Later after the match;

Danny and Ella are cuddling on the couch when Danny got a phone call from Southgate.

Danny: Hi, coach. How you're doing?

Southgate: Hi, Danny. I'm good. Great play just now by the way.

Danny: Thanks, coach.

Southgate: By the way, Danny. I called you this time is because I want to offer you a place in the national team in the next friendly match. Would you like to return to the national team?

Danny: Of course I am. I worked so hard this half season to take back my spot in the national team.

Southgate: Great. Then, I expecting you to report in to squad this Tuesday. I'll send the details later on.

Danny: Okay, coach. Thanks a lot.

Southgate: No problem. Anyway, I need to go now. See you this Tuesday.

Danny: Okay, coach. Bye.

Southgate: Bye.

Then, they hung up.

"Somebody just get his spot back" said Ella. Danny grinned.

"Yes, babe. I'm glad I finally get it" said Danny.

"So, when will you report in to the national team?" asked Ella.

"On Tuesday" replied Danny.

"I see. I'm really miss to see my favourite striker in the national team" said Ella. Danny just smirked before kissed Ella's forehead.

Few days later;

All players gathered around at the conference room at the hotel where they will be staying until their friendly match against Italy that weekend.

"Told you that you'll made it this time" said Sterling.

"You don't think you made it? It's so obvious though especially how did you performed after moved in to Manchester United" said Kane.

"We told him the same too" said Rashford.

"I just didn't want to get my hope too high" replied Danny.

"By the way, how's things with Ella?" asked Pickford causing everybody to give attention to Danny.

"Good" replied Danny.

"Just good? How is she on the bed?" asked Kane.

"Sorry, not answering private part. Next question, please" said Danny.

"Do you know about the biggest news in London?" asked Rice.

"Your ex-girlfriend caught Haller cheated on a woman for few night stands" replied Dier.

"Really? So, they're broke up now, huh?" asked Danny.

"Yup. She tried to ask all our friends in West Ham to help her to talk to you again but we're refused" replied Rice.

"Not only you boys actually. She even came to meet me and the rest of Spurs players that play for the national team to do so. I also heard from some Millwall players that she went to your cousin; Hariz and Xander too but both of them shoved her off" said Kane.

"Well, she deserved it anyway" replied Danny.

"Yeah. But, let her be though. The thing is now you're back with the national team and that's all matters" said Sterling. The rest just nodded. Later, Southgate came in to brief about everything from the training scheduled until the match day.

That weekend;

All England players arrived at Wembley for their first friendly match in 2020 as they will play against Italy. After puts on their training kits, all players make their way to the pitch for warming up session.

"It feels so great coming back here" said Danny.

"I know. Especially when we'll face a former king of world's football, Italy this time" replied Kane.

"That's true" said Danny.

Meanwhile in the spectators' seats;

"Finally, we can watch Danny back to play for England" said Toni.

"That's true. I've been waiting for so long now" said Helena.

"Not only you, actually. That's why even Becky and Ashley were here too" said Toni.

"There's no way we're let the chance to watch him return to the national team wasted" replied Charlotte.

"That's true. So, Toni. Is Stewart trying to bother Danny again?" asked Becky.

"Not in front of me, of course. I'm not sure if she tried behind my back" replied Toni.

"Make sure she never did such. Let Danny be happy with Ella" said Charlotte.

The match begins with Italy kicked off the first half.

10th minutes of the match;

Izzo with the ball. He then sent the ball to Aleksandar Pirlo. (*cough*cough* McKeku10) Pirlo then runs with the ball before found some space to send the ball through to Kyle O'Hara. Kyle then shoots the ball towards the goal but Pickford punched the ball away before Maguire clears it.

27th minutes of the match;

England with the throw-in. Chilwell throws the ball to Dier. Dier then sent the ball to Danny. Danny then runs with the ball until he nearly reached the goal line before crossed the ball into the penalty box for Kane to head the ball into the net to make it 1-0 for England.

"Their combination are good just like before" said Toni.

"Well, they understood each other so well after all" said Ella.

"That's true" said Helena.

35th minutes of the match;

The ball is with Oxlade-Chamberlain. He tried to send it to Sterling but Aleksandar Pirlo intercepts the pass before sent the ball long to Kyle O'Hara. Kyle then running through the England's defender until he reached the penalty box before shoots the ball passed through Pickford to score the equaliser for Italy.

