Alright guys one final chapter for this week and then next week it's all done! It's been fun but get ready, this ending is full of twists and turns....

Valt almost stopped battling to go and check on Shu but instead he faced Theodore angry.

Theodore only laughed.

"And then there was one left, the last blader." Theodore said with a strange excitement.

Valt only narrowed his eyes, screaming in power.

Amaterios and Valtryek circled one another and Valtryek took the first attack with Theodore blocking it effortlessly. Then changing directions Valtryek sped into Amaterios and they collided in the center.

With Valt distracted he lost sight of Amaterios and realized Amaterios was circling Valtryek trapping it but it launched Valtryek towards the wall sending it into the sky only for it to come back down knocking Amaterios off balance. But using the slope, Amaterios regained it's balance again and slammed into Valtryek pushing it against a rock. But Valtryek was able to get out with Amaterios throwing more attacks for Valtryek to dodge.

Dodging the attacks, both beys collided in the center unleashing a wave of power knocking everyone who wasn't in the battle backwards.

"Don't you see? We're the same, you and I."

"We're nothing alike." Valt said with his eyes glowing.

"And yet here you are proving my point and in the end, you will be corrupted just like all of them."

"I'm not giving up that easily."

"What you do to bladers, no what you force them to do, is cruel and wrong," he said.

Valtryek pushed against Amaterios.

"No but Shu had a choice and so did you and Free over there, you could've avoided all of this if you had just joined me all of those months ago. Then Free, Sasha and Shu wouldn't be hurt and Shu never would've abandoned you."

At the mention of Shu, Valt lowered his head building up his power, but unlike the other points of the battle this time it was dark purple and when he looked back up at Theodore pure anger and rage had taken over him.

Valtryek glowed the same color as his resonance speeding over to Theodore.

Valt yelled and Valtryek kept attacking over and over at Amaterios, sending it flying from the air, not letting it touch the ground or recover. Valt yelled even louder making his resonance stronger.

"Break it, Valtryek!"

A crack ran along Amaterios energy level making Valt smile even more.

Unleashing his wild, dark power Amaterios started slowing down in the air but Valtryek didn't stop. He didn't want to, he was ending this now.

His veins bulge out of his arms, growling his dark eyes overwhelmed his pupils. Wild and so foreign.

"My, my Valt, I didn't expect this to get so serious."

The energy level around Amaterios broke off revealing another level underneath just like Phoenix but full of spikes.

"That's why Valtryek is so covered in cracks, it's because Amaterios has been hurting it this whole time." Sasha whispered to herself in the background.

Valt yelled clenching his fists with tears streaming down his face with his dark power even stronger than ever.

"Valt."

Valtryek froze along with Valt turning over to Shu. His eyes seemed so clear for a moment and Shu could see Valt through the power, surprising him that he hadn't been taken over by the power.

Shu nodded his head with a determined look.

Valt smiled and nodded back, turning back to Theodore and staring him down.

"Is that it Valt? Surely you've learned more from me than that."

Valtryek immediately switched directions and collided with Amaterios again and again, mirroring it's attacks.

"I haven't just learned from you Theodore."

Valtryek twirled the winds creating another tornado that sent Amaterios flying at a rock.

"I've learned things from everyone."

Colliding with Amaterios, Valt absorbed back some of Theodore's power and sped away before Amaterios could recover. Amaterios chased it and just as it caught up Valtryek disappeared, it was going so fast.

"And I don't need a power to copy or steal from someone else."

Glowing golden Valtryek collided into Amaterios glowing a rainbow of colors sending it into the sky.

Theodore narrowed his eyes as Amaterios came back down creating a crater slowing down.

Valtryek rushed into it glowing purple with Valt yelling and pumping his fist in unison. But right as Valtryek was about to finish it, it was like someone had put on the breaks.

Now, Amaterios was ramming Valtryek into the wall stealing it's power, the absorbed power he had taken from Theodore was now going back into him along with Valt's own power.

But Valtryek managed to escape flying into the air but Amaterios followed behind sending it back into the crater.

"Playtime is over."

Crushing Valtryek into the crater Valtryek was on it's last leg, wobbling Valt felt exhausted from the power.

Amaterios collided into it again and sent it flying through three layers of rocks.

Somehow the bey was still spinning but the wings on Valtryek had been broken off causing the bey to be severely unbalanced.

"Don't you get it? From the very beginning this was never about the tournament or stealing all of the world's bladers, this was about destruction. This was about finishing what Phi started and now you'll be destroyed."

The world turned on the grayscale, Shu, Free, Lui, Theodore, the landscape and the army of corrupted bladers all disappeared.

"I'm going to swallow up all of your light." Theodore said right before he disappeared.

Valt looked around for anyone to help him but there was nothing but inky blackness everywhere around him. The illusion was too strong for him.

On the outside Valtryek had started wobbling with Valt closing his eyes and Theodore laughing.

"What did you do to him!" Sasha screamed.

"YOu CAn'T hElp hiM nOw." Theodore said, tilting his head.

The dark power surrounded him forming tentacles.

Back in the gray dark scape...

"This corruption, this power Valt, is an eternal curse passed down blader through blader all unable to escape its consumption. Corruption can't be cured, only transferred. The dark power needed a vessel, at first it was Phi but after seeing how you were able to beat him it eventually took over you. It will always stick with you no matter how much of your power you put into a battle Valt. Just as your light resonance can never truly be destroyed which is why it'd be easier if you'd forgotten about it."

The dark tentacles coiled themselves around Valt making the air thicken and get cold.

"It was stupid thinking you could defeat me, you can't fight me and the corrupted power." Theodore whispered in his ear.

"Just accept your fate Valt, you've already lost."

On the outside Valt's resonance was slowly turning a darker shade of black with his body tightening. Valtryek changed colors to glowing black instead of purple.

Sasha's eyes widened along with everyone else's who wasn't corrupted.

"You ruined me, and everything I love along with my friends. And what's worse is that it was all for power. You're sick." Valt said with his eyes glowing a deeper shade of purple.

"Maybe you're the one whose sick Valt, I'm the end result if you decide to get better."

As much as Valt hated to admit it, Theodore's corruptive power was more leveled up and complete than his or rather Phi's.

The resistance in Valt slowly faded along with his power and on the outside Valtryek began severely wobbling. Theodore was now standing before him smiling looking down at the defeat in Valt's eyes.

"I'm glad you know when to accept defeat." Theodore said before letting his resonance go through Valt's chest absorbing his power.
