With Friends Like These
"Come on! Come on!"
"Okay okay, but where are we going?"
"Hehe. you'll see."
Kong has been dragging Godzilla around the neighborhood, after figuring out that the latter lives close by. Prior to that, Godzilla have asked both Mothra and Ghidorah if he can leave. They agreed, with a few conditions:
1. Be back before 7:00 PM.
2. Don't talk to strangers.
3. Stay close to your friends and their guardian, if possible.
4. Try not to get into trouble.
After some running about, Kong introduces Godzilla their hangout spot.
Godzilla: Is that a...
Kong: Yep. A treehouse.
Godzilla: Since when you have the time to build that?
Kong: Dude, trees are everywhere. And besides, this was a pet project from my dad and now onto me. Come on! Let's go inside!
Godzilla: Okay.
Carefully, Godzilla stepped on the wooden stairs before climbing the ladders, in fear of falling down and possibly breaking something on the way.
Godzilla is surprised to find Hedorah and Spike already in the little hut playing some cards.
Hedorah: Any 3s?
Spike: Ah... Go fish.
Hedorah picked up a card from the deck and Spike asked her, "Any 4s?" Then Hedorah proceeded to give away some cards to Spike.
Kong: So. What do you think?
Godzilla: It's... Pretty spacious.
Kong: Come on man, don't tell me you're nervous or anything?
(Background) Spike: I win!
Godzilla: Yeah. It's uh...
Kong: Don't worry too much. Besides, us monsters have to stick together, right?
Godzilla: Right.
Kong: That's the spirit!
Hedorah and Spike goes towards Kong and Godzilla after their little game with a colorful butterfly landing on Hedorah's flower.
Hedorah: Hey you two.
Godzilla: Hi.
Kong: Remember him?
Spike: He's from school, right?
Hedorah: He is. It's nice to meet you up here, Godzilla.
Godzilla: Nice to meet you too.
An awkward silence fills the room with the gust of win blowing from the trees. And thus a single leaf fell on Spike's nose. Immediately, Spike sneezes that caused his friends to laugh at his misfortune.
Off in the distance, a drone flies overhead, watching the kids as they play together inside of their secret hiding spot. Eventually, it flies away as the children begins their next set of games to play.
Kong: Okay okay. Now, how familiar are you with guessing games?
Godzilla: That's to... Guess what it is right?
Spike: Oh, I love guessing games.
Hedorah: Kong. Remember the last time we did that?
Godzilla: What happened last time?
The three looked to each other for a moment as a sudden flashback of the last time they played a guessing game goes south real fast. They wished to not discuss about it, especially with Godzilla's cluelessness.
Kong/Spike/Hedorah: Nothing.
Godzilla: Okay.
Whilst the children are doing their respective hobbies, a large man, wearing a green coat, with green armor bits partially covering his skin as he heard the laughs and scream from the children's hideout. He let out a silent chuckle before leaving the area.
Godzilla thinks of something in his head for a bit then he gets an idea. Afterwards, he tells his friends to ask him some questions.
Hedorah: Is this an object?
Godzilla: No
Kong: Is it an animal?
Godzilla: Yes.
Spike: Mythological or real?
Godzilla: Myth.
Hedorah: Is it two animals combined?
Kong: Are you sure?
Hedorah: I'm thinking about it.
Godzilla: Uhm... I dunno if this counts as two animals, but technically yes.
Hedorah: Technically?
Kong: My turn! Uhmm... Ooh, is it a Gryphon?
Godzilla: No. Sorry.
Kong: Man.
Spike: Don't worry, you'll get your chance. Is this mythological animal related to you?
Godzilla: I mean. Yeah. Yes, I meant to say Yes.
Hedorah puts a hand rubbing her chin, Kong scratches his head and Spike looks up to the ceiling as they try to think of more questions or an answer. Hedorah gave her answer: "Is it a dragon?"
Godzilla smiled and confirmed Hedorah's answer, "Yes!"
Kong: Yay. It was getting a bit stale anyways.
Spike: I like it!
Hedorah: At least it's a good introduction for Godzilla to be with us.
Godzilla: Thank you for inviting me, Kong
Kong: Anytime. Oh that reminds me: Mom is making us some snacks.
Spike: Mmm... Snacks.
Godzilla: Mom... Heh.
Godzilla looks down for a moment. He looked to his hands as a sudden memory brought him back to when the house was on fire, with his mother in it. He wanted to save her. He tried to save her. But, he can't. He wasn't brave enough to make that decision. So he ran as far away as possible. He remembers being on the streets, crying his pain away and his only source of food were the various samples being presented outside of some vendors.
