! »

As she ate, Brunhilde's mind tried to think clearly about the situation at hand.

« If I lose again, it wold be three consecutive losses. I have to win the next one by all means. »

The sound of a cell phone interrupted her meal, which caught her attention. She took the device and read the message on it, which made her immediately freak out.

She swallowed the last piece of cake in her mouth and with one swift movement she knocked everything off the table to the floor, and immediately began typing on the Akashic Records tablet.

- Huh? O-Onee-sama... Did something happen? - The pair of Valkyries approached the table and clearly read the message on the older woman's phone.

"The third participant of Ragnarok from the Gods is Poseidon"

- Huh? After Zeus... will Poseidon-sama follow!? - Geir was totally scared.

- It seems that the Gods won't bend - commented Hrist, conveying the same sentiment.

- B-But... Poseidon-sama isn't exaggerating? It's the third round, so... Why...?

Brunhilde fell silent, while she continued typing desperately on the tablet. The little Valkyrie approached until she invaded her personal space, took her arm because of her nerves, and began to babble nervously and scared.

- What are you doing?... Poseidon is the older brother of Zeus... Doesn't that mean he's also very strong?...

» Apparently the Gods want to finish the first seven fights with seven consecutive victories, right?...

» Sister, are you okay? Now everything depends on your choice... So, who will represent us...?

- GEIR.

Brunhilde's firm voice made the younger fall silent immediately. However, the older girl's index finger rested on the little girl's lips to confirm her message.

- For a moment... Could you shut up?... If not...

Brunhilde smiled kindly, as the finger that moved on her neck and her words left him menacing… terrifyingly cute.

- I'll have to cut your throat.

...

- Our onee-sama never lost his head?

- What can I tell you? She was... too perfect...

» She was the example of how should be a Valkyrie: strong, brave, serious, severe, firm, intelligent, strategist. Even if the situation warranted her feelings, she didn't allow herself to look weak to the Gods.

- It's amazing she stayed so serious in Ragnarok: the most important event in the history of Gods and humans!

- Yarn, yarn!... How was when Lu Bu Housen stopped Mjölnir with only his halberd?

Geir thought a bit, and began to relate with emotion.

- That was the most exciting moment I has ever witnessed. When Thor used his "Thor's Hammer", which had defeated Jotunheim's giants in one blow, the arena was filled with electricity and earth. I believed that everything had ended just like the Gods. But it was the opposite... Lu Bu got up and slashed at Thor's chest!

- Incredible!

- And later, when he received the "Geirrod" in full with the awakened Mjölnir... I was even more impressed! Lu Bu had also received it squarely! Although his legs didn't take the blow, his spirit strengthened and got back up to finish the fight.

- I'd have liked to see that fight! - Líf exclaimed with some disappointment - Shouting the name "My lord" in the middle of the stands!

- I'd have fought alongside him to defeat Thor! Even though he's our father... I'd have liked to have him test the strength of my fists!

- I bet even Thor would have trembled in fear at my powerful God-slaying technique! Special Hit: Thousand Lífthrasir! - she tried to punch the air, but fell on her own bed.

- Haha. You do watch a lot of television.

- But we don't have television...

- And if we did, you would imagine many more things... - Geir sighed with a certain feeling of nostalgia - Well, now it's time to sleep.

- But, onee-sama... We want to hear your version of Raiden Tameemon's fight!

- No; Okita Souji's better! Or Grigori Rasputin's!

- Time to sleep. Besides... - the sister whispered to the little ones after taking a look outside the room - Lord Thor doesn't use his hammer just to fight in the arena; he also uses it to hit girls who don't sleep early.

- Let him come for us! We are ready to face it!

Outside the room, a large shadow appeared, which the pair of little girls managed to observe, who were scared just by seeing it.

- I-It's...!

- Lord Thor! He's going to hit us!

Both submerged themselves in their blankets, covering themselves completely and with tremor.

Geir laughed softly and patted both their heads, then got up from his seat and left the room. And, just outside the door, who cast the shadow was Leonidas himself who was standing and smiling.

- Thank you very much - Geir spoke to him - It's always difficult to make them fall asleep.

- Don't worry Geir. On the other hand, I think it's time for us to rest too, don't you think?

- Sure, soldier... I'll do something first. You sleep first...

They both said goodbye and the Spartan king turned around while Geir decided to lose himself for a while.

She walked through the corridors of Valhalla, admiring the darkness and loneliness could be perceived in the corridors and empty rooms. She walked until reached a balcony where could see all of Valhalla and part of Asgard in the distance of the environment.

