Aftermath

This has mentions of blood and injuries.

It has been several minutes since the police and ambulance arrived yet for Lana...it felt like an eternity. Her sister was slowly getting lifted off of the ground that was covered in some of her blood. It made her sick, but she had more pressing matters to think about mainly how broken her twin looked. She was sure to have some broken bones, bruises and scars from this. Despite this, Lana couldn't help herself from thinking that Lola's pride led to this entire situation.

If she had only listened to her and just apologized to the girl then she would've been fine. Alas, she decided to try to fight Hank and Hawk by herself. Speaking of which, the boys were getting handcuffed by the cops with Lola's blood covering their hands and some parts of their clothes. They were trying to blame this entire situation on her twin, but to be honest...their excuses fell flat. They were several years older and knew better, but still decided to lay their hands on her sister.

"What am I going to say to..." Lana began to say to herself before hearing some shouting near the entrance of the park. Turning her head, she saw Lori, Leni and Luan shouting to let them through to see them. Honestly, she thought that she would feel something seeing them, but...she just felt numb.

"Come on, we just need to see our sisters." Lori said with irritation and concern in her voice. She had hoped that this fight was just another false rumor. After all, no one would lay their hands on a little girl...At least, she hoped that no one would do something like that. Sadly, it seemed like Hank and Hawk had no issues in doing something like that.

"Our sisters are in there so just let us..." Luan said as she tried to shove her way inside. While Leni stayed back and looked terrified at the state that Lola was currently in. At the corner of her eye, Lana thought that she saw Lincoln standing in the distance, but quickly dismissed it. After all, why would he come here since he hated their guts?

"I wonder..." Lana said before someone touched her shoulder causing her to jump.

"Are you okay, sweetie?" A voice said. Lana looked up to see a female officer looking at her with some concern.

"Y..Yes. I'm just worried about my sister." Lana said which made the officer frown for a second before a soft smile replaced it. If she wasn't so numb, Lana was sure that she would've feel relieved and would've hoped that her sister was going to be okay. However, she knew that this thought was just wishful thinking. Her sister was hurt and would be  traumatized by this experience.

"That's...understandable." The officer said as she led Lana to meet with some detectives who were looking at the scene with frowns on their faces. At the same time, Lincoln stared at the scene with a blank expression on his face. Don't get him wrong, he was still mad at his sisters, but that didn't mean that he wanted them to get hurt.

"So, what do we do now?" Rusty asked causing the rest of the group to stare at him with raised eyebrows.

"I..I really don't know. Though, we may have need to consult Dr. Lopez about the mental trauma that happened." Clyde said.

"Agreed. It's kinda hard to watch this fight...no, one sided massacre." Zach stated.

"I can only imagine how the others are going to take it especially...." Lincoln started to say before spotting Luan, Lori and Leni standing near the entrance of the park. He knew that it was only a matter of time before the others arrived which wouldn't be good.

"I feel like they are about to wrestle like wrangle with the police." Liam said. Lincoln almost wanted to smack his forehead, but decided against it after all this reaction was understandable. Though, it could also lead to more issues which Lana and Lola didn't need at this moment.

"This isn't good." Clyde said while Lincoln texted his parents about the current situation. They were worried about Lola, but also knew that they needed to calm Lori, Luan and Leni down before they push the police too far.

"I texted my parents about this and they're making their way over. Though, they may ask why we didn't do anything to stop the fight." Lincoln said making the others nervously gulp. They weren't ready to have that conversation since it exposes their cowardice. Not to mention that even if they did try to stop the fight, it didn't mean that no one would get hurt. Even so, these reasonings didn't ease the guilt that each of them felt.

"That doesn't sound pleasant." Rusty said while slowly getting up and walking over to the cops with the group. At the same time, Lola was fading in and out of consciousness. She would hear adults talking, but would slowly start to pass out. Each time that she managed to open her eyes, she could feel the pain from those injuries that those two boy...no, monsters inflicted upon her.

It was terrifying and thought it would never end until...the cops arrived to get a hold of the situation. As she lost consciousness the first time, she could still remember the look that Lana gave her. It was clear that Lana felt like she messed up and Lola honestly couldn't blame her sister. She did mess up.

Now look at her. She was beaten black and blue and the worst part about it....her brother also witnessed the entire thing. She wasn't sure what he was feeling while looking at the scene. Though, part of her wished that he could've stepped in and stopped the fight. However she also knew that doing so would end up causing Lincoln to be in the same spot that she was currently in.

She can only hope that they would someday reconcile with each other in the future. Though, if such a thing was still possible....

Is still up in the air.

Hope you enjoyed the chapter...Bye 👋
