Snowflakes

Dawn stared out the window, watching the snowflakes fall onto the ground peacefully.

"If every snowflake is whoville, then imagine all the whoville's outside!"

"Imagine what water is then." Damian walked from the kitchen into the living room where she was standing and handed her daughter some hot cocoa.

There was a silence for a second,  as Dawn sipped the hot cocoa thinking about it.

"Dad, why?" She laughed.

"Just sayin."

"Y'all ready for this?" Dawn's mother and Damian's beloved walked into room. "We're going skiing!" Lexie, or Lex as Damian calls her, was always filled with excitement.

"Yeah!" The 9-year old girl took after her mother.

The mother walked up smugly to the father. "Hey Damian."

"What?" He was painfully oblivious to look Lexie was giving him.

Suddenly, she shoved a snowball down his back and shouted,"Run, Dawn!" running outside.

The dad shivered as the daughter giggled.

"Didn't even give me time to get a jacket on."

They all prepared to get in the car.

Damian just wished he knew that was last time he was going to speak to them both.