- So close to Lord Thor; and even so we're very far away... -commented the Valkyrie as she turned on her phone.

In fact, that device wasn't hers: it was the one Brunhilde had, with which she had seen the list of the fighters and received the messages about the order of the fighters; however, although she had used it for that, it was not all her function. After all, that was Brunhilde's phone.

Geir sighed longingly as she looked at the device in her hands.

- Onee-sama...

...

- Sister!

Brunhilde froze at the voice of her youngest, who was running towards her.

After advancing a stretch, the little girl stood in front of her trying to catch her breath; Brunhilde just looked at her without showing any emotion.

- Sister... I... - the minor began to speak, with heaviness and trembling - I crossed the line a while ago... I'm sorry...

She sighed as she lowered her gaze to the ground.

- Now I realize you also had feelings about this, right?... I'm sure you did...

- Geir...

The older one came over and put her hands on the girl's shoulders, scaring her for a moment. But, Brunhilde's next statement surprised her.

- You haven't done anything wrong. You don't need to apologize to me. We'll continue forward together for the good of humanity.

Without avoiding it, tears began to run down her eyes with emotion.

« That's the Brunhilde onee-sama I know. Since Ragnarok started, she's been acting weird, but… »

- Yes...

« I'm very happy… »

...

- "You don't need to apologize to me."

Geir felt very helpless at that precise moment, looking out into the darkness of Valhalla. She shook her head slightly, feeling the tears in her eyes again.

- No, of course I need it... I need to apologize for what I said and... I also need your advice... I don't think I can start all this without your help. I wish I could hear your words once more... Onee-sama...

Suddenly the device in her hands rang, making the girl almost drop it into the void. She took it back firmly and looked at what she had.

- L-Lord Thor has... sent me a message...

She read it aloud to know its content.

- "It's decided. The Elysian Fields will be the venue for Ragnarok this time"... "Zeus is impatient, so he ordered the arena to be built all night"... - she swallowed as spoke the last thing - "To tomorrow morning it will be finished, and he hopes the first fight will be at noon"...

The Valkyrie sighed in fear.

- So there is no more time to prepare them...

Geir took a deep breath, and then hurriedly returned her steps to the Einherjer's bedchamber, entering the room of the Leonidas in a single moment, who was sitting on her bed ready to sleep.

He wasn't that surprised to see the Valkyrie, but was surprised by the attitude with which she entered.

- Geir?

- Leonidas. I need your help.

The Valkyrie sat next to him and briefly explained the situation, causing the king to explode with that particular phrase:

- What!? You accepted a second Ragnarok!?

- It was the only option I could see - the Valkyrie justified herself - I don't expect you to understand, but... If I didn't make a decision and left it at Gods' mercy, there was the possibility of your destruction.

- But, they... They're some-!

- They promised to leave humanity this millennium, and that's what they did. They've kept their word... But, that time is over.

Leonidas sighed in dissatisfaction, putting a hand to his neck.

- So... Does that mean I'll fight with you again?

- I'd like to say that, but no. I'll explain later, but we need to do something right now.

- ... Okay... What do you need then?

- We must gather all the Einherjer. Now.

...

- Why do we have to be in this place so late at night?

- It's too late. I'm still sleepy...

- Guys! Please I need your attention.

The 6 men put aside their complaints and paid attention to the Valkyrie and Leonidas, who were on a small platform, all gathered in a garden of Valhalla.

- Good. I think Leonidas already brought them up to date...

- No, I have not said anything to them - answered the soldier.

- Aware of what?

- What are you talking about?

- Okey! This will be very difficult to say... - she raised her voice to speak to the Einherjer - We'll fight against the Gods again.

- ... What!?

The minor began to explain with a slight stutter...

- They decided we'll have a second Ragnarok. This time we won't be in Valhalla, but will be fighting on the Elysian Fields, so-

... But the Einherjer were too elated to hear explanations.

- Will we fight against those arrogant ones again!?

- Didn't they understand we kicked their asses last time!?

- They should leave us alone! We already fight for our freedom!

- Hey! - Leonidas called everyone's attention with a shout, and then spoke quietly - Please, keep your voices down. This assignment is secret.

- What?

- I don't want to involve my sisters in this again - Geir replied with a dropped voice - I have the chance to fight for you again and protect the family I've left. It is a perhaps unique opportunity that I don't intend to miss...

They all remained silent, and at the same time they were assisting with their heads.

