A story of Harley and jokers last day on earth

Harley-
My legs felt heavy and my eyelids were dropping tiredly. I didn't know if I could keep running but I knew I'd be okay.
Because he was right next to me.

"W-we're gonna be okay." He kept saying, the words replaying in my head in case I'd forget.
I could tell he wasn't so sure about the words coming out of his mouth because of his constant breathing and slight panic in his voice.

We were both running from the police without a plan, and they were completely crushing us.
And thinking it was smart to run up the stairs of a large apartment building, the police ended up seeing us running and followed us.

Everything was just to much for me as I felt like my whole body wasn't going to have it.
I heard the loud footsteps behind, meaning they were getting close, and our life was slowly shrinking.

My mind kept racing as I hadn't noticed that tears were slowly dripping down my cheek.
Joker and I were both hand in hand as he continued to drag me toward the top of the spiraled stairs until reaching the final top balcony where we could see the view of the night sky.
It was probably the last time I'd ever see it again.

Something inside of me weakened as I began spilling out tears, knowing that we had no choice but to live the rest of our lives in jail.
We had nothing.

Joker noticed my sudden sobs as he instantly walked over to comfort me.
I knew deep inside of him he was also giving up.
We just stood there in silence as I watch him bring his hand up to my face, making she I was facing directly at him.
I smile weakly, his deep blue eyes slowly calming me down.

He slowly brings his other hand around my waist, pulling me closer as I hold on to the back of his neck, letting my tears fall on his cold skin.
He smirks, pressing his soft lips against my plump ones, both of us giving all we had left into that single kiss.
And for once for what to me felt like forever, I smiled.

He notices me smiling I into the kiss as he pulls back, laughing amusingly once again, making my heart happy to see him happy.
I giggle looking back up at his beautiful blue eyes, wiping away a few tears he was shedding with my thumb.
I smiled hopelessly as I caressed his face once more, bringing him in for another kiss.
But- that didn't happen.

"I finally found you clown idiots." An officer chuckled, his voice angering me.
I swiftly pulled away, courageously walking up to the officer with pride in my veins before joker pulls be back.

H laughs at the mans words, clenching onto my hand harshly as I bite my lip in fear.
I didn't realize what he was doing until he brought me to the edge of the high building.

I gulp, my heart racing as I look back at him with trembling lips.

"I love you Harley." He whispered, the two of us giving no shits about the mocking officers behind us.

"I love you to Puddin, always." I whisper back, smiling widely as I knew it would be my last smile I'd over give to him.
I grasp on tightly to jokers hand, squeezing it to make sure I wouldn't ever let go.
I close my eyes, knowing the next words coming out of his mouth, ignoring the sudden shouts of officers and sirens.

"Jump."

I know, this was a short oneshot and I apologize in advance.
I've just been so busy with school that I have no inspiration or ideas for them.
I will keep trying to continue this book, but pretty please with a cherry on top leave me ideas in the comments.
