The Air Show
INTRO: This the my second Black history poem, focusing on Bessie Coleman, the first female African decant american to get a international pilot licence.
Lift those weary eyes to the sky
That's right, they do not lie.
Apilot with skill do flips in the air,
Wowing the crowd as they stare.
She does black flips
and front flips.
twists and turns,
With no worries or concern.
Rushing adrenaline she feels,
Any sense of fear she conceals.
Her stomach drops as she dips,
She licks away the perspiration from her lips,
The engine roars,
The wings glides like river oars.
The propeller spins and whirs,
As the crowd cheers.
Bessie was the first,
Her dream was stronger than thirst.
Even though it was what ended it all,
Bessie Coleman shall be remembered in the black history fame hall.