-... It's okay - Simo Häyhä yawned as he stretched out his arms - We've already killed Gods, how difficult will it be to do again?

- And, regarding that. You... will not fight again...

- Huh?

- Geir already informed me about it - Leonidas answered - We have already fought once for humanity and she wants to "give us" for our effort to be out of this tournament... or something like that.

- Hey!

- Also, strategically speaking it isn't a good tactic. The Gods already saw us fight a thousand years ago; it would be very unwise use the same tricks a second time.

- You're right sir... - Jack commented sitting in the garden fountain - It's a better plan to fight with other men.

- So... What do you need our help with, Geir? - Okita asked confused.

Geir took a deep breath, then pointed down a corridor filled with shadows.

- I want you to train them.

Through that dark corridor appeared 13 human figures, who would be the new humanity's fighters. The Einherjer were surprised to recognize some of them.

- You are...!

- II'd like you to pass on the skills you left us, and with which you were able to win.

» The perfect scanner to predict, the brilliant mind deceived the Gods... The eyes saw beyond divinity, the sword sliced madness from the skies, the spirit surpassed the most powerful magic...

» All that was able to defeat the Gods! I'd like you to give them your teachings, your skills and your personal experiences in battle. So we can make a perfect strategy to win this second Ragnarok, and...

» This time we'll make sure the Gods will leave humanity forever!

The 7 looked at each other, being surprised and excited. The first to respond, in a clear and audible voice, was Nikola Tesla.

- We will Geir. Tell us; How much time do we have to train them?

Geir's enthusiasm plummeted at response.

- Actually we only have tonight.

- ...Huh?

- In a few hours the Gods will have the combat arena ready. They want the first fight to be at noon.

- That's no time!

- Also, I want to travel there at once to establish the place where we'll settle. We can take advantage of the outward journey to train and make a strategy as quickly as possible.

- One way trip?

- As Geir told us... - Leonidas replied - The tournament won't be here, since the Gods have already established they will not return to Valhalla. Ragnarok will be on the Elysian Fields.

- Sparkly! - Nostradamus commented, with great emotion - I always wanted to see the Elysian Fields.

- Good. Then let's go there at once... Let's not waste time!

- Moment! - Sasaki interrupted everyone's movement, raising his hand - One last question. You said the Valkyrie ladies wouldn't be involved. So... How are they supposed to fight against the Gods without the Volund?

Geir was silent for a moment, then smiled in the same way her older sister did.

- Don't worry, Sasaki... I already have a plan for that.

...

- Welcome, ladies and gentlemen!

Heimdall walked in the arena of the Elysian Fields, breaking ground that would witness 13 new battles. Thanks to the fact the stadium was bigger than previous one, it could be seen the stands were filled with more spectators than before.

Both the humans and the divinities present on each side of their stands gave off the same feeling of excitement and suspense at what was about to happen.

- Can not be! Another Ragnarok!

- I wasn't present in the past...

- It was so epic! The Gods and the humans were in an unprecedented battle!

- Of course! The Gods never let their guard down, but they couldn't against the selected humans! In the end we managed to win!

- I asked me who will represent us on this occasion.

- I'd like to see women in the arena too!

- Hey! Perverted!

- I don't say it for that!

- We won't know until the fighting starts.

On the side of the Gods, Zeus sat very comfortably on the crimson and gold throne was situated in his main box; very excited, he rubbed on the seat.

- I haven't sat in this chair for millennia!

- Of course, father... - Ares replied next to him - It's been a long time.

- I'm really surprised you offered the Elysian Fields as the venue for the tournament - Aphrodite commented, sitting in her own room and separated from the rest of her; they could communicate with her and vice versa 'cause they broadcast it on a small television - As I remember, this place is one of your favorites.

- That's why I offered it - the Supreme God spoke with a smile - Here it'll be, in my own house, where the humans will see their end...

- I don't think it's wise to sing victory ahead of time - commented Hermes cautiously - We already know what they're capable of.

- That's right, we already know. But, I'd like to see them try to overcome the obstacles we have put up for them now...

Arranged between the steps of the deities, there were other special boxes were occupying the Gods representing their pantheons: Thor next to Forseti; Shiva and 3 his wives; Horus, along with Osiris and Isis; and so on other boxes with Gods from pantheons hadn't participated in the last Ragnarok.

- I think was a very good idea to invite more Gods and pantheons to this Ragnarok - Zeus commented happily while he watched how those special boxes were filled - This time, the Gods will show our strongest and best weapons to fight.

