Part Ten ~ Sorry Love -

Ellie's POV -

I couldn't believe what I had just said, but it was all true, I was tired of being ignored and forgotten about all the time by someone who claimed to love me; but all he seemed to do was make me miserable and I couldn't stop myself from thinking about me and Nathan before everything went wrong.

"Aimee, do you want to meet someone new?" I asked her with a smile on my face, realising that I needed to talk to Nathan without her around.

"Who?" she asked shyly.

"It's a surprise, but you'll love him. Promise." I grinned at her, placing her on the floor and taking her hand in my own and gesturing for Nathan to lead the way for me to follow.

"Yeah. Who are we going to see?" Nathan asked with a slight chuckle.

"I don't care who, anyone one of the boys will do." I laughed back as Nathan grabbed my hand and pulled me through the corridor and out into the hotel lobby, managing to avoid being seen my anyone other than the receptionist who seemed confused about where we had just come from and how we got there in the first place.

Nathan continued to pull me through the hotel until we reached the lift, and he pushed some random button just as Aimee made it into the life and the doors shut behind her.

The only sound which was around us was the annoying lift music that always plays in the expensive hotels because, for some weird reason, they seem to think people want to hear crappy classical music when they're going from floor to floor - I'd rather have an awkward silence than the music they play to amuse you.

"Who are we going to see then?" I asked Nathan, stepping out of the lift and onto the carpet, Aimee following nervously behind me like she wasn't sure about this and didn't trust where I was taking her.

"Max and Jay. They're sharing a room over here, so she gets two for the price of one." Nathan laughed, knocking on the door and a very annoyed looking Jay appeared at the door, like he was going to punch someone.

"Now really isn't a good time Nathan." Jay snapped, only calming down when I stepped out from behind Nathan and smiled at him, assuring him that this wasn't a social visit and I just wanted to see him.

"Erm, hi, I was just wondering if you would minding watching Aimee for me, while I talked to Nathan?" I asked quietly, the shy little girl peaking out from behind my legs to see what was going on, although she quickly disappeared again when she saw Jay's face at the door.

"Who is it Jay and what do they want?" Max shouted, he too now appearing at the door, being taken aback slightly when he saw someone that wasn't Nathan's girlfriend stood beside him looking awkward and nervous; because that's exactly how I was feeling right now and there was no hiding that from either of the boys.

"Ellie just wanted to-"

"Wait? Ellie? As in the same Ellie that broke Nathan's heart when she walked out on him?" Max interrupted.

"Yeah. That's me. Hi." I said awkwardly.

"In that case, there's nothing we can do to help her. Sorry love." Max spoke sternly, making his point clear.

"Max, if you're not going to do for her, then do it for me. Please?" Nathan said, clearly wanting to talk to me as much as I wanted to talk to him; although he probably wanted to find out if I was serious about wanting him back or if I just said that as a spur of the moment thing.

"Why should we do anything to help her Nathan? Huh? Tell me that one." Max snapped, and I was beginning to regret even asking if there was anyone who could watch her while me and Nathan had a proper conversation about this, without small ears listening in to see what she could report back to James when we got back home.

"I just need to talk to her. Please do this one thing for me?" Nathan practically begged him, and it made me feel even worse than I already did about this whole situation.

"Fine. But don't ask me to do anything else for the rest of the time we're here." Max spat in my direction before he vanished back into the room and allowed Jay to find out what the favour was.

"What is it you want us to do then?" Jay asked.

"I just need you to watch Aimee for me while we have a conversation. Do you mind?" Nathan asked cautiously.

"Erm, I don't think that will be a problem. How long are you going to be?" Jay questioned, almost like there was somewhere else he needed to be and he didn't want to miss going there.

"I'm not sure, but it shouldn't be long." Nathan replied with a thankful grin on his face.

"She won't be any trouble, and if you can get a conversation out of her, then I'll give you a tenner." I joked, knowing she would probably spend her entire time not looking at either Max or Jay, and she would ignore all their attempts to talk to her; unless they were really lucky and did manage to actually get something out of her.

"I'll hold you to that then." Jay laughed back at me as I pulled Aimee out from behind my leg, forcing her to make some form of eye contact with the raggy haired monster that was stood in the doorway, staring at her like he was going to do something to her.

"I don't like him mummy." Aimee said.

"It's fine, not many people do like him." I joked and she smiled at me, stepping out from behind my leg for long enough to see that he wasn't as bad as she first thought.

"Does he always look like that?" Aimee laughed.

"Yeah. He's not that bad, and neither is Max." I laughed, earning a smile from Jay as he put his hand out for her to take and show she could trust him.

"You'll love them. Trust me." Nathan smiled.

"We won't be long. And thanks Jay." I said as both me and Nathan walked away from the hotel room, leaving Aimee with someone that she had never even met before for the first time since I had met James.

I just hoped that she was going to be OK, and she wasn't going to be too bad around Jay and Max.
