Before coming to BC Sol Brown Eye had barely managed to escape the tunnel with his life.

His Snake Pit attire had been torn up and he was mentally and physically exhausted. But throwing him in the deep end did help him manipulate their resonance to escape; however, it didn't help Brown Eye learn to corrupt other bladers.

But after resting and finding Brown Eye a new outfit Theodore had assured him this was only the first part of the test if he was truly going to reach his potential with this power. And become Theodore's next Phi.

But what Theodore had failed to mention was what the other parts of the test were. But he did say one of them was today.

For the beginning Theodore predicted and claimed he knew Shu would ultimately pick Brown Eye to battle so it wasn't much of a suprise when Brown Eye stopped in front of the stadium.

On the opposite side stood Shu trying to keep it together. Behind him was BC Sol wearing worried or solemn faces.

Meanwhile Theodore stood behind Brown Eye smiling. But Shu knew however that his army was still outside waiting for Theodore's or Brown Eyes command.

Brown Eye's power manifested creating the same dark blue force around him from earlier, making the brown eye holes of the mask glow and the wind pick up. Holding out his own launcher he smiled evilly making Nika gasp and Sasha's eyes widened with fear.

Shu only narrowed his eyes, summoning his own power and held out his launcher. Resonance began to form around him except in fiery red. Spryzen stood behind him awaiting his command, while on the other side Theodore stood behind Valt reminding everyone he was the one really in control.

"This'll be a two point battle, whichever gets two points first then the battle will be over."

"Yes, Master."

Shu nodded his head and focused his attention on the stadium.

"3...2...1...Let it Rip!"

Spryzen immediately raced to the center only to have Valtryek knock it out of the way and start chasing it. Shu gritted his teeth in anger and clenched his fists. Theodore smiled knowing what an opportunity this would've been to turn Shu but instead he watched.

For Theodore this battle was an opportunity to see how well Brown Eye would be able to hold up considering Theodore himself had never corrupted any blader before and as much as he wanted to turn Shu he was going to have wait, Phi had always taught Theodore that turning a blader when they're angry is easier but for the sake of the situation Theodore was going to have to play the waiting game. Brown Eye was strong, Theodore would give him that but what he lacked was the drive Phi had and now was the time he was going to prove it.

Valtryek relentlessly attacked Spryzen not daring to back down, it's speed and attacks had increased drastically to the point where Free almost thought he should intervene but instead he decided against it.

Attack after attack Spryzen was being pushed to the edge and soon the battle would be over, he knew he had another chance but there was no way he was going to waste this one. Looking for his opening, Spryzen dodged at the last second making Valtryek fly out of the stadium.

Shu smilied back at BC Sol and many of them gave him smiles and nods back. Turning back to the stadium he caught Spryzen with confidence. Meanwhile on the other side Brown Eye was eerily quiet as he picked up Valtryek.

Angry, Theodore was about to say something to Brown Eye but before he could the dark power started to surround the bey and Theodore eyes widened along with Shu's.

Holding out his launcher, Shu did the same knowing the battle he was actually going to get to see the full extent of Brown Eye's power.

Narrowing his eyes he summoned up his own power while Brown Eye did too but his wasn't as refined or shaped as Shu's instead it had a darker tint of blue to it.

"3...2...1...Let it Rip!"

Unlike the last time Valtryek clashed with Spryzen right at the beginning, an explosion of Red and Blue power burst from the stadium. The wind pushed back some of BC Sol's bladers but most of them managed to get footing and remain entranced in the battle.

Valtryek threw attack after attack overwhelming both Spryzen and Shu essentially trapping Spryzen in the center but Shu was smarter than that. Watching for the opening, Spryzen managed to escape, sending Valtryek into the wall speeding back down towards Spryzen. At the last second Spryzen managed to dodge over and over making Valtryek collide more and more into the walls.

On the other side of the stadium Brown Eye gritted his teeth with anger and hatred as Theodore leaned down into his ear.

"Do it now."

"No."

In anger Valtryek started chasing Spryzen only to have Spryzen dodge it everytime, each dodge Brown Eyes power increased a little more, the eye holes of the mask started glowing, and his misshapen resonance wavered.

Theodores eyes widened, he knew exactly what was coming next, this was the same thing that had happened when he battled Valt.

Yelling in frustration the dark power exploded from Valtryek soaring into the air over to Brown Eye as he yelled in both pain and in frustration. Looking back up at Shu he laughed, his dark blue resonance was now glowing as the same color of his bey. Valtryek sped towards Spryzen at an incredible speed this time expecting the dodge and changing its trajectory at the last second.

"Dark Move: Venging Strike Launch."

Colliding with Spryzen, Spryzen flew through the air hitting one of the pillars in the gym. Running over to the pillar Shu picked up Spryzen examining it to make sure there weren't any cracks or anything. Narrowing his eyes he then realized what Brown Eye was trying to do.
