Forever And Always: Jimin
Disclaimer: This was written YEARS ago and I decided to repost it to start my Short Story Collection I've improved since then, so I don't think this story is an accurate portrayal of what to expect in this book.

You sit on the couch reading your textbook after eating dinner with Jimin one night. Your legs are intertwined, and you are resting your head on Jimin's shoulder, your body tense as you concentrate. Unaware that Jimin is watching you with loving eyes and a slight smile, you flip the page, then jump slightly when Jimin closes the book and turns you so your back is to him.
"Jimin! What was that for?" You mumble, upset that you've lost your train of thought.
"It's late, and you need to rest. You've been studying all day, and your shoulders are tense," he replies as he begins to massage your shoulders, loosening the tight knots.
"Oh..." You close your eyes and relax as Jimin massages you, listening to the small tune he is humming. You recognise it as the same song he sang to you when he asked you to marry him. Smiling as you think of the memory and see his grandmother's ring on your finger, you slowly sink into his arms. He stops massaging your shoulders and holds you close, his warmth enveloping you as you smell the cologne you got him for his birthday. He places his chin on the top of your head and gently rocks you as you continue smiling softly to yourself, consumed with memories.
"Why are you smiling all of a sudden, hun?" Jimin asks curiously.
"I was remembering the night you proposed to me." Turning to face him, you take his hands in yours and look into the same kind eyes that made you melt the first time you saw them. All of a sudden, you are overwhelmed by his stare and don't want to look away. You know you could stare into his eyes for the rest of your life and die in peace, but you feel compelled to let him know what you are thinking in that moment.
"Jiminie, I know I don't say this enough, but I love you. I love you with all my heart, and sometimes it scares me how much I love you, but I do anyway. I can't help but love you," you say as you gently cup his soft cheek. "I often wish I could erase all your bad memories, but since I can't, I can only be here to create happy memories with you".
You begin to tear up, and Jimin immediately starts kissing your tears away, softly caressing your shoulders to comfort you. He gently moves your hair away from your face and tilts your chin to look up at him.
"Honeybee, I don't want you to ever be scared of loving me. I know others have left you in the past, but I won't. I love you more than life itself, and nothing and no one will ever change that. Out of everyone in the world, you are the only one I want to spend my life loving and start a family with. And out of everyone in this world, you chose me. I know I don't deserve you, but I am grateful I met you. I made a promise to you when I proposed that I would never make you regret marrying me, and I intend to keep that promise to you. I'm here now, forever and always".
"I'm the one who doesn't deserve you!", you say through your tears. Jimin gently shushes you and pulls you to his chest, whispering words of comfort to you until you calm down, listening to the sound of his beating heart. You know it's beating for you because he tells you every day, and a warm feeling spreads in your chest as you listen to his gentle breathing. He then asks you if you are okay.
You sniff and nod, and you and Jimin stay wrapped together for a while before he picks you up bridal-style and carries you to the bedroom, gently laying you down on the bed. As he climbs in with you, you get comfortable, snuggling into his chest as he wraps both arms around you like a strong protective cocoon and kisses the top of your head. You plant a sleepy kiss on his soft lips, and smile as he returns the kiss softly. As you begin to drift into sleep, you hear him whisper to you in your subconscious mind.
"I'm here, my love, and I promise you I'm never letting go. Forever and always."

A/N: This is my next new project, one that I think is easier to manage than my other works lol. Unfortunately, I will not be taking requests. I have seen how things can get out of hand unnecessarily, so I will only be writing stories that come entirely from my own brain; that makes it easier to defend than hoping someone can vouch for me.
