Slowly waking up, Valt realized he had slept in his Snake Pit outfit reminding him he was still stuck in this nightmarish place.

But he was feeling a lot better except he was a little sore in his arms and legs.

Sitting up, his mask stared at him from the opposite side of his bed as a distant reminder of what he could become at any minute.

Theodore was getting impatient and soon Valt's time would be up permanently. Which was why he needed to figure out a way to escape.

But before he could take in his surroundings to try and create an escape route the door opened to reveal Theodore.

Immediately, Valt noticed that the room he was in right now didn't have a lock on the door. While Theodore's office did have one. Valt would never be able to lock out Theodore but Theodore did always have that option.

"How long have I been out?" Valt asked, looking away from Theodore.

"Almost two days." He replied.

"Two days?" Valt whispered to himself.

"But that's not why I'm in here,"opening the door further he walked and out into the hallway making sure Valt was following him from behind.

Now that Valt was awake, it was time to test his theories about his powers, it was time to see what power was hidden behind those innocent eyes.

Walking down the hallway, Valt kept his eyes on the ground not daring or wanting to look up at any of the Snake Pit bladers, they all seemed to be off in their own little world, but if he was going to escape he needed to find a way out.

So looking around, he tried to think of any possibilities but nothing seemed realistic enough, but in a sad little way he realized that maybe in a way he did fit in. Like them, he had been in his own little world trying to battle Theodore and had snapped at anyone who had gotten in his way.

Opening the office door a stadium was in the center as Theodore went to one side and Valt stood at the opposite end.

"Now then, before we begin I'd like to propose a deal with you."

Theodore's eyes started glowing purple instead of their usual teal and his resonance did the same, Valt instantly knew Theodore was going to take this battle seriously.

"If you win you're free to leave and go back to BC Sol but just know that they'll be my next target after this battle but if I win then you'll stay here and join me whether you want to or not."

Valt was silent considering the possibilities, he had never battled Theodore before so he didn't know how strong he was but considering he's a blader and bey trainer he must know more than he lets on. But even if Valt did manage to win and escape he was only going to come after BC Sol next which just meant he couldn't afford to lose.

"I accept."

Holding out his launcher Theodore did the same wearing a cruel smile, meanwhile Valt called upon his power. His eyes started glowing a determined blue and so did his resonance. Valtryek could barely be seen behind him but Amaterios on the other hand looked like a shadow of its former self somehow.

"3...2...1...Let it Rip!"

Valtryek immediately started speeding around the stadium gaining power while Amaterios sat in the center waiting for its prey. A purple aura started glowing around the bey and the god rose behind Theodore awaiting his command.

Meanwhile Valt looked up at Theodore.

"What did you do to BC Sol? I saw Fubuki and Sasha on the floor, Kris was crying, and there were broken pieces of Achilles."

Theodore smiled cruelly savoring the previous moment of pure terror on their faces, they were so confident in getting their friend back only to have their spirits crushed in a matter of seconds.

"Why go after them when it seems like you've already destroyed their confidence?"

"They all got what they deserved for trespassing and besides BC Sol is only one of my new properties, along with the WBBA." he smiled darkly.

Valt's eyes widened in horror, even if he did escape and manage to warn everyone he wouldn't be safe anywhere, not when Theodore had the power to take over or buy out everything.

But the thing that bothered Valt the most was how calmly vile he was whenever he spoke of his cruelty casually as if they were having a normal everyday conversation.

With Valt distracted, Amaterios started surrounding Valtryek but summoning up his power Valtryek broke through easily. Almost a little too easily, through the haze of the battle Amaterios came out of nowhere trying to land an attack but in the nick of time Valtryek was barely able to dodge.

"Perfect, just as I thought," he said to himself, smiling darkly.

This time it was Valtryek's turn to attack Amaterios in the center, Theodore watched silently and sternly but his power was still flaring bright serving as a warning. Right as Valtryek collided into Amaterios, Amaterios didn't budge but instead sent Valtryek flying to the other side where it recovered.

"Besides, why do you think Aiger got corrupted? Or Free went missing or Shu turned his back on you? It was never about Shu, Aiger, Fubuki or even Free, it was about perfecting the process. In the end, outside of my control they were just obstacles holding you back but I can make you stronger."

"No, they're just worried about me." Valt said back angrily.

Theodore smiled amused at how angry Valt had already gotten.

"Are they or are they afraid of holding you back,"

"Stop it."Valt growled.

"....afraid of your power,"

"Please..."

The dark power was rising and his blue resonance started to turn darker Theodore smiled even more amused.

"afraid of being corrupted like you." Theodore said, putting emphasis on the word you making it sound like they were afraid of him.

"No they aren't!" Valt said. The dark power grew even stronger but Theodore needed even more, he needed to see how far he could push him.

"Then why did they let you leave? I thought you already knew the answer to that question, Valt."

Opening his eyes the dark power had won and his eyes started glowing dark blue and so did his resonance.

"Now then let's see how powerful you really are."
