Blood prom
Prom. A time for fun. A time for a girl to have some fun. A time you never forget. My name is Emily and this prom was definitely a night to remember forever.
~end of school day~
"I can't wait to go to prom! It's going to be exciting!" Madison said. Madison is my best friend ever since we were babies. Our moms are best friends too. "Same" I said and got my stuff out of my locker. "I can't wait to dance with Tommy" Madison said. Tommy is her boyfriend. "And I can't wait to eat all the food," I said. I wasn't the party type. In fact, I don't even have a date. I'm just going because of the food. "You pig" Madison joked " You know you can ask Max to go to the prom with you," she said " yea, but I don't wanna" I lied. He is my crush. "too late. I asked him last night and he said yes. I told him to ask you" she said "I don't believe you," I said "here he comes," she said. I turned around and there he was. "Hey, Emily..um...d-do you wanna go to prom with me?" He asked. My heart melted. He is so cute and sweet yet so shy and emo. "Sure" I said trying to act cool "great. I'll pick you up at six" he said and quickly walked away. I think he was blushing too. "Now you get to go to prom with emo kid" Madison joked again. I punched her in the arm playfully. Ding! The bell rang. "Well, that's the bell. I'll see you at the prom" I said "bye" Madison said and we went separate ways. My locker is farther away from her and I still have to ride the bus because my mom doesn't want me to somehow. I even have a car or I could of asked my brother to drive me. He's so lucky mom loves him more.
When the bus arrived at my house I got off. I went inside my house and tossed my book back to the side. "I'm home!" I shouted. I smelled of food. Mom must be cooking. I head towards the kitchen and find my mother cooking food. "What are you making?" I asked "pizza," she said. She put on her oven mitts and took the pizza out of the oven. She then placed it on the countertop. "You'll have to wait until it's cooled off," she said "it smells delicious. Oh! Guess who asked me to prom mom!" I said "I don't know. Who?" She asked "Max, my crush! I'm so excited!" I said "congratulations, can you get your brother. I need to have a talk with you two. It's important" she said. Without asking questions I go upstairs to where Henry my brother is. Since he didn't have to ride the bus he came home quicker. I knock on his door. "What do you want?!" He yelled "mom wants to talk to us together! I think it's important!" I shouted back. Usually when she wants to talk to us both then it's important. My brother opens the door and we both head downstairs to where mom was.
"I know it's a prom night for you two and I want you two to have fun, but I don't want you to drink the punch. The punch has too many calories so I want you two to drink water" my mom said. My mom is very strict about what we eat. She always makes us eat healthy stuff. I don't really care about it though. "Okay" I said, "and that's what you want to talk about that's so important?" My brother asked "it is important" my mother raised her voice. She only does this when one of us are in trouble. My brother rolled his eyes and went back upstairs into his room. My mother didn't do anything when he rolled his eyes. She either didn't notice it or didn't care for some reason. "Don't worry mom, I won't drink the punch" I said "at least someone will listen to me?" she said.
~a few hours later~
I put on my dress.
(That's her dress. I'm not really good at describing things yet)
"You look beautiful," my mother said "thank you," I said "and you look handsome," she told my brother "thanks," he said. He just had a regular black suit on with a black tie. He then left and drove away to pick up his date to the prom. I head outside as well. I see Max's car pulling into the driveway. He put the window down. "Y-You look beautiful," he said. I can see hun blushing. He's so cute. "Bye mom" I want goodbye to her and get inside of Max's car. She waved back. Max then drove away.
We were finally at school. Max opened the door and I got out of the car. My heart started pumping. "I feel kinda nervous about this," I said "don't worry, I bet it'll be fun," he said. He held my hand. I held it back. "Oh, I almost forgot my water bottle," I said. I took it out of the car and put it in my purse. We both walked in. We walked into the auditorium. The auditorium was decorated in a mermaid theme since the theme was under the sea. "This looks amazing" I said "yea" Max said.
I began to look around for Madison. "Hey!" Someone shouted. I looked behind me and it was her. I walk towards her direction. "Hey" I said and hugged her. She was wearing a beautiful dress that has blue and white in it.
(That's what it looks like)
"You look beautiful in that dress" I said "you do too" she said. "Well, what are we standing around for? We should be dancing!" Tommy said. Then we all started to dance. At first, I was kinda nervous at dancing and, but after a while I started to enjoy it. I never was invited to parties so I didn't really dance a lot especially in front of people.
After a while of dancing, I started to get thirsty. "Do you want a drink?" Max asked me "no thanks, the punch had too much sugar. I'll just drink my water" I said and took a few gulps of my water. "Okay, I'll be back" Max said. He then proceeded to walk to the punch bowl. "The punch taste weird," someone said. Maybe it's because they put too much sugar in it. "Have you tried this punch?" Madison asked "no, my mother wanted me to drink water so I'm only drinking water," I said "the punch is really bad so you're lucky you brought water" Madison said "I guess I am," I said.
About an hour has passed and I was kinda tired out. I sat at one of the tables and so did Max. "So are you having fun?" Max asked "yeah, aren't you?" I asked "Well kinda, this isn't really my thing, but I still wanted to ask you though. I didn't think you would say yes though" Max said. A blush was rising from his cheeks. "I didn't know you were going to ask me" I smiled. He smiled back.
