I started on attempting to complete my homework. It was a a dark night and I could hear the branches of the trees rustling just outside my window.

All of a sudden, a facebook notification popped up on my phone. The title was, " Missing girl, body never found" Unfortunately, my inevitable curiosity got the better of me and I clicked on the link. As a result, I went to a blank page and waited impatiently for the news to appear. To my dismay, after waiting for about 5 minutes, it had still not loaded and so, I closed the tab on my phone and put it down, proceeding on accomplishing my homework.

Within seconds of putting my phone down...

The lights flickered off and on.

I could not call for help since both of my parents were handling a financial problem in my home country, Philippines.

I dashed out of my room and bolted into the toilet which was the nearest room I could go. I washed my face with water from the sink and eyed at myself in the mirror. As I explored myself in the mirror, I noticed an extremely obvious change in the background.

Hair was seeping from the top of the room!

I pivoted on my heel and stared at the mysterious finding... Until, it began to descend and I could see it's face upside down.

I immediately twisted the door knob and ran out to the living room.

Once I reached my destination, I dropped onto the couch with a heavy sigh and moments later, I was sleeping like an innocent baby. The next morning, I woke up with a migrain even though I slept so peacefully the night before.

I recalled the day before and dismissed the strange events as a dream. My life continued on normally and I sometimes caught myself searching about the girl, but my attempts were futile as I found nothing. There were similar news but none of them were near where I lived, so the idea was soon out of my mind.

A few months later, I found my family and I moving out to a new house as the last house was under investigation by the Police because they found evidence of a current murder there.

Years after that, a new family lived at that house. A 12- year-old boy was doing his homework under the comfort of his home without his parents. And just as he was completing his last question...
