Try All You Like (Part Two)
Hey guys!! So I've decided to make a part two to the last piece I wrote titled Try All You Like Part One. I know I said that these pieces would be short and none of the stories would be related/linked, but I had a really cool idea and decided to bend the rules a little😁
Do enjoy part two.

Alright Butterflies here you go...
Try All You Like (Part Two)
... Natalie was waiting inside the limo. She didn't expected Adrien back till six thirty, after all, this party was for the girl he'd been talking non-stop about for weeks. Natalie smiled fondly at the thought of Adrien liking a girl. The shy little boy she'd taken care of for years was growing up quite quickly and she could hardly keep up with all the changes. She liked that he was fond of someone despite his father's.... strictness. She would admit to herself - and no one else - that Gabriel's attitude towards Adrien wasn't the best. He hardly communicated with the boy as a normal father should and when he did, it was rigid and robotic. Conversation was always surface never deep or emotional and Natalie would often wonder if Gabriel actually cared about his offspring.
She knew that he could be... difficult to reason with and he hardly ever took her advice when it came to raising Adrien. Gabriel preferred to do things his way, failing to realize that he was stifling what love or respect Adrien had for his estranged father.
Natalie sighed heavily, quieting the rambling going on in her head. She had so much to do when she returned back to the house, but for now she decided to close her eyes and enjoy the little time she had to herself.
It couldn't have been ten minutes later that Adrien appeared before her. His face was twisted in a sulk, his eyes hidden by a tuff of golden hair. His whole body was hunched and guarded. Something was definitely wrong.
"No questions please," he said softly before she could speak, "just take me home."
Natalie's heart ached to see Adrien so broken. This child did not deserve this horrid life.
"Adrien," she called before reaching out to him. His eyes flickered to hers before looking down to the ground. They were full of tears. The waters of a hurting soul were threatening to break their dam at any moment.
"Why does no one love me?" Adrien asked suddenly. Natalie was taken a back by such a question. Here was Paris' most beloved child model with such a ghastly query.
"Why would you think no one loves you?" Natalie responded with her own question. She could feel herself hurting for the boy and she was angry that he had to know such pain and carry such gruesome questions.
The thoughts running through Adrien's head were not good ones. He absolutely believed that things were stacked against him. Nothing seemed right anymore. It was like something bright and shiny had dimmed within him. Like someone had turn off the sun in his soul. The bulb that radiated goodness in the boy had been shattered to smithereens.
"It's obvious really. Mom couldn't take anymore of me so she killed herself," he winced as if the statement hurt. He knew it was not true, but it felt like it was.
"Father blames me for her untimely death and so punishes me, and the girl I love has chosen someone else. It's like I'm cursed. I must be," was his convinced response. He sniffled and dabbed quickly at his eyes.
An icy breeze blew around them, but Natalie didn't even shiver. A numbing sensation had made it's way over her body. The only thing running overtime was her brain as it processed what Adrien had said.
Adrien pulled at the jacket he was wearing. Natalie had not responded to his last remark and for some reason that made him feel worse. At least he believed that she of all people would have some concern for his well-being. Was he just a job to her? The blackhole of negativity that had made it's way to his mind seemed to grow bigger at this thought. Perhaps he was pathetic.
...
In the distance, a lone, dark shadow crept along an attic wall. Someone was approaching hurriedly. Their steps firm and confident even with the pace. Near the center of the room, the figure stopped and slowly raised steepled fingers before him. He could feel a dark energy somewhere in the north of the city. Someone was unpleased. No. Someone was furious.
"Nooroo," the figure spoke the name so lightly, but the Kwami still heard.
"Y-yes Hawk Moth?" came the timid reply.
Hawkmoth's lips stretched into a wide smile. He liked being in charge.
"Dark wings rise,"
...
Natalie wasn't sure what was happening to her. She wasn't very sure of much anymore except the voice. The voice that had started speaking to her in the void of her mind. She was beyond upset over Adrien's state of mind. Someone needed to pay and she was going to be the one to pass the punishment.
"Madam Koi," came the voice, "I am Hawk Moth and I will give you what you so desire. Someone has hurt who you hold dear and his broken hurt cries out for a savior. I will give you the power to shatter the very soul of the guilty individual. Let vengeance be yours and let the one you love hurt no more. All I ask is for you to bring to me the miraculous' of the dreaded Lady bug and Cat Noir. Crush my opponents as you will yours."
Hawk Moth's voice was the only thing Natalie could hear. She wasn't aware of reason or the concern that had coated Adrien's voice as he called to her. She needed to satisfy her hunger to hurt, the need to bring suffering, and that was exactly what Hawk Moth was providing her with.
"I will not fail you Hawk Moth."
...
Adrien jumped back from Natalie.
Did she say Hawk Moth? Oh no.
His eyes grew wide as he watched black smoke circle Natalie's slender frame. As fast as it had appeared, the smoke cleared leaving behind a masked figure dressed in a long black cloak.
"Natalie?" he called. The figure turned to him sharply and cackled long and hard before reaching out a boney hand to stroke his cheek. Adrien shivered. Her touch was frigid.
"Natalie isn't here at the moment."
With great elegance, Madam Koi leaped into the air. She hoovered for a while before casting her eyes upon Adrien's shocked face.
"Don't worry sweet child. I will punish the one who has caused you much sorrow. Sweet Adrien rest assured that all of Paris will adore you. I'll see to it myself,"
With that she shot off in the direction Adrien had feared. She was going for Marinette. There was only one person who could save her.
"Plagg claws out!"
