Leo stared at his reflection in the mirror and did his trademark smile. The smile that got girls to swoon. The smile that made everyone like him. The smile that hid all of his insecurities.
No one knew it, but Leo was very insecure. He was self-conscious and constantly worrying about what others thought of him. No one really understood.
Leo sighed and picked up his backpack. He was going to be late if he didn't hurry.

Leo was walking down the hallway when he accidentally bumped into someone, knocking a stack of papers out of their hand. "Sorry, I wasn't looking." Leo mumbled as he bent down to pick up the papers. Why am i so clumsy? He thought.
Then he saw who he had bumped into. It was Libra, the prettiest girl in their school and Leo's secret crush. "Its okay." She said softly, gathering her papers.
The two of them picked up all of the papers and continued on their way.
In Leo's science class, they were dissecting cow eyeballs. Gross.
All of the signs had paired up. Aries and Sagittarius, Gemini and Virgo, Cancer and Pisces, Capricorn and Taurus, and Scorpio and Aquarius were all paired up. The only one without a partner was Libra. Leo walked over and asked if she wanted to partner up. Libra agreed. Soon the two got their cow eyeball and were being shown by the teacher, Mr. Gorny, how to cut it up. Leo hesitently picked up the knife. "Do you want me to cut it?" Libra asked.
"No, I can do it." Leo replied. He slowly got closer and closer, until he touched to eyeball and poked a hole that a milky liquid oozed out of. Leo jumped back.
"Here, I'll do it." Libra offered. She expertly cut it up.
Why do I have to look so weak? Leo wondered.
After school that day, Libra approached Leo. "Hey," he greeted her, "What's up?"
Libra stopped in front of him. "You were scared to cut up the cow eyeball, weren't you?" She asked softly.
"I, well, umm, you see, I, yeah I was." Leo admitted. Libra smiled at him.
"Everyone's afraid of something. I am too." Libra said gently.
Leo smiled back at her. Maybe there was one person who understood him.
He thought about telling her about his insecurities. The next minute, he found himself pouring his heart out to her. He told her everything. Libra nodded. "Everyone has insecurities, too. Don't worry."
Suddenly, she kissed him. It was the best thing that Leo had ever felt. When they finally broke apart, Leo was dazed. "What.....what was that for..." He asked.
Libra giggled. "Just because."