All of a sudden I heard a girl screaming. I stood up quickly and looked to see who it was. People were gathering around someone, but I couldn't see it since I am short. All I heard was someone throwing up. "He's throwing up blood! Someone call 911!" A person shouted. Blood? Do they have some type of cancer? I then heard someone else throw up. Then another. Then another. Then everyone one by one started throwing up blood everywhere. I screamed and backed up. One by one people started falling on the floors like flies. I look to see if Max was okay, but he wasn't. He was also on the floor. Blood was spilling out of his mouth. I took out my phone and tried to dial 911. Tried. " This line is busy," it said. I hung up and dialed if again. "This line is busy," it said again. I ran towards Max. "I'm sorry, the 911 line is busy. I..I don't know what to do" I said. My mind was racing with questions. My body was full of fear and adrenaline. "M-My body...i-it f-f-feels like it's o-on fire" Max said. I sat by him. "It's okay, everything will be okay. I think" I said. I took out my phone again and dialed 911 again
And again and again. After a while, I thought it was useless. That's when I forgot that I could run for help. I shoved past the bloody people laying on the floor screaming and crying for help and made my way towards the exit. I tried opening the door, but it was locked. I looked for another exit but found nothing at all. If only I could break a window. Unfortunately, we don't have windows in our school auditorium. Why is this happening. I want back into the room full of laying bloody bodies. I realized only I was the one who didn't experience these symptoms. I don't know why, but I didn't. That's when I heard a voice coming from the speakers.
"You may be wondering why this is happening. Well, it's because the punch bowl had a special chemical so you can't be tired and have a lot of energy, but safely. At least that's what we thought. You are our test subjects after all so you all will die slowly unless we run out of time. Then we must kill you. I must thank your principle for letting us do this to you." the voice said. The voice sounded familiar, but I was too busy worrying about the others. They all drank the punch, but me. Tears ran down my cheeks. I'm going to lose my best friend who's been there for me always, my crush who is such a wonderful person, and my brother who might be annoying, but he's still family.
Everyone screamed even louder. Madison crawled towards me. "D-Don't worry...they c-can't be sure a-about this..right?" She said. I sat next to her and held her in my arms. "I love you. You were always there for me. You always stuck to me no matter what. Even when my old friends left me. Even when I almost committed suicide. You are and always will be my best friend" I said. Madison's eyes grew cold. Her heart no longer pumped.
Everywhere I looked was chaos. I looked at the punch bowl. There was still some left. Maybe if I..no..mother would he heartbroken. But..she warned us about not drinking the punch and...oh god...my mother was the one who was speaking through the speakers. I stood up and began looking for my brother.
After a while of searching I found him laying on the floor. He's still alive, but he looked like the rest. I sat next to him and put his head on my legs. "I know who did this to us" I said "I-It was a mom," he said weakly "how did you know?" I asked "I-I should k-k-know what she s-sounds like" he said "You're so dumb! You should have listened to what mom told you to do! Now...now you're going to die!" I shouted. Angry tears ran down my cheeks. "I-I didn't know..t-that this..w-would happen," he said. He's right. He didn't know. No one knew this was going to happen. But why? Why is my mother apart of this? "Mom! If you can hear me speak!" I shouted. "I'm sorry little girl. Your brother didn't listen. But that's his fault, isn't it? I never really loved him anyhow. He was always the troublemaker, but you. You are my sunshine" my mother said "how dare you! He's your son!" I shouted "b-bitch" my brother said. He threw up more blood. I touch his cheek. I put my head against his and cried sad tears. "I don't want this," I said "Well that's too bad sweety. This is life" my mother said. I sit up straight. "This isn't right. You're not even sad about your son dying. About any of us dying. You down deserve to live. You don't deserve me" I said. I stood up. "Don't!" She shouted. My brother grabbed apart from my dress. "Don't" he said.
~flash back~
"Don't" he said. I held the knife against my throat. I was about to slit my throat. "Please don't, you have a long life to live. Don't waste it on this. We haven't even made it to prom yet. We haven't even turned 18 yet. Don't do this. It's not worth it. Besides if you die then I die too" he said, " you would kill yourself too?" I asked "yes, after all, you're the only person I like in this family," he said. I smiled and dropped the knife on the ground. He then hugged me. I hugged back.
~end of flash back~
"Just like you said, if you die then I die too" I said. He let go of my dress. I walked towards the punch bowl. I set the bowl on to the floor. I then put my head in it. I let the bubbles float out of my mouth. The sounds of screaming started fading away. I let the darkness consume my soul. Prom. A time for fun. A time for a girl to have some fun. A time you never forget. My name is Emily and this prom was definitely a night to remember forever, but this will also be the last time I live.

To be honest, when I first wrote this I only wrote one paragraph and forgot the whole thing ever existed until now. After all, I wanted to create a horror story since it is October or should I say Spooktober!! To be honest I just wrote all of this now and it's currently 11:13 pm at night.
I got this idea from A scene from A movie called Cabin Fever 2: Spring fever. Here's a scene where I mainly got the idea from.
