A man ran through the Base's halls with a computer in his hand, a video already pulled up on its screen. The soldiers that he ran past looked at him with confused expressions as he passed them.

He broke through into the conference room and stayed there a second to catch his breath. But this was something more important and he needed to show The President immediately. His glasses had fallen off of his face as he lent down to catch his breath but he didn't care, but  he made sure to quickly grab them as he made his way over to where The President was seated along with seven others. Glasses were expensive, and he couldn't afford to keep losing or breaking a pair every month.

This meeting was something that The President had barely been able to get together considering the Alien attacks from all over the world.

"I-I'm sorry sir to come in unannounced like this, but I'm afraid it is something that cannot wait. Actually I think that everyone needs to see it." The man said a little calmer as he plugged in the laptop to the computer on the wall.

The video came up on the TV and the man pressed play. On the screen it showed the POV of a soldier operating as gunner on top of a tank. The feed showed them coming up on a short clearing with a metallic looking creature that looked very much like a Xenomorph but with a metallic coat. The Tank he was on stopped and everyone got behind it, then the turret turned, stopped, and fired.

The shot blasted the metallic creature backwards and through a tree behind it, but after a few moments the creature got back up and shook its head. Then a large formation similar to a shield extended from its neck and there was a large boom and the tank fired again.

The last sound heard was a sound similar to a shockwave before there was a scream and a metal tearing sound and the screen froze the image of the creature still in clear view. Everyone in the room was shocked, what had they just watched.

"This footage was from a squad sent to the southern sector of a recently culled city. Their assignment was to go there and find out if there were any survivors and locate a potential Hive location." The man said and The President was left speechless for a moment before he told the man to zoom in on the creature as much as possible.

The man did as told and soon a large square of the metallic creature was pulled up on screen, and then the panel cleared up and everyone in the room took a breath. What they saw was no Xenomorph that they'd ever seen before, and they immediately went into investigative mode.

"Where did it come from?"

"Why does it look like that?"

"What can it do?"

But one question got them all filled with dread.

"What can we do to stop it?"

"What can we assume from what we've seen so far?" A woman spoke up and everyone looked at her. "Okay then, firstly we know that this creature can take an American Tank shell and survive, so normal bullets will be useless against it. Secondly it seems to emit a sort of shockwave when it raises its 'hood' per say, and thirdly we know that it seems to have shot something at the American Tank as well as the Shockwave so that means that the Xeno's have another long ranged addition to use against us but it doesn't seem to be very common."

The woman had tan European skin and long dark brown hair that was tied into a ponytail. She was the head of communications in Rome and she had a slight accent when she spoke.

"What is the first coarse of action we should take Mr. President?" One of the male representatives there looked at the American President with expectancy.

"I think that wet need more info about it first before we decide to do something about it" he said and the man nodded in agreement. Standing up the man spoke once more.

"I will send some people to the location and they will be able to evaluate the threat better and report back." He said and one of the men on the other side of him stood up suddenly.

"You would sacrifice your own people for a cause that may not even be achieved?!" He yelled slamming his fist on the table. The other man nodded.

"If it helps defeat these creatures than I will use my forces to help as much as I can, and I can assure you that this does not make me value them any less." The second man growled but sat down, he had a good point.

The American President stops and turned his attention to the one that brought in the footage. "I believe that this meeting is now over, now we need you to tell us exactly where the group encountered this new creature"

"Yes sir," the other man said and after explaining the area and that there was a Hive nearby everyone was dismissed from the room.

Xaez's POV

I wanted to be by mine own's side, even though I knew that all I could do was sit outside of the cell and listen to her screams of pain. I was actually a little thankful now that The Queen sent me on a mission to find the base and watch it for a few days because this way I didn't need to hear her all night and day.

I arrived within an hour of leaving the nest, thankfully there were no humans outside of the base because I don't know if I would've been able to restrain myself from eating them.

I looked around for some food and after a little while of moving around the base and looking at the humans bustling around in it I smelled a deer close and immediately ripped it apart. Then I made my way back over to the human base and I saw them moving around faster than usual.

I looked around as to a reason why and saw that there was a large plane that I've seen able to carry many humans and supplies across long distances. The plane was a long ways away and yet the humans seemed to move around like it was the end of the world. Suddenly I hat's a whirring sound and one of the guns they had arranged to the wall lifted top and started to move around. The red beam of light passing over me and I growled. I wouldn't be able to move any closer than I was due to that thing.

