Texting with the tap-tapping of my fingers, going and going. Writing message after message. Continuously responding to every text, email, and comment I got. It was non-stop. Then for once I did stop. A text, not any ordinary text saying like 'hello' or something simple like that. It was different. I quickly opened it and read it thoroughly. It was from Cory.

Y/N ~ But my parents don't let me out this late.

C ~ Plz Y/N, just get here in any shape or form you can.

Y/N ~ Ok ok, I'm coming.

C ~ Ok text me when you get close.

I then put my phone in my pocket, closed my bedroom door as quietly as I could, listened if anyone was coming, then set a decoy. I quickly set up a decoy of myself laying in bed, under the covers. Then quickly turned the light off, opened the window then swiftly jumped out. I then started sprinting all the way until I almost got to the park entrance. I decided to text Cory to let him know I was on my way, and almost there. I took out my phone and texted him, he then quickly replied with a smiley emoji. Then said 'Can't wait'. I smiled and put my phone in my back pocket.

My outfit caught my eye, and I immediately regretted my choice of not changing. My outfit was a blue and white the dye sweater that made it look like ice, blue jean shorts, white vans, and a white flower crown. Yet, I still agreed it was a pleasant look. Then I started to question something, why did he want me to come to the park at this time? What would be the reason? They were silly questions but why not question it. Cory was always a creative boy, with very weird ideas. His imagination was big, like Ashlie's, but they didn't usually agree on certain topics. I smiled as I remembered a time when the two were arguing about if we would paint the office red or blue. Cory soon won with the color red because it did match everything else.

However, it baffled me that Cory had taken on photography. He had always had a certain liking to cameras, and their styles. That's why his icon was a camera. It was his favorite. But, why now and not earlier? It was weird.

**A Little Later**

Walking along the grass and on the sidewalk, I was now in the park. Following the path Cory had told me to follow. The middle road. My father would always talk about this path that, "both the foolish and the brave ones dare not to travel down the middle road." It was supposed to be an old saying my grandfather said, but he had never told me.

I decided to text Cory one last time to just tell him I had almost arrived. I took out my phone and started texting. I sent the message, with him immediately responding, "You already are here." I look up to see sparkling fairy lights, strung across the trees, a picnic blanket laid across the grass, and a few candles scattered around it in the grass.

Cory stood next to the blanket smiling. A light red blush across his cheeks. He wore a dressy white shirt, black jean shorts, and his white vans. I smiled as I felt a hot sensation rise upon my cheeks. I touched them, and they felt warm. A light red blush scattered across my face.

"Would you like to sit?" He asked.

I nodded and sat on the blanket, he sat on the other side and placed a few plates and cups on the blanket. Some plates held food, such as, biscuits, shrimp, and vegetables. He prepared all this, for me?, I thought. He poured some soda into my glass and I smiled.

"So this is a date I'm guessing?" I asked smirking.

"Yeah, I guess you could call it that." He smiled, and we continued the date.
