As the trio launched onto the ground the sheer, raw power knocked everyone back a little causing Free to plant his feet deeper into the ground, Sasha however was knocked backwards into the ground.

Immediately, not holding back Fafnir and Luinor clashed with Amaterios in the center of the ground, a blinding light escaped from the beys and shot into the air blinding Sasha. Lighting lit up the room along with the wind causing the beys to be knocked back.

When the dust settled Free looked around for any signs of Amaterios, the bey came flying through the dust cloud out of nowhere glowing a deep purple clashing into Fafnir pushing it back.

Free looked up at Theodore in anger causing Theodore's smile to widen even more at the sight of Free struggling.

But Luinor clashed with Amaterios, knocking it backwards back to Theodore.

Theodore narrowed his eyes in anger, re-focusing back onto the battle.

Amaterios circled back to the battle picking up the winds making it float above the ground, using this to its advantage it soared into the air effortlessly creating a tornado to sustain its height.

"I can thank your friends Kit and Rantaro for teaching me that one."

Unable to stay on the ground, Luinor then Fafnir got caught up in the tornado.

"Enough."

Fafnir started glowing and leveled out circling into the center riding the wind up to Amaterios knocking it out of the eye of the storm.

Amaterios was knocked into the wall but came back down effortlessly while Fafnir and Luinor stayed near each other as they too gilded back down.

"You'll never beat me, I am your savior, your God! How dare you think you can out best me."

Spinning even faster in the middle right as Fafnir and Luinor were about to attack, Amaterios vanished along with the room. Free tried to reach out to Lui but instead found himself alone in the darkness. He closed his eyes trying to reach out to Fafnir but it was too thick for him to feel.

"I thought you were smarter than this Free."

The scenery changed again to BC Sol

Free stood up and looked out, in the distance the gym could barely be seen along with the dorms.

"Isn't it beautiful?" Kris said, looking up at him with a smile.

"No..."

Free took another step back and in an instant BC Sol was on fire.

"You did this Free, giving up easily on your home, now you'll see it all go down in flames."

Free fell to his knees and shouted up at the sky

"Stop hiding Theodore!"

Theodore stepped into the illusion, his eyes were no longer glowing and his resonance was gone.

Free stood up and narrowed his eyes running towards Theodore when he got close enough he punched but it went through his head causing Free to fall down. When he recovered he was back in the Snake Pit but wasn't wearing the same outfit.

Instead looking down he was in his old Snake Pit outfit.

"You could've easily walked away that day Free, but now you will join me Free, just like everyone else."

Now looking down on Theodore's army the rest of his group was in there along with Shu's

Free turned around where Theodore and Brown Eye were standing, Shu was on the floor beside them. Cautiously walking over Free tried to wake him up but instead backed away horrified at what Theodore did.

"You killed him!"

Free tried to punch him again but instead hit the wall, his power glitched and his eyes stopped glowing.

"You try to act like you're so grown up, but I don't think you know what's real anymore."

The scene changed but this time with him behind bars.

Free gripped the bars but instead fell through landing back in BC Sol in the forest, but unlike Spain's usual beautiful weather the trees were all dead and thorny.

But in the distance Free could see Valt looking up at the old treehouse.

"Valt!"

But as Free tried to run he was instead being slowly turned to stone, Theodore looked back at him with a snake by his side. When the stone covered his face Free opened his eyes back on BC Sol.

But Valt was now sitting next to him looking out onto the sunset.

"If you were really powerful enough as you claim, you could've saved him."

Then Theodore appeared out of nowhere wrapping his dark resonance around Valt, putting out the life and light in his eyes.

"But now it's.."

The illusion stopped and Theodore fell to his knees with his eyes widened. He fell to the ground with Valt and Shu standing behind him along with Kris and her guys searching the room.

The room lightened from Theodore's dark energy and a joyous feeling replaced the despair.

"Valt?" Looking over at Valt, the dark energy was gone.

"Free!"

Running over to Free, Valt gave him a big hug. Then it was Kris's turn as she
came over and gave him a hug.

"Kris?"

"What's going on? Kris let go of me."

Looking over his shoulder something was wrong and the more he tried to move from her grip the more it tightened.

Laughter chilled Free to the bone and the happy scene faded with Theodore and Free in grayscale.

Theodore's resonance was choking Free from afar and he smiled as Free struggled.

Luinor however, came out of nowhere and clashed with Theodore's bey ending the grayscale causing his power to subside.

Free looked around at how much the scene had changed, cracks were now running up along the walls and Sasha was knocked out with rubble and destruction all over the place.

