Standing up with newfound determination and anger he looked at Brown Eye as he caught his own bey.

"So that's what you're up to." he said quietly, almost with a hint of sadness.

Holding out his launcher Brown Eye had done the same.

"3...2...1...Let it Rip!"

This time, Shu knew exactly what was going on and Spryzen immediately started attacking Valtryek, turning the tables, catching Brown Eye off guard.

He smiled using this to his advantage.

Spryzen attacked may not have been as fast, accurate or even consistent as Valtryek's newly close ranged repetitive attacks but he smiled that they were at least able to catch him off guard. For Shu this battle wasn't at all about winning in fact he only agreed to it just to have the chance to try and get through to Valt.

"You need to stop this now Valt! I know what you're up to but we both know you would never do something like that!"

Brown Eye kept his head down, focused on the battle.

"You need to remember Valt, you're not Phi or Brown Eye, you're my friend."

In the center Valtryek wavered and started speeding along the outside rim, Shu watched not sure what Brown Eye was up to. He wasn't attacking but he wasn't answering either, it almost seemed like he was thinking. Spryzen tried to catch up but was too slow to the point where Valtryek was able to lap Spryzen.

Spryzen started wobbling causing Shu to worry, its stamina was starting to wear out and soon the battle would be over. But before that would happen he was going to give it everything he had left.

Meanwhile on the other side of the stadium Theodore had leaned down into Brown Eyes' ear.

"Do it now, unless you want to go back into that basement..."

"Yes, Master."

The air intensified as Valtryek came into the center attacking the wobbling Spryzen, Spryzen tried to attack but each time Valtryek was ready and had managed to dodge attacking double the amount.

Behind Shu, Sasha walked over between both boys and held out her launcher, both of them turned their attention to her surprise at this new development.

"Don't Sasha if you do this the deal will be broken and I'll lose my chance."

Sasha looked at him with sadness because deep down she knew what he was really saying so she backed away. In the stadium Valtryek attacked more and more.

"This ends now."

The dark power manifested this time more making Valtryek glow even more, Spryzen did the same but this time as Valtryek attacked it pushed back almost making it touch the wall.

Taking in a deep breath Spryzen rode the slope of the stadium and came down on Valtryek speeding down almost as fast as Valtryek.

Colliding the power was almost too much, causing many of the BC Sol bladers and Theodore to go flying back from the wind, lighting and power. The glass broke creating a vortex of broken glass, lighting and power. The lights broke too and the power went out causing the glow of their power to be the only light.

They both yelled determined to win but for different reasons, in the stadium the beys were lost among the chaos and cloud of destruction but what everyone could see was their resonance pushing on each other struggling for dominance in the battle. One side was red while the other was dark blue.

They both pushed on each other making the power go one way or the other but eventually the red power wavered and disappeared at the same time the blue one did. In the center the beys became more clear but only their outlines could be seen.

Shu covered his eyes with his hand trying to see what was going on through the wind and glass.

Eventually one of the beys managed to go through the other one into the air breaking it into pieces. The wind died down and Valtryek could be seen in the center still spinning with the dark power surrounding it.

Beside Shu, the broken pieces of Spryzen lay at his feet. Almost from the beginning he had seen this coming knowing that this outcome was what Brown Eye had been working towards the whole time. But he did gain from the battle that Valt was still in there and he wasn't a lost cause.

Grabbing the pieces of Spryzen Shu looked to the other side of the stadium to see Brown Eyes mask on the floor beside his own feet. The whole room was silent creating a quiet atmosphere in the gym causing Theodore who started backing away along with Delta.

Brown Eye looked over at Shu with an angered expression, his eyes were still glowing blue but they were full of anger and power causing Shu to step back in fear.

"Give me the mask Shu," he said in a voice that didn't sound like his. His voice reminded Shu of Phi's deep and demonic back in his power hungry days.

Shu took another step back again but said nothing.

"I said give me the mask!"

Narrowing his eyes, Shu's fiery resonance started the form.

"No." he said firmly and with a hint of sadness.

Shu saw something on Brown Eye's  face that he'd never thought he would see: anger and a thrust for power. There was no happiness or a smile and instead there was an angry and frustrated glare. During the battle Brown Eye had been almost too silent but now Shu almost preferred that. This wasn't his friend, no, this was a sick and twisted version of Valt in Theodore's eyes. And he hated Theodore for what he did.

Shu tried to form words but he couldn't find the strength to even talk. Nobody could, even Theodore did nothing to try and stop him. So swallowing his fear he tried to reach out to his friend again.

"Valt, I know you, and I know you wouldn't do something like this please..."

Taking a step closer to Brown Eye, he didn't say a word as if he was in his own little world.

"Maybe you don't know me as well as you think." he said quietly.

Shu was taken aback at those words realizing those were the same words Theodore had said to Valt.

"Get out of the way Shu." he said in a voice that didn't sound like him.

"Valt..."

Shu reached out a hand only to have it slapped away.

"I said GIVE ME BACK THE MASK!"

"No! I won't let this happen to you, Valt!"

There was an uncertainty in his eyes for a second but then it was replaced with a angry glare.

"I'm not Valt!"

"You and I both know that's not what this is about Valt, this is not the way. If you put that mask back on you're crossing a line there's no coming back from."

"Disappear." Brown Eye said quietly.

Shu took a closer step and managed to put his hand on Brown Eyes' shoulder.

"You're all in my way! Disappear just disappear, disappear from my sight!"

Shu tentatively took his hand off of Brown Eye's shoulder.

"You will all fear me, Valt as you know him is gone."

Shu's eyes widened thinking back of the day when he had snapped at Valt after battling Lui.

Brown Eye started laughing.

"YoU wiLL All giVE In."

And that's when everything turned crazy.
