Episode 35

From across the room Theodore watched every second of Brown Eye not daring to take his eyes off of him or even a second.

For a while now Theodore had always known the eclipse would cause a power surge making some weaker, stronger, and some out of control but this was not at all part of the plan. Turning to the window the moon was almost in place and the effects were already taking place.

He could practically feel the power in the room that if he wanted to he could steal it all from himself but instead he waited marking his escape route but in order to escape he would also need Brown Eye for the next phase of his plan.

Standing in the center of the room both Shu and Brown Eye faced each other wearing opposing looks. Shu was trying to remain calm and do the same thing for his power while Brown Eye on the other hand was the opposite.

His eyes were glowing a vibrant blue and his dark blue resonance could be seen behind him this time very clearly unlike the previous times. The dark knight could also be seen behind him but more visible and tangent.

Shu's eyes widened at the sight of his power, for Shu he had always known Valt was powerful especially since he used to be number one but Shu had never seen this kind of power from Valt ever. It was both breathtaking and beautiful but at the same time he knew it was dangerous.

"I hate you! I've always hated you!"

For a second a look of hurt cut across Shu's face but he hid it trying to face his best friend with as much determination and courage as he could.

"Valt it's the power talking! Please try to remember..."

"It was all your fault for leaving me for leaving us. You could've escaped, called, or even visited but you left us because all you care about is yourself. Do you know what Theodore did to me? Do you know what torture I've been through?  I hated that basement, I hated every second being down there."

"The basement? But there is no basement..." Shu said, confused.

"There are bladers down there Shu, bladers who are way past gone and way past Phi's power."

"Past gone? But we freed everyone please. Valt we can fix this...."

"That's where you're wrong. Now give me the mask!"

"No this mask is evil, why can't you see that Valt he's using you just like he used me! Please I know we can fix your corruption..."

"Then where were you when I ran away, where were you when Free let me leave and where were you when I was scared and alone. You can barely even look at me right now,"

The words cut like razor blades to Shu.

"Why can't you get it through your head that I'm corrupted! If you were corrupted and knew what was going to happen to you would you want your friends to see what you become? Would you want that. Would you want them to see the monster you've become?"

Brown Eyes power ligthened causing Shu to put his hand up to his face, a crater cracked underneath Brown Eye causing the floor boards to bend and snap. The cracks ran along the wall and pillars etched in blue power. The wind started howling from the broken windows causing all the debris from the battle to go flying everywhere causing everyone to panic.

Many bladers from BC Sol were now running around and chaos had taken over the gym. But Shu remained where he stood watching Valt with both a sad and scared expression.

"Keep it, you already know who I am."

Turning his back to Shu he walked through the fog back to Theodore who was waiting for him at the exit. He looked angry and his power could barely be seen but didn't say a word as Brown Eye walked past him.

"That wasn't necessary Brown Eye,"

Brown Eye stirred with his back still facing Theodore.

"Veering from the plan like that, leaving your mask..."

Brown Eye still stood not saying a word. Theodore's power lightened.

"But nevertheless we'll deal with them later but for right now we have more pressing matters to attend to but first..."

Signalling to the army outside they came running past Theodore and Brown Eye in fighting and grabbing BC Sol's bladers causing even more chaos and power to erupt from the gym.

Walking outside, Theodore and Brown Eye cut through the madness and chaos. All over BC Sol bladers were fighting each other and some were even on the ground being taken away by Theodore forces.

As much as expanding the Snake Pit was important to Theodore overall, gaining control of BC Sol's bladers wasn't that important but what lay in the heart of BC Sol was the most important.

Opening one of the outside exits Theodore and Brown Eye ducked, evaded and walked by bladers struggling to win against Theodore's forces.

"Valt!"

Turning around, Cuza stood facing a Snake Pit blader struggling against his overwhelming power.

"Valt please..." he said with tears running down his face.

Brown Eye remained but Theodore stopped looking at the scene.

"C'mon Brown Eye," he said, turning back down the hallway.

"They'll all soon be joining us at the Snake Pit anyways." He said dismissing Cuza by waving his hand behind him.

Brown Eye followed, ignoring Cuza's pleas, cries for help and his screams of pain.

From then on any blader that Brown Eye and Theodore walked past they ignored until they reached their destination.

Opening the door, the office was empty and eerily quiet. Brown Eye remained at the door frame as Theodore walked in looking around.

He rummaged through the shelves pulling things apart and throwing stuff on the ground.

It didn't matter he owned the place now and if he wanted to make a mess then he could just order someone else to clean or take care of it.

Sitting down in her chair he picked apart her desk looking through office supplies, papers, tournament schedules and books.

Getting frustrated he threw some of the items off her desk.

Finally something caught his eye, on the desk many trinkets, thank you cards, and office supplies covered the surface but off to the side a little glass container held a bey.

Theodore's frustration melted into a smile.

"Hiding in plain sight, good job Kris..."

Taking the glass container he crushed it in his hand. Brushing away the pieces the bey remained in his hand resonating with dark power.

"But not good enough..."

His eyes glowed teal feeling the power and his resonance flickered on for a second.

Turning to Brown Eye his smile deflated into a formal manner and serious expression.

"In time Brown Eye, my apprentice, you'll be able to master Phi's power from my teachings and be able to control our army and corrupt bladers. But first..."

Turning back to the bey his evil smile returned.

"I'm due for an upgrade."

Starting down at Phoenix his laughter filled the office haunting BC Sol with his presence.
