Anger, madness
Despair, sadness
All these emotions
No matter how hard I try I simply can't understand

Perhaps I'm just emotionless
Perhaps they care too much
Perhaps I can't see their suffering
Perhaps I just think I'm above

I remind myself each day
I'm not above, I'm not below
And yet thoughts like those still persist
I look down on others unintentionally
And I risk hurting those close to me
