The next morning rain pounded on the ceiling and the only light outside was the occasional lightning. It was a bleak summer day but it was better rainy than hot for most bladers.

Unlike them Valt was disappointed seeing the rain that morning, he really needed to train away from everyone but now Sasha was calling everyone to the gym.

After wolfing down breakfast everyone was gathered in the gym. It wasn't a large crowd considering lots of bladers were on vacation and dealing with their own problems but on the bright side Sasha along with Honey were now back and standing onstage.

Unlike everyone, Shu was standing off to the side watching, off in his own world while Free was nowhere to be seen.

"Sorry Kris couldn't be here this morning she had to go run an errand but I figured since it's a rainy day and we can't really train outside we could take the day off since it's summer. Ange is offering cooking classes, we could also watch a movie, or a talent show..."

As Sasha carried on listing all the activities Valt's mind started to wander.

Maybe I could just sneak off and train like Free....

As Valt started to sneak away from the crowd Honey stopped in his tracks.

"Which group are you going to do Valt?" she asked with a smile.

"Ummm,"

Racking his head for activities but the only ones he could think of were the first three.

"The movie group."

"That's what Sasha and I are doing too!"

"Hey do you now what group Shu will be in?"

"Probably the same one you're in after all you guys are best friends!"

"Yeah best friends..."

Picking a spot for the movie, Valt laid down on a stack of pillows next to Shu, Sasha and Honey.

A couple other bladers were with them but overall it wasn't a large group.

As the movie turned on Valt immediately realized this was one of Joshua's movies and it was going to be a very long night.

And of course the movie was about Joshua heroically saving Free in the last tournament, no wonder why Free wasn't there.

Falling over with boredom Valt stared at the ceiling concluding it was more interesting than the movie itself.

Valt did feel bad for being distant especially to Shu, he knew Shu and Aiger would probably understand what he was going through but Valt knew he needed to figure this out himself.

Determined he sat up and mumbled something about going to the bathroom.

Sneaking away little did Valt know someone was following him.

Walking around BC Sol Valt had no clue where he should train, the stadium in the forest seemed good but he knew Free was probably already there and it was raining. There was also the gym but it was being used for the movie.

Which only left one place: the basement.

The basement still had the old infinity stadium but also Red Eyes mask full of Phi's evil power.

Opening the door it creaked loudly with age, leading Valt down the stairs. Taking a flashlight he opened the door. A stadium was at the bottom with a bey in the center. Turning on the lights the dark basement was now a little lighter.

The part of the basement were the mask was being held was in another room but looking around there were no other rooms.

Maybe Kris was lying or maybe there's more to the basement than we know...

Whatever the case taking the remote he turned on the spinning bey setting it to a moderate speed.

Holding out his launcher he pretended the bey in the center was Amaterio's and launched Valtryek over and over.

Time seemed to stretch on and Valt began to get into the zone ignoring the storm, the movie upstairs and the person who had followed him downstairs.

Delta stood at the top of the stairs watching Valt train, like Valt he had also chosen the movie group but had been more interested in what Valt was doing. Following Valt down to the basement had been easy, almost a little too easy but he didn't care.

Delta had always been a wild card to everyone at BC Sol except to Valt and Drum. Drum liked everyone so Delta had concluded Drums behavior towards himself was normal. But unlike Drum, Valt told a different story.

Watching him now Delta knew this wasn't the same blader who had welcomed on the first day with a smile instead he seemed more distant and off in his own world.

Almost like Free in a way.

But other than him being distant Delta knew there was something else at work here and so did Devolos. Which was why Delta was down there in the basement now and for other reasons.

But now looking at Valt he didn't seem like the only wild card anymore.

With his back to Delta he could see his resonance darkening and a ghostly Valtryek could barely be seen.

Devolos lit up distracting Delta.

"You were right Devolos, his light is already being consumed by Amaterios."

Getting up he was about to walk away when something caught his eye.

A golden light came from Valtryek fighting back Theodore's dark power.

Delta stopped in his tracks watching Valts every move.

His golden power went everywhere while his eyes were glowing golden, Delta had only seen this power only one other time but it seemed different somehow.

The golden energy went everywhere in the form of electricity knocking out the lights leaving Delta in the dark.

Narrowing his eyes Delta snuck through the darkness down the empty halls of BC Sol.