"You can't fool me Theodore!" Lui yelled as Luinor clashed with Amaterios.

Fafnir recovered, getting back into the battle, but Free still wasn't sure on whether or not this was an illusion still. Regardless Luinor was holding down Amaterios and he saw his chance.

"Go, now Fafnir!"

Glowing golden, Fafnir raced towards Amaterios and collided with it stealing its power, with each spin rotation Amaterios lost power and Free gained it causing his resonance to get bigger and Theodore's to get smaller.

Free smiled at the power transfer as Theodore looked angry but then pain was everywhere and Free fell to his knees as Theodore stood up even stronger than before.

"You will be food for Amaterios." he said in a voice that didn't sound like his own.

Fafnir tried to attack Amaterios from below but instead was knocked back as Luinor came in for the attack.

But at the last second Amaterios changed directions causing Luinor and Fafnir to collide with Amaterios crushing Fafnir.

"Get out of there Free he's wearing down the rubber!"

Somehow Fafnir was able to absorb the power from Luinor and Amaterios and came out flying from the clash glowing golden with Luinor following from behind.

"You have to work together!" Sasha yelled, brushing off the debris alongside Norman.

As the beys all collided again Free was knocked back by the power along with Sasha and Free causing the escaped lighting and power to rock the building.

Free re-focused back onto the battle as the beys disappeared from his vision and were now replaced with the real beastly versions of their beys. The commands vanished into the air as Amaterios slashed both dragons viciously and violently, not stopping.

Fafnir was knocked backwards and the beasts disappeared

"For once she's right." Lui said.

Free turned to him but Lui didn't look at him.

"You better not mess this up,"

Fafnir and Luinor retreated back to their owners along with Amaterios to Theodore.

"Theodore hasn't been using his full power which means we do too but together." Lui counitined watching as Amaterios rose up out of its metal form angry while Theodore watched silently with his power darkening the room more than when they entered.

Free nodded his head as the beys spiraled against each other letting their resonance swirl and mix into an orange resonance.

Sasha narrowed her eyes at the scene, suddenly understanding, the orange resonance wasn't some new power from Valt but instead it was them drawing power from each other. Similar to how the others were trying to reach out to Valt when they attacked Toko.

If they could just do the same for Valt then they could just bring him back!

Slowly getting up she made a break for the door, she closed her hand around it but opened the door to Theodore standing in the entryway. The battle behind her disappeared but his power was glitching and Sasha could barely see Free and Lui through the cracks.

Theodore looked back at the battle angry but stumbled to his knees feeling his dark power rejecting the orange leaving himself.

"No!"

The illusion of Theodore faded and Sasha ran down the hallway along with Norman.

Amaterios was starting to bend at the pressure and the great god disappeared.

But Free and Lui kept pushing on Amaterios.

Free's smile grew along with Lui's as they could feel the dark power surrounding the room starting to fade.

Then out of nowhere another bey joined the fight and collided with the other three, a tainted rainbow of light blinded everyone causing the glass to break and everyone to be blown away by the wind and smoke.

Lui was pushed backwards into the wall and was knocked out but Free instead had to endure more rumble crushing him.

When the light disappeared Fafnir and Luinor lay discarded on the ground with Fafnir's rubber almost gone and Luinor housing a few cracks from the battle. Amaterios had also stopped spinning as Thedore grabbed his bey.

He stood up brushing the debris off of him only to come face to face with the bey that had saved him.

Spiraling in the center was a dragon and above it stood Drum crossing his arms at Theodore

"You're lucky I saved you with Dragon." he said, lowering Sasha and Norman's unconscious bodies on the ground.

Theodore stood but stumbled as Drum watched him emotionless awaiting orders.

"No," Sasha whispered.

Theodore and Drum glanced down at her but ignored her.

"Go and help the others I'll meet you down there." he said as Drum marched off back into the battle.

When he was gone Theodore dropped his strong confidence and instead slid down against some of the rubble in pain from the battle.

After a few minutes, once Theodore regulated his breathing and relaxed the pain enough he was able to get up and steal the rest of Free's power causing him to straighten up with confidence and power.

Theodore had been weakened from the fight and his dark power would take a while to recover but...

Picking up Fafnir he crushed it in his hand dropping the pieces next to a bleeding Free.

"We'll call that a tie for now Free, but I can't have either of you getting in my way again."

Standing up fully Theodore almost fell to his knees but got up struggling.

Before leaving he crushed Luinor with his boot and picked up Free dragging him to the other battle.

"And once you're corrupted then it'll be your turn to go in that pod." Theodore said as he descended down the stairs.