-But, from what I saw of the list, they also have surprises -commented Hermes, looking at the new list of fighters on his phone.

- Well... Let's hope that those humans are as interesting as the previous ones.

- Very well! The moment we have been waiting for 1000 years has come again! - announced the Norse through his Gjallarhorn - After the defeat the Gods had last time, they've decided it's time to reclaim his honor... And after waiting for 1000 years, this day has come!

» The day when the Gods have decided to put humanity back on the scales of life! Will humanity be able to pass through these 13 trials again, or will it ultimately fall to its destruction?

» So tell me... Are you ready for this!?

- Yes!! - the unison cry reverberated in the arena in such a way that everything shook like an earthquake

- Very well! So let's start with this second Ragnarok! The defended and honorable humanity against the humiliated but all-powerful divinity! Who will win? Humans with their bravery or Gods with their title!? Let's find out right now!

Geir entered her box to take a seat in the chair had been built for her. It was very comfortable actually and allowed her to see the arena and the other Gods in the stands in more detail.

The Valkyrie sighed feeling all the nerves run through her body.

- Let's inherit everything we can... for the good of humanity...

- The rules are the same as in the last tournament: fight to death! The victory of one side will be decided by the death of its opponent; the side that gets 7 wins will be the undisputed winner of this tournament!

» And presenting in the first combat: here we have the first fighter the Gods have sent...!

A large steel gate swung open slowly, a chilling metallic screech accompanying it. All the spectators put aside their excitement and paid silent attention to the Nord.

- What can we say about this God!? He is one of the strongest; a great warrior without equal! He is the one to start this second round against the humans!

At the back of the gate, in the corridor that was being illuminated by the incoming light, there was a very colorful chair decorated with feathers and jewels, where the God in charge of representing his side in that first fight sat. He serious and with a noticeable feeling of boredom he directed his gaze to the outskirts.

- This God is the one to fight here! If not him, no one else has to be!... Representing Lord Thor himself, who 1000 years ago started this Ragnarok to search for the strongest human... This God has come to find the rival worthy of fighting!

The deity got up from his seat slowly as he took his weapon that was buried in the ground, pulling it out in one movement. Likewise, she extended her other arm to take the shield from his throne.

- And does this God need an introduction!? Of course!

» The myths say he was born under impossible conditions: a virgin birth by his mother! His 400 brothers decided he wasn't worthy to be in his family and planned to murder them, mother and son, to regain his honor!

» But it wasn't like that! This God only needed to be born to defend his mother, and kill each and every one of his siblings!

- He can't be!

- Oh no! Is he!

The stands of humans began to freak out as the walking God walked out of the hall and around the combat arena.

- Millenniums later, he left to a human people the task of finding the sign of the eagle devouring the serpent... The same civilization became one of the most feared peoples all over the world; the murderous and bloodthirsty warriors who never fall in battle! This was caused by this God!

- I can not believe it! Is he!

- It has to be a joke!

- This God...! After not having participated 1000 years ago... Today he will be the one who opens the doors for the Gods to destroy humanity! He'll be the heavyweight who will show those who did not let him participate what a bloody fight should be like!

The deity stopped in the middle of the arena, while he moved the hummingbird pendant that held his feather cape, to drop it and have more mobility.

- His name is... The warrior, the war itself and the founder! The hummingbird of the south: HUITZILOPOCHTLI!!

{ Huitzilopochtli | Mexican }
[ First Representative of Gods ]

All the humans were very scared and terrified before the imposing presence of the God of war.

- Is he! The God who founded the Aztecs!

- He will be the first!

- We'll be lost!

Huitzilopochtli with a feeling of boredom observed everyone around him, both the Gods in their boxes and the humans who shouted in their seats.

But he stopped as soon as he found Thor, the Thunder Berserker, and fixed his gaze on him. Thor mimicked his movement and they both stared at each other. Tension was felt in the air and even the Gods were scared by it.

- What is this pressure? - Ares asked, intrigued by what he was seeing.

-It seems that urban legends are real... - Zeus commented animatedly, which raised doubts in his 2 sons - Don't you know? Well, I think it's because of our distance from cemeteries...

- What are you talking about, father p Zeus?

- They say those 2 Gods, Thor and Huitzilopochtli, are equal in strength and power. However, neither of the two had exchanged glances in their lifes, so the rumors were simply rumors. But now, both of them have stared at each other, and apart from the resemblance they have, maybe... - Zeus thought a little, and laughed amused - I'm very excited right now. I'd like to see what will happen when the two of them face each other...

