Aries was the best runner at his school. He won all the medals and awards for running at his school and many others. Aries deserved it though, he practiced day and night. Then came the time for the four-school athletics competition.
Taurus was picked for the hammer throw and Sagittariud was picked for the gymnastics part. Aries, of course, was chosen for the 100 meter dash. He took his place at the starting line but froze when he saw one of the competitors. She was a tall, black-haired, brown-eyed girl. Aries saw determination in the girl's set jaw and readiness in her posture.
The announcer began calling out names. "In Lane One, Leo from McHatham. In Lane Two, Scorpio from McKinneth. In Lane Three, Aries from St. Mathews. In Lane Four, Gemini from St. Angela. On your marks,"
Hmm. So her name is Gemini, huh. Aries thought as he got into the starting position.
"Get set," All competitors shifted into the best position.
"Go!" Aries dashed off, determined to win no matter what. Leo and Scorpio were just behind him, but Gemini was catching up, she put on a burst of speed and passed Aries. He sprinted with all his might towards the finish line, and managed to catch up to Gemini just as he crossed it.
The crowd scream and cheered, chanting the four names. Aries bent over to catch his breath and listened to the aftermath.
"Wow, would you look at that folks! I believe we have a tie between Aries and Gemini. Good job, both of you!"
The crowd went wild, screaming and chanting, "Aries! Gemini! Yeah!"
As the javelin competition went on, Aries caught up to Gemini. "Hey, good job in that race. You were pretty good." He said.
"Likewise." The tall female replied.
"So, umm, how much do you practice? I practice for 1 1/2 hours a day." Aries said awkwardly. Jeez, what am I doing? He asked himself.
"2 hours a day." Gemini replied, shooting him a glance.
Aries sighed. "Okay, so, I'm not the kind of person to wait patiently until someone else gets it. I go straight to the point." Gemini eyed him curiously.
"And the point is, I like you. You're cool, athletic, and pretty."
Gemini looked startled for a second before replying, "Who dared you?"
"What?" Aries asked.
"Who dared you? Someone must have dared you to do this, right?" Gemini spoke with a harsh tone.
"No, no one dared me. I really do like you, I promise." Aries almost pleaded.
"Prove it." Gemini said, raising an eyebrow.
Aries stepped forward, pulled her closer, and gave her a kiss. After a minute he pulled away, leaving Gemini gasping for air. She looked at him, her eyes shining.
"Aries, get over here. The awards ceremony is starting!" Taurus yelled from across the field.
"Coming!" Aries yelled back.

"Now, to claim the prize for the 100 meter dash, Aries from St. Mathews and Gemini from St. Angela!" The announcer called.
Aries walked onto the stage, followed by Gemini. He took the trophy, a golden statue of a man running on a pedastal, and held one side. Gemini held the other, and together they hoisted it high into the air. Cameras flashed and Aries smiled wide. This was perfect, on a stage, receiving a trophy for running beside his new love.

There was no place he'd rather be.

I forget who requested this story, I'm so sorry! It was a pretty good pair though, in my opinion. Its kind of based after me a bit. I had to do a relay race against 3 there people on track and field, and I almost won. I'm kind of a Leo in this story. I think. Anyways, I'm just rambling on so, bye and happy reading!