I shifted my position and watched as the plane landed and a bunch more humans came out from the back. I haven't seen this many in one place before now, they even brought out more cars and some smaller Tanks that seemed to move faster than the one that we'd seen earlier.

I growled, I needed to tell the Queen of this immediately, but I would wait until they left the base and maybe snag a few...no that would be too risky they might realize that they were watched this entire time and replan their attack, but then again that would give mine own more time to finish molting. Maybe it was the best idea, I guessed that I could take out...wait, mine own is going to want to kill and eat lot of creatures after her first molt. I growled in frustration, I would have to wait until they left the base and then I would go to and report this to The Queen. Hopefully mine own will be done by then.

It's been two days now, and all they've done is start shooting, non-stop for days now and it was interrupting with my sleep and I wanted to rip them apart for it, but I couldn't, that was reserved to mine own to do.

I suddenly heard silence, even the tanks had stopped wasting ammo and then one of them started to move, I watched as they all turned a different direction and then stopped. There was a large boom as they all shot at the same time and the areas around me exploded as their large bullets tore through trees and exploded against the ground.

I jumped and went to move but the tanks seemed to be going back to the way that they were and then the army of humans started to move forwards, towards the opening gates. The Tanks were in front, cars on the sides, and all of the humans were in the back, but there was a car blocking even the back so even if I tried to snag a few I wouldn't have been able to go unnoticed.

I got up from where I lay and I shot towards the nest, mine own should be able to handle the thousand or so humans coming towards us herself, and if she wasn't then we would be there to help her. I reached the nest in half the time it took me to get to the human base and I bowed before The Queen.

I already know based on your coming back so soon. How many? The Queen asked and I was a little stunned of course she'd know that me coming back meant that there was going to be an attack.

There's about 1500 maybe 1700 of them, easily something that mine own will be able to handle. I said and then I realized that I just claimed her aloud and I hadn't meant to do that until a while later. The Queen did look pretty interested in it though and then she asked the very thing that I hoped she wouldn't.

Why do you think she is yours? The Queen said clocking her head, it wasn't a challenge question, but it was something that I needed to be careful in answering.

I don't know, it's not that I think of her as mine to rule over, I think of her as more a companion that I really want to be with and never want to leave nor risk hurting in some way. I said the truth deciding that it was better than trying to come up with something else.

Good answer young one. The Queen said and I breathed in relief, she is already done with her molt and is trying to get out of the cell. I'm afraid that even I may have to leave when I let her out.

Why? I cocked my head, I didn't hear anything from her cell, but when I looked over to it I saw that the wall was a decent bit thicker then I last saw it, why was that?

Suddenly there was a large explosion and the outside part of the wall cracked, and I realized why it was thicker. She was trying to break out, already?!

Actually I think that I'll only be able to hold her in for another hour or so, hopefully the humans are close by then otherwise she might exterminate us all. The Queen sounded cautious and she spit a black substance that covered the wall once more, making it thicker than before and causing a screech of rage to come from the cell.

Is she that dangerous right now? I asked and The Queen hissed in confirmation.

Yes, she does not know friend from foe and she barely follows my commands to stop breaking through. She is far more powerful than I originally thought she was. I looked at the cell mine own was in and we waited, and for an hour the cell was blasted with light and power. Sometimes three in a row, sometimes only once but that one was so powerful that there was a small hole formed in the cell opening every time.

The Queen never stopped spitting that reinforcing material on the wall whenever it got too damaged, but soon The Queen began to grow tired and she spit another reinforcing layer over the wall. Finally she looked at her Praetorians, and then she looked at me.

That was my last time reinforcing the wall, the next time she breaks through I will not be able to prevent it. She said and then she sent a Hive message. I need all of my children to hide for the moment, you may come back out in ten minutes, do this now or die.

I was shocked, 'hide or die' was mine own really that powerful that The Queen ordered her entire Hive to hide?

There, hopefully that will be enough to keep them safe when she leaves. The Queen said and she stood up, though a little shakily. My, I need to get up and move around more, I've grown too used to being protected by those around me that I've neglected my own powerful body.

I heard a series of cracks and pops as she stood and took a step, her Praetorians all focused on the cell that mine own was in with two at her sides holding her up and two in the back to protect should the cell burst open suddenly.

The Queen dug a quick hole big enough to fit her, me, and her Praetorians inside of comfortably and then she sealed the top over us, and just as there was a large explosion from the cell mine own was in too.