Thor and Huitzilopochtli did not take their eyes off each other and the same thought arose in the heads of both divinities.

« How strong will you be?... »

Geir tensed up a lot seeing Huitzilopochtli on the scene. She shifted a little in his chair to hide her nervousness, but it only made it more apparent.

- So they really did the same as a millennium ago. They sent one of their best fortresses to the front...

Heimdall took a deep breath and continued talking to the Gjallarhorn.

- And now, it's time to present the representative that humans have chosen for this first fight.

Geir sighed slowly, and a smile came over his nervous face.

- But... I also have my aces...

The powerful roars of the feline called lion burst with the emotion of the spectators, who changed their sight to the other side of the arena. A metal gate began to open in the same way that it did with Huitzilopochtli, and enormous murmurs, especially on the side of humanity, spread rapidly.

- Lions?

- What does this mean?

- Who is the representative of humanity?

- This man... he's not just a human being: he's almost like a God! I must confess it was a very good idea to choose this man to fight in the first round!

A pair of lions entered the arena, which surprised those present. Even more so when noticing that the lions had chains that grabbed his body so that they were able to drag something from behind.

- This man was born as a human, but he grew up as a God! Even the city. only with his hands, could terrorize is witness to it! This man, was able to maintain the war against an entire population, and after his long and euphoric efforts, finally the great Troy succumbed to the fear of facing this man!

The lions were pulling a metal chariot, in which there was a very tall and muscular man who was holding the lions' chains with one hand.

- The Gods gave him the gift of divinity, but his love for humans made him reject it! And was the life of his best friend the payment for having rejected the offer of the Gods? Is the heel that the God Apollo pierced through Prince Paris the punishment for offending the Gods?

The lions stopped, letting out great, mighty roars as the man descended from the chariot, taking the spear and shield from beside him.

Then, he took a few steps on the ground until he was at a distance of about 6 meters from God Huitzilopochtli, who was not surprised in the least.

- This man... has come this far to defeat the Gods who sentenced him to death! This man... has come all the way here to once again demonstrate the bravery and courage of human beings in this Ragnarok tournament! And his name... is...! ACHILLES!!

{ Achilles | Greek }
[ First Representative of Humanity ]

Humanity changed its attitude; quickly in the stands they began to jump and celebrate with joy.

- I can not believe it!

- It's about Achilles! The hero of Greece!

- I take it back: with him victory is assured!

In Zeus's box, the 3 Greek Gods were moved and surprised.

- So she convinced Achilles to fight on her behalf. - Ares commented under his breath.

- This will be very interesting... - answered Hermes - The hero who fought for us, has come to our own house to defeat us... it must be a hard blow for both sides.

- Let's see, let's see... - Zeus smiled broadly - Let's see if the great Achilles who defeated the Trojan warriors and was even able to move me... is able to pierce one of the terrors of Mesoamerica.

- This will be a great battle ladies and gentlemen! - exclaimed Heimdall, looking both ways - A true fight of the heaviest weights! The Thor of Mesoamerica against the Half-god of Greece! Now this is the perfect occasion for my trumpet, the Gjallarhorn, to be played again!

Heimdall raised the horn from him, inhaled deeply, and finally played the music of his body as he expelled all the air he had held. Said sound completely filled the arena, so that the screams and emotions ceased to pay attention.

For the first time in history, that horn, the Gjallarhorn, which was only intended for Heimdall to announce to the Asgardians of the arrival of Ragnarok, would be blown a second time. And not only that: but it would be played on the Elysian Fields, while 2 opponents who never met eyes in their lives would face each other.

That was the moment in which the true essence of Ragnarok could be contemplated in more detail: the fight of humans against the Gods. In a battlefield never used for that before, with 2 rivals unknown to each other, and many feelings behind the scenes.

Geir watched the scene of the upcoming battle, with excitement in her body and a great nervousness could not be hidden. Zeus and the Greek Gods watched in fascination, hoping to see Achilles again in action.

The other Gods watched to see Huitzilopochtli use his power after being rejected for the first Ragnarok, and the humans wished and longed for the victory of the Greek hero who many years ago participated in one of the most important wars in history.

The arena could only be defined with only 2 words: "excitement" and "wait".

- Gods and humans! - Heimdall in a single movement lowered one of his hands until touched the ground. - May the first round of Ragnarok... This Last Ragnarok, that will decide the future of humanity and  Gods... BEGIN!!
