Theodore Glass stood over his desk with his head lowered. Meanwhile behind him was Valt squirming uncomfortably in his seat.

There was a strange teal aura around him and a mad light in his eyes.

"Tell me Valt can you do this yet with your power?"

Turning back to Valt, Theodore held out his hand, making Valt stiffen up.

"You know if things were different, I think we could've gotten along..."

Theodore circled Valt like a shark Theodore moved his fingers making Valt stand up.

His heart was pounding, he tried to look out to his friends but the windows were dark.

"It's no use Valt nobody can help you now, if things were different I think you could've been my number one blader..."

Theodore stopped with his back on Valt.

"What are you going to do with me?" Valt asked fearfully.

"I think you already know that answer Valt..."

Turning back around his eyes were glowing teal and his aura was changing from teal to purple.

Everything went on a grayscale and Theodore's dark power surrounded Valt.

Valt desperately tried to reach out but Theodore was too strong.

Once Valt was gone consumed by his power the color returned and Valt was left on his hand and knees.

With one last glance at the office door Valt fell over losing consciousness.

The office door never did open and Kris never came.

"How do you feel, Brown Eye?"

Standing up Valt looked up at Theodore with dead brown eyes, there was no trace of golden power or happiness. Instead there was a dead expression on his face and no hope in his eyes.

Theodore started laughing a long wicked laugh. Slowly his laughter faded and Valt woke up.

It was just a dream? But it felt so real...

After eating breakfast and picking up Shu from the airport. The trio was now walking through the prison.

It was a dark place besides the fact that they were now walking through the basement.

Looking around it was a bleak place and Theodore's jail being in the basement part of the prison didn't help.

Unlike the other prisoners Theodore had been moved to solitary confinement to the basement. According to Kris it had to do with his "condition" whatever that meant.

But before seeing Theodore, Valt had overheard Kris talking to one of the prison wardens.

"He hasn't been sleeping or eating.....He's been mumbling random gibberish about great beasts and resonance.....At some points he'll be crying or screaming and his eyes will be glowing....He's not well Kris and he's hasn't been talking lately either.... He keeps mentioning someone...Brown Eye...."

So now Kris, Shu and Valt were venturing down to the darkest corner of the prison: Theodore's cell.

Stopping at the end of the hallway a single light was on flickering. The room was dead silent and a cold breeze emanated from his cell.

From the shadowy depths of the cell a figure emerged tall but weak. Theodore could barely be seen standing in the shadows.

"Kris, Shu and Valt to whom do I owe the pleasure of this visit?"

"Theodore, Taiga sent us and his regards." Kris said.

"Taiga....I was wondering when he was going to get involved in all this...." Theodore's voice was weak and he still remained in the shadows.

"What were you talking about when you were taken away?" Shu said, stepping in front of Kris.

Theodore quieted stepping back into the shadows.

"You mentioned something about an Eclipse?" Valt said speaking up. Kris and Shu were surprised and even Theodore stirred in his cell.

Stepping out of the shadows the light stopped flickering and now Theodore could fully be seen.

His hair was a mess and he wore an orange jumpsuit. But his eyes, there was a madness to them as they glowed. A teal resonance could barely be seen.

"Looks like you didn't sleep well Valt." Shu and Kris looked down at Valt but his fear was gone and was now replaced with something else.

"Says the guy who's tortured countless bladers and is now in jail." Valt replied.

"Quite the predicament you're in Valt, you may have defeated Phi but a greater evil still lurks. When the eclipse happens all will be lost. Now tell me has Brown Eye gotten to you yet?"

Theodore started laughing the same wicked laugh from Valt's dream.

It was all starting to come back to Valt what happened that day in Theodore's office. Horrified, Valt started backing away slowly from the cell.

Theodore only laughed more.

"Brown Eye?" Shu asked.

"What's wrong, Valt did I strike a nerve?"

"Valt, what's he talking about?" Shu said, turning to Valt.

"Nothing, probably just some Snake Pit blader or something." Valt said, backing away further from Theodore's cell. Kris and Shu followed while Theodore watched amusingly.

"I don't know Valt. I don't remember any Snake Pit bladers with the name Brown Eye..."

"It's probably just a former member or a friend of his..."

"Okay then but what are we going to do with Theodore?" Kris asked.

"Let me talk to him." Shu said, getting up.

But Valt already beat him and was walking over to his cell.

"Theodore...I won't let you get to me...not me or anyone else..."

"Don't you get it Valt? Phi wasn't corrupting those bladers; he was those bladers."

"What? But I thought..."

"Haven't you ever noticed Valt that stories are always written by the winners? Sure Phi's aura is corrupted which may have affected them all but they weren't actually gone, and perhaps he wanted you to think that but unlike them you soon will be Brown Eye."

"No, that won't happen again." Valt said, backing away a little. He was trying to remain strong but Theodore could see right through his little facade.

"I know you, Valt and I've seen this road taken by many bladers. I've seen what happens to them all and it'll happen to you."

"No, I know I can control this somehow.... I'll find a way..."

"Don't you get it, Valt there's no controlling something like this. There's no shortcuts, no way to save you now, and if you don't believe me then just think of your friend Aiger."

"It's only a matter of time before you're consumed by my power. Besides your friends can't help you on this one, sooner or later I'll break out of here with or without your help."

"No, I won't let it happen, not again I'll find a way to stop you."

"How can you stop me when your friends will be fighting you?"

Theodore started laughing and Valt backed away scared.

His eyes were filled with shadows even though his smile was bright.

"You took everything from me once I got here, I was forced to wait for my fate in a room full of other criminals. They say there's an evil that lurks down here but I think we both know the true evil down here, Brown Eye."

Valt gave Theodore one last look before walking away from his cell.

Going back over to Kris and Shu they peppered him with questions but Valt walked past them and the other empty cells.

"What did you say to him." Shu asked.

Theodore only laughed.

"And Valt?"

Valt stopped at the base of the stairs leading down to the basement.

"It's cute that you still think you can win, you're playing the hero so well but I've got news for you, you've already lost."

Theodore started laughing even harder, his eyes started glowing and his teal aura was starting to build up.

"What are you up to Theodore?" Shu asked.

Theodore's aura died down a little along with his laugh but there was a new light in his eyes as he was seeing Shu for the first time since he got there.

"I am you bladers, I am the madness lurking within you all begging to be free. With every moment I am trapped in your darkest thoughts. I am what you fear the most when you are corrupted."

The lights went out and the room darkened, the only light illuminated from Theodore.

He only laughed harder at everyones reactions.

"He's lost it," Kris said quietly.

"I know he was bad but I didn't think it was this bad...."

"I think it's time to go, we don't need to see this anymore." Shu grabbed Kris's hand pulling her away from his cell.

Theodore's laughing died down and he retreated further into his cell back into the shadows.

"I had strings but now I'm free."
