Aromantic: Having little or no romantic feeling toward others, experiencing little or no romantic desire or attraction

Streets full of decorations
A chocolate display in each store
Pieces of paper with the words
"I love you"
In every shopper's bag

They say that the world was built for two
That love and marriage are the default for everyone
And when it isn't
It's considered a tragedy,
Something to mourn

However for me
I view it as something to be proud of
I needn't spend resources on a significant other
When I have good friends
And family too
Who to those I can say the words
"I love you"

It doesn't need to be romantic
(In some cases, I'd really hope not)
Friends, family and even pets
Have brightened my days
As much as any partner would

So from now on
Every Valentine's Day
I'll take the time to let them know
How much I care about all of them