From outside of Godzilla's mind, his friends saw tears dripping from his eyes - they are now more than worried about him. Kong's mother came up to see what has been happening, only to gasp upon seeing Godzilla. She use one of her arms to shake Godzilla out from state and back into the present.
Kong: Dude, are you okay?
Godzilla: I - I'm sorry. It's just that... Well, I lost my mother in a fire.
Kong: What about that Yellow dragon lady and the moth woman?
Kong's Mom: Kong, I think that's a bit rude of you to say that.
Kong: Sorry, Mom.
Kong's Mom: Now then. Dear, don't you worry. Besides, you now have friends with each other.
Godzilla: Okay. Thank you, Miss.
Kong's Mom: Anytime.
After Kong's Mom has left the kids treehouse, Godzilla's Friends comes towards the lizard to comfort him.
Kong: Just like what mom said, you have friends now. With us.
Spike: Yeah! And friends always be there for you!
Hedorah: Even in the hardest of times.
Godzilla's tears stops flowing as he hear words of comfort from his friends.
Godzilla: Thank you guys.
Hedorah: I think this is the best start any of us is going to get.
Kong: Exactly!
Spike: Yeah!
The children continued to play and talk till the time nearly strikes 7. With that, all of them left the treehouse and returned to their families.
Kong swings into his room using the nearby vines and landed on his cushioned bed. There he is greeted by his mother, who told him to go take a shower after a long day spending quality time with his friends.
Hedorah walked towards her house as she opens the door to be greeted by her loving mother. That can't be said the same towards her father, who is drunk on the couch. Regardless, she unpacked her things and do her homework.
Spike tunnels his way towards his home's garden, where water splashes onto him - cleaning any dirt on him, until he entered the chaotic household to his room.
Godzilla walk his way back to Mothra and Ghidorah's house. There he is greeted with the loving and warm smile of Mothra. She welcomes the little lizard into the household, where he is immediately picked up by Ghidorah to be spin around in a joys matter - before being hugged.
Ghidorah: How's your day, little buddy?
Godzilla: It's great!
Mothra: I'm glad you are making friends, Godzilla.
Godzilla: Thank you, Mothra-san.
Ghidorah sets down Godzilla, then tells him to take a shower...
Ghidorah: Unless, your not so hungry, little Goji.
Godzilla: Okay okay. I'm going.
Mothra: Don't forget to do your homework after dinner.
Godzilla: Okay.
Godzilla ran up the stairs into the room, whilst Mothra and Ghidorah giggled a bit.
Ghidorah: It's nice seeing him making friends.
Mothra: Indeed.
. . . . .
"Are you sure it is ready for another attempt?" The man screamed into the ever so calm Scientist, who beckons the man to stay calm. Then he tells him, "Sir. The government will be on our trail. I believe it is best we try to do this -"
"Do you think the Government gives a [Redacted]?!"
"Sir. Your mental levels are... Severe. You need rest in order to ensure that you are clear to give us orders."
"I'm the leader around here."
"Unfortunately, you're just the voice of a multitude of people. Might I suggest you let the others make the decisions and you rest. We cannot continue the operation, so long your sanity begin to rapidly decline."
"Hmm. If that's the case, then prepare me another brain of mine."
"Sir, may I remind you that this procedure might result in more catastrophic personalities. Due to your condition, it is best that you be in your most relaxed condition. Then we can proceed."
"Fine. Just do it."
"As you wish."
The Scientist left the man, who continue to gaze at the marvelous cyborg that his team made. A mix and combination of Flesh and Metal to form the ultimate killing machine.
Meanwhile, the scientist entered the meeting room, for he tells the staff about their leader's current condition: "If I may get your attention, I must inform you of our leader's recent condition. His behaviors are becoming erratic and he now demand another brain cloning procedure."
One of the women members said, "Then we must ensure that he is limited. Not like he is now to begin with."
The snicker replied, "Oh. But a mad man, would help us to make the craziest of plans. And then no one would expect it."
This bicker continued, until the closest board member to the Head Scientist whispers into his ear, "Abort the cloning. I fear his insomnia might as well tear down the thing he made so long ago." Nodding to the member, the scientist left the council room for the remaining council members to bicker and argue.
Scientist thought to himself, "For people who wanted the Kaiju gone, they sure have gone mad
Why would they be friends in the first place, if all they do is bicker constantly without fault whatsoever."
