I woke up early. I could tell by the air that it was morning. I hesitated but got out of bed and headed down the ladder leading up to where my bed was. It had only been three years. I sighed. The foul odor of rotting corpses outside the barn was something I had come used to. I pushed the large barn doors open ready to deal with anyone who came after me today.

My power trace had been aimed to attract Alec and Danny and Skylor but....others had been the ones to find me. I was surprised to see a group, fairly large, in the path of the sun. I counted 6. I grabbed my glaive and walked out. They were walking towards me as I approached.

There were 4 guys. One was quite tall and a little lanky. He had black hair and ivory eyes. Another had black hair as well but green eyes and was more body-built. The third had brown hair violet eyes, with looks similar to the second. The fourth had dirty blonde hair, blue eyes.

There was three girls, I had miscounted the people. One had blonde hair brown eyes. The second lady wore a hood that covered her face and silver hair. The last was a little girl. She had pinkish toned hair and blue eyes.

I spun my glaive around trying to intimidate them a little. I didn't want to kill them but I don't think I would have the choice if they came at me.
"Leave now. I don't want to hurt you." I said while looking at the little girl.

The silver haired girl stepped infront of her.

"We don't want to hurt you either"
and with that they all faded away. I took a step back. Then I managed to hear something from behind me. I backed up just as a sword sliced my arm. It clearly would've made a deep wound had I not moved.

They all came back into sight. They had all shuffled around. The brown hair guy was behind me and the blonde haired guy was infront of me. I dodged them blacked their attacks. The green eyed man came at me. I ducked and tried to trip him over. He stumbled but refrained his footing. The silver haired girl charged up a seemingly yellow charm or spell. This distracted me and the blonde haired guy landed another blow on me. I fell back then rolled to the side.

1 v 7. I can do this. Right? I dodged an attack from the brown haired guy and cut his right arm. He hissed and dropped his sword. I went to go after him again when someone screamed out to him.

"Capian! Get back!" I was thrown back in a bluer of yellow. The silver girl had her eyes had pulled Caspian back using her magic and had jut hit me with magic. I got up just in time to get my glaive and block an attack from the black haired warrior.

"Don't touch my brother!" He yelled.
He seemed so familiar. My hood fell down as I stood up. Apparently hurting his brother was a trigger. He landed blow after blow. Shallow, but enough to slow me down. I had clearly overestimated my abilities. Suddenly I get myself being picked up. I was caught by surprise and dropped my weapon. I looked at the other magic user who's hand was encased in black, as was I.

He threw his hand to the side and I was tossed in that direction at a tree. I smashed into it, nearly breaking it in half. He tried to throw me again but I used my own music to throw him back. He hit his head and knocked out. The blonde hair guy screamed out something then came at me. I had had enough of this charade. I used my magic to throw him back. His sword was throw from his hand as he fell to the ground ground. I charged at him. Over the wind I heard a high pitched shriek.

"Daddy!" I paused just as the girl threw herself in front of me. She was facing towards me but had her eyes closed as she cried.

He was her dad? I should've seen this coming. I could not let her go what I had been through. I put my weapon away. The man pushed her back behind me and glanced at his sword which had clattered away.

"Zoey stay behind me."

This caught me off guard. Z-zoey? That was my daughter's name. And those blue eyes she had. Her apparent age. Surly it couldn't be. I started crying. The man was clearly confused but didn't let his guard down.

"If you're going to kill us, spare her."

"I. I never could leave a child without a father. You should know that- Alec."
He was taken by surprise.

"T-the hell!? How do you know my name."
I moved the hair out of my face and wiped away my tears.

"It's been three years has it not? You've changed a lot. And you are traveling with more people. Zoey. She's grown so much. But do you remember me?"
His jaw dropped.

"M-micha!? How the- I don't even- what's going on!?"
I chuckled.

"We both have a lot of explaining to do. Now call of your friend. I know she is about to attack." I said gesturing to the silver haired girl.

"N-Nina! Cut it out."

"Alec!? What do you mean!? She jus-"
His glare was enough to make her stop.

"Is invite to my place but it's not exactly hospitable. Please. We can talk things out. We just all need to cal down." I pleased.

They all seemed hesitant.

"H-here." I walked over to Caspian who pulled away.
"I just want to help" I insisted. I used my magic to heal him, then sat down. I could see it now.

Alec, Danny, Skylor. They had changed. And they had made some friends. Zoey, she had grown a lot. I had missed 3 years of my daughters life. And I had been this close to killing the love of my life. Guess it had been so long since I've seen them. I had forgotten how much people change.

Alec sat next to me, Zoey in his lap. I sighed as the rest sat down but kept their distance. I opened my mouth and began to start my story.
