I'm a huge fan of the After books by Anna Todd. After discovering them over the summer and falling in love with the characters, I knew I wanted to write a story about one of them, who was the question. I thought about each character and when I landed on Jace an idea struck me. Jace is pretty much the biggest asshole and cares about no one but himself. Although there is not a lot of info on Jace's background or even a lot about his character in the books I decided to go ahead and try it out.

I was a bit nervous to write this (still am) because Anna's work is so amazing and I knew anything I wrote would never compare, but I wanted to give it a shot anyway. My first thought was that Jace needed someone to teach him a lesson or I needed to have Jace meet his match and realize he can't treat people like shit. So why not give him a love interest who could test him in ways he'd never been tested. And that's how I came up with the idea.

Wanted to give the heads up that I tried to research Jace's character and there really isn't much, so I kind of went with it and created a background for him. I hope it's to your liking and that I did a good job with coming up with a back story for him.

Anyways as usual I need to state that I DO NOT own the character Jace or any mention of any After characters.

Anyway, thank you Anna Todd for writing such amazing books that continue to inspire me to become a better writer.