"Kyle is so great" said Helena.

"Of course he is. That's why Kelley wants him to play for the US but Kyle chose Italy" replied Amanda.

"But USA already have Morgan and Pulisic, right?" asked Ella.

"Yup. But have many great strikers won't hurt" replied Helena.

"Uggh, I don't understand a thing that you girls are talking about" said Becky.

"Sorry" said Ella. Becky wrapped her arm around Ella's shoulder.

"It's okay, future sister in-law. I'm not mad at you" said Becky.

"What a great sister in-law you are" said Amanda.

"Yeah. Meanwhile, Toni is drooling while staring at Pirlo Jr" said Helena. The rest just giggled.

45th minutes of the match;

England gets a freekick 21-metres from the goal. After the referee blew his whistle, Danny kicked the ball with a perfect curve shot. Donnarumma tried to make a save but failed as the ball make it into the net for England to take a lead once more.

"Oh, yeah little bro!" cried Becky.

"Uggh, here we go again" said Helena.

"Just bear with it, Helena" said Amanda.

"Just like Toni here?" asked Helena.

"Yeah. She's really in love, huh?" said Amanda.

"Yup" said Charlotte. Later on, the referee blew his whistle for the half time.

In the dressing room;

"Darn. These Italian boys are tough" said Dier.

"Well, they were chosen by Mancini after all. I don't expect less than this" replied Danny. Later on, Southgate came in to brief about his tactical for the 2nd half.

Later on;

All players already returned to their position on the pitch.

The match resumed with England kicked off the match.

67th minutes of the match;

The ball is with Aleksandar Pirlo. He then tried to send the ball to Bernardeschi but Rice intercepted the pass before sent it to Sterling. Sterling then runs with the ball before sent it to Kane while Kane quick pass the ball through to Danny then somehow was left unmarked. Danny then shoots the ball outside the penalty box. Donnarumma tried to make save but failed as the ball enters the net for England to wide the gap between the 2 teams.

"Oh, yeah Lion Trio. You 3 are the best" said Helena.

"Indeed they are. They really dominating the frontline" replied Ella. Later, Southgate takes out Danny and sent in Rashford.

87th minutes of the match;

Italy was awarded a corner. After the referee blew his whistle, Aleksandar Pirlo sent the ball into the penalty box. Pickford managed to punch the ball away but the ball went straight to Kyle O'Hara. Kyle sent the ball into the net with a bicycle kick to close the gap between the 2 teams. Few minutes later, the referee blew his whistle for the end of the match.

"Great match, Kyle" said Danny. Both Danny and Kyle used to play together in West Ham before Kyle returned to Lazio

"Thanks, Danny" replied Kyle.

"So, ever thought about coming back to Premier League?" asked Danny.

"Not for now. By the way, it seems that Pirlo Jr. is having crush with your cousin; Toni" replied Kyle.

"Tell him to ask her out then. And warn him to not breaking her heart" said Danny. Kyle chuckled.

"Okay, then. See you in Europa League semi-final" said Kyle. Danny just nodded.

Later that night;

Danny and Ella walked around London while holding hands.

"I miss walking around in London" said Danny.

"Why, is it because the memory you have with Courtney?" asked Ella.

"No. I started to play football in London. So, it's always a place where I consider as another home" replied Danny.

"I see" said Ella. Then, Danny saw Isla is nearby. Danny chose to ignore her but she blocked his way.

"What do you want?" asked Danny.

"I want to apologize to you. For everything" replied Isla.

"Okay. I'll forgive you" said Danny.

"Really?" asked Isla.

"Yes" replied Danny.

"Thanks. So, will you dump her and get back with me?" asked Isla. Danny and Ella looked at each other.

"Why must I do such thing?" asked Danny.

"Because I'll be better girlfriend than she is" replied Isla.

"Good. I hope you find a good boyfriend too. Ella and I are happy together" said Danny.

"But, you said you forgive me" said Isla.

"Yes. But that doesn't mean that I'll get back with you. Good luck in your life, Courtney" said Danny before he and Ella walked away.

"Unbelievable" said Ella.

"I know. Just wait when my sisters and cousins know about this" said Danny while sent a text message to all of them.
