The top thing I hate about Pokémon Fanfics is the stupid, shiny Umbreon in every fanfic. Not only does every one have an Umbreon, but they're ALWAYS SHINY. Okay, what's the chances of encountering a shiny Pokémon? One in 1000000000? And where can you even CATCH an EEVEE? Backlot Mansion in SINNOH? 'Cause, yeah, everyone goes over to Sinnoh JUST TO CATCH A STUPID EEVEE, WHO AREN'T EVEN THAT POWERFUL OR GOOD, AND, WHAT ARE THE ODDS? THE ONE YOU CATCH JUST HAPPENS TO BE SHINY!Let's face it, people just throw a shiny into their fanfic 'cause they want to. People are all like: "I just caught Giratina, and guess what, it's shiny! *insert stupidly happy face HERE*. Yeah, no. If the characters from a bunch of fanfics met, it would be like this:

Trainer 1: I'm from Kanto, and I have a Shiny Umbreon!

Trainer 2: I'm from Johto, and I also have a shiny Umbreon!

Trainer 3: Oh yeah, well, I'm from Hoenn, and I have a shiny Umbreon that's a part of my whole team of shinies!

Trainer 4: I'm from Unova, and pft, just one shiny Umbreon? Nah, I got fifteen, and five other PC boxes full of other shinies!

Trainer 5: I'm from Kalos, and I've just got shinies galore! Umbreons, Flareons, Espeons, I have so many, all my PC boxes are full of them and I has able to fill up my friend's PC boxes with my extras!

Trainer 6: -_-; Yeah, I'm the legit trainer from Sinnoh, and I don't have a shiny Umbreon, but I do have a shiny Bidoof, since I've seen a bajillion Bidoofs in my lifetime.

Get my point? People just go "Oh, my OC's got a Darkrai? POOF, now it's shiny. Eh, why not, their buddy's Victini can be shiny, too. And so can their rival's Sudowoodo, and Nurse Joy's Chansey, and their mom's Braviary, and that random trainer's Beedrill." I get if you're like: "I have a shiny Panpour in real life, so I'll give my OC one, too." And don't try to defend your self if your OC is like the Kalos trainer, because, let's use me as an example. I have a shiny Tyranitar, Dostox, Eevee, Gyarados, Dratini, and Pichu. Now how did I get those? The Tyranitar I got as a Larvitar for participating in Pokémon Tournament, same with the Eevee, Pichu was a distribution event, Dratini I got from Alder's grandson what's his face, Gyarados was the Red Gyarados in every HeartGold and SoulSilver {I got another one in Gold}, and Dustox is the only Shiny I luckily found and almost didn't catch because of the stupid catching game.

My point: DON'T OVER USE SHINIES IN YOU POKéMON FANFICS!!!!!
